  1. That's what the narrative has been all season. Not enough talent. It's easy to think too considering that key personnel have been missing because of injury nearly all season. I agree with this post, though. There is talent on this team. One of the things that stand out is that even with injuries, and always having to scheme around those missing from the lineup, the Bills are still in the thick of the playoff hunt. Josh isn't the only one making plays out there, though . Players are coming up big in big moments and have been all season. Because we don't have a dominant WR getting 1200yds per season people are critical of the overall talent. Because we don't have a holy terror rushing the passer, people are critical of the overall talent. Every team has weaknesses, though. It just so happens that the Bills are weak in the areas that most critics think is key to the success of this team. I do think the Bills are going to win this upcoming game against NE. They are now dealing with some injuries of their own. 2 starting LBs that are going to be defending against TEs and RBs could get ugly for them. They also are down a DT that was key for them defending the run. The problem for NE is that their injuries are in areas that are going to cause problems for them. I think the Bills are going to put up more points than the Pats can handle.
  2. Wow. Only DNP is Knox for personal. Things are looking up.
  3. I think with the number of games being played today, there should be 60 players on the active roster. NFL rules suck.
  4. I think there will be opportunities for Cook for sure. NE is struggling against the run right now. This is going to be another strong showing for both RB and TEs. That's perfect because this will keep that defense on their heels. Add in an Allen run or two and it could really get interesting. I don't now about another Pittsburgh like game, but it sure could be a dominant rushing attack.
  5. Not since week 11
  6. That was fun. I don't have any hair left, but yeah....fun
  7. A strip sack on Joe would be delicious.
  8. The Bills are going to bully these scrubs. Go Bills!
  9. Really think it is the Bengals that are hanging on by a hope and a prayer in this one. They are a passing team, not a running team. They'll probably get a few big plays, but they are way more inconsistent than the Bills. That defense of theirs, whoa is it bad. Like historically bad and now they have to go up against one of the scoringest offenses in the league? Their only chance is to have a shootout game but Buffalo is going to keep their offense off the field by controlling the clock. To make matters worse that defense can't stop the run or the pass. No, the only real weapon they have a potentially dominant passing attack which just happens to be what the Bills defense is good at defending. Going to be a boring game where the Bills run the ball a lot to see if that defense can slow it down. I think they crumble by the 3rd qtr.
  10. That was that Houston defense. They had Allen's number in that game. Can't imagine any other defense in the league able to do that.
  11. If they are the 1 seed, they won't even play in the 1st round.
  12. Still, this offense needs him to drop back and also be a threat to run. He just can't have games where he is getting sacked 7 friggin' times. I think Allen's ability to scramble is an xfactor that drives defenses crazy trying to defend. His cannon for an arm isn't what makes him special. It's his ability to scramble and make plays off script.
  13. Didn't Hyde or Poyer come here from GB? Is there something from GB that McD and Beane like in safeties?
  14. I'd be very surprised if Miami beat NE.
  15. If you can run, that's the best way to win with this offense. Run and then run some more. Make that last place defense give up. Control time of possession. Keep the Cincy offense off the field. We can still throw a few bones to the TEs. We can still throw to the RBs. We can still throw a few passes to WRs. But there is absolutely no reason not to make this a run heavy game. Cincy is weak at both LB and Safety. Running it is how you dominate this game.
  16. What gives me hope is the defense is starting to look legit. I've seen some better play from the secondary. Yesterday, the run defense held up pretty good. Nice to see some turnovers in our favor too. I personally think a Josh Allen lead offense will get the job done but how deep into the playoffs we go, it's going to come down to defense. Fingers crossed.
  17. Oh, they were going for it. You could tell by how pissed, Brady was over the penalty. He had something up his sleeve and couldn't do it because of the penalty.
  18. TE's came up big a couple of times too. Pass game isn't as bad as many think. Get a couple of guys back and we could see something special heading into the playoffs. I think they're beginning to figure some things out.
  19. I'm glad to have Gabe back. He should be good for a couple of 1st downs. Just need to get some other WRs doing the same. I am really growing tired of seeing those WR screens to Shakir, though. One of those is going to get him killed. Really think there is some talent at the position but the pass concepts don't seem to be used properly to exploit matchups. Hoping Brady is growing as an offensive play caller. He's had some great games and some real stinkers. You learn from your mistakes. Maybe he'll get here....fingers crossed.
  20. I think the Bills win by double digits. 30 - 17 Can't see their offense scoring more than that. Josh isn't putting on a Superman cape in this one but he does enough to pull ahead. This could be an even bigger lead if Josh is dialed in enough to avoid turnovers.
  21. So if Cook rips off a 50yd run, is that small ball? Or if a TE catches a ball 20yds downfield out of heavy personnel, is that small ball? Or RB slipping out into the flat and taking it to the house, small ball? I think a lot of people assume that 12 and 13 personnel is small ball. How many times have we seen big plays out of this? I'd wager more than you think. Not saying you don't have a point, though. Allen needs to be unleashed. But if you think our offense is going to hold up to a team that has an excellent pass rush and an excellent backend, while running 4 WRs all game, you're going to be disappointed.
  22. I think the problem is injuries are forcing a lot of changes on our defense. Losing defensive linemen being the biggest factor. That effects how LBs play the run too. To many changes too rapidly to settle into a solid unit. Run defense is a whole team effort. Each player depends on the guy next to him but the players keep changing. Gotta get these injuries to settle down so the run D can settle in.
  23. Talk D? Do we have to?
  24. Yeah, this is kind of what the offense has needed to do all along but in some games waited until the 4th qtr to try going back to the pass and it was too late. Last week there were actually 4 WRs in a spread offense for much of the game. Maybe switching things up would help. I have a sneaking suspicion that we're going to go right back to 12 and 13 personnel. And only go 4 wide occasionally. I could be way off here. They may just continue slinging it. Kincaid is likely out so not really sure. My fear in this game is that this is a D that is the best in the league at pressuring the QB. The Bills offense can be a load if they can find a way to run and pass. That will take the steam out of even the best defense. Don't want to let their D make us one dimensional.
  25. I really think the Bills go right back to running the ball. Yes, the Texans have a good DLine, but the Bills have a good OLine. It's strength on strength. The Texans are aggressive and a good way to neutralize an aggressive front is to run right at them. A defense like this is used to doing the smacking around, but we have an offense that is built to smack right back. It's not necessarily ball control either because an over aggressive D can give up big plays. I think the Bills run at them then take a few shots too. But that may not even be necessary if Cook goes off.
