You aren't going to get it with a different coach. Who exactly do you think is going to come in and do a better job?

The KC Vs Chargers game implications for the Bills
Rockinon replied to BigAl2526's topic in The Stadium Wall
They've all ready lost a game to a division foe and have you seen the brutal schedule for them? -
Tomorrow night's game is not a gimme for the Ravens. Just sayin.

Watching the playoff game against the Ravens right now. The narrative is that the Ravens are bigger and physically more physically imposing. The 1st qtr of that game is a completely different narrative Bills imposing their will with both DL and OL. Then Rapp goes down and immediately after there is a huge pass play.

The KC Vs Chargers game implications for the Bills

Wouldn't be surprised if the Chiefs miss the playoffs all together. -
Well I hope he ends up with more than just one a Super Bowl but when his career ends he can say he won multiple. I have no idea what "momyand" is.

Josh Has His First Rushing TD Celebration Preplanned?
Rockinon replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall
That would be funny to see Josh do. I don't think many people would have any idea what that is all about. -
History said what the Bills and Allen have all ready done, couldn't be done. But it happened. The number of records that Allen has shattered is amazing. In my opinion, the only real reason McD is getting so much flack is that the defense has slumped. This isn't necessarily on him though. He has a pretty long history of being a damn good defensive coach and has an ability to get good to great performance from average talent. The narrative that he doesn't have the leadership ability seems grossly over hyped. These players love playing for their coach and that speaks volumes and IMHO is way more important than all of the hot takes I keep reading from armchair GMs.

That and playing in a weak division.

Week 1, Nevermores v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
Rockinon replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh and company go on a heater. They come out firing on all cylinders and nothing that the ravens defense does seems to work. The Ravens do get off a few good drives but Buffalo's defense is sick of hearing about slow starts and come out fired up for the home crowd. Manage to get some key stops. The twelfth man causes at least a couple of false starts and the Ravens offense tries to fight through it but they can't keep up with MVP Josh. Bills 38 Ravens 28 And the debate over who should be MVP ends here and now. -
Having a "Chip" doesn't always work out. It can just as easily lead to boneheaded mistakes. I'm not scared of the Ravens because the Bills are equally as scary to deal with. Both teams have great players and perhaps the Ravens have more overall talent. However, I think the Bills have more sophisticated team players. It's a wash, but the Bills are a smart team trying to get tougher. The Ravens are a tough team trying to get smarter.

I think Milano healthy is an underrated advantage for this defense. We have been watching underwhelming backups to this point in the preseason and a lot of people have forgotten how good this defense is when he's on the field. Also, Benford is better than we imagined and Williams is an "up and comer". The defensive line has got some new juice too. People are pretty worried about the Ravens running all over us but that scenario is not likely how this is going to play out. The big men on defense are healthy. Jackson is going to have to pass to win this game while we are weak at the defensive back positions. However, if the big men can disrupt Lamar, he'll get frustrated and make mistakes. Mistakes like trying to take off with Milano in pursuit, or throwing up air-balls for our defenders to intercept. The way I see it, it's a tall tall order trying to beat the Bill's in their house on opening weekend, in prime time. The Bills have had some slow starts and I think they are well aware of that. The coach has all ready reprimanded players for coming out flat and not playing with fire in the preseason. I'm expecting the Bills to be shot out of a cannon, strait at the bewildered Ravens in this one. I'm expecting the 12th man to be a factor. I'm expecting the negative Nancy's to eat some crow and like it. My expectation is to read the headline the next day "Are the Ravens Overrated?". Time to change the narrative. Go Bills!

The Ravens are coming into our house in primetime on opening night. We have MVP Allen, a great OL and an improved DL. The Bills also beat this team the last time they played in the playoffs. Yet the majority of posts sound like we have little chance of winning this game. This is no gimme game for the Ravens. Far from it. The Ravens have to develop a game plan to beat the Bills. That's no easy undertaking. They then have to execute that game plan. Also no easy undertaking. This game is going to have a playoff feel to it and Lamar Jackson has a very bad habit of choking in the big games. Not buying the revenge angle or the Jackson/Henry > Allen/Cook angle, or the angle that the Ravens top to bottom are more talented. The winner dictates who is the best team nothing else. At the end of the game we'll know. All the pregame talk I'm hearing is nauseating. Where's the good vibes the home opener usually brings?

It's getting a little concerning with the injuries. I just hope we're able field a decent defense when we go up against the Ravens. Really want to win that one.

Pegula was rich before he bought the Bills. He's still rich. What's all the outrage about? I know public money was used and the governor pushed hard to use public funds as well. If anything, the outrage should be directed there, not at Pegula. Of course Pegula was going to try and get as much public funding as possible. That's what businesses do. However, the government played a major role in this and they are the ones who ultimately made the decisions. It wouldn't surprise me if it was government influence that ran this story to place blame on someone who didn't actually make the decision to spend so much public money. Hint: It wasn't Terry Pegula.

Do the Bills Even Have a Hated Division Rival?
Rockinon replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall
Of course they have a hated division rival. Three of them in fact. I hate them all. The rivalry doesn't end just because the Bills are good now. It continues until the Bills beat the Dolphins like they beat us in the 70's. They beat the Patriots like they did to us during the Brady years. And as far as the Jets go, the rivalry continues just for them being such complete douches through the years. -
Perspective on the Bills from Eagles fan site.
Rockinon replied to BigAl2526's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the defense is going to be much improved this year. That is going to give Josh and company more opportunities. All the defense has to do is get the ball back one more time and that can change the outcome of a game. -
Buffalo Bills 2025 Regular Season Schedule
Rockinon replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Buffalo's infusion of talent on the Dline could be exactly what negates Baltimore's greatest strength. Look at how Pittsburgh has been beating them. With defense. It sure hasn't been with offense. -
Why Landon Jackson is the next MONSTER in the NFL
Rockinon replied to MJS's topic in The Stadium Wall
At the beginning of last year, I think they thought the pass rush would be better than it was and that the back end would be better too. It wasn't. That is why the scheme was adjusted. Some of those adjustments worked and now they are going to implement some more changes. The game is evolving and the Bills must also or get left behind. -
Why Landon Jackson is the next MONSTER in the NFL
Rockinon replied to MJS's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the Bills are looking at some changes schematically and it began last year. It started with selecting Soloman in the draft, a much smaller quicker pass rusher than what they typically go for. Then there is the fact that the Bills began playing more man coverage throughout the year. And now drafting a CB with off the charts speed that can play man. Also, drafting another 3 tech DT when everyone thought it would be a 1 tech. The Bills still like their scheme, but it seems they are gradually mixing things up and we are going to see more of that this year. There is a lot of conversation about how other defenses have adapted to stop a Josh Allen led offense. With the way Buffalo's defense performed last year, perhaps it has become clear that offenses have found ways to combat a Bill's defense. I'm just speculating, but I have a hunch the new additions aren't just replacements for a specific defensive scheme. It seems to be about scheme diversity. These additions allow the Bills to mix up not only types of coverage but also defensive line rotations with guys that have different skill-sets. The potential is there for the Dline to wreak some havoc by mixing up the scheme and the type of player on that line. Not sure how they intend to do it. It does look like they can be more flexible now though. To me Landon Jackson is just another piece that allows for a diverse rotation. -
Elijah Moore Visiting the Bills today (Update: Signed!)
Rockinon replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
That would be the politically correct thing to do. Me personally, I like that he spoke his opinion without fear. It was an honest take on his part and I prefer that to holding back what's really on his mind. -
Defensive line after Camp, then after suspended players return?
Rockinon replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
There is a lot of talk that he may actually play along side of Oliver. -
The deeper the throw, the less likely it is going to be caught. It's a lower percentage throw and that's true of all QBs, even Josh. Still, it is nice having a burner to keep defenses honest. I personally think the Bills are embracing the run game. This can also keep a defense honest because those successful runs help to open up the pass game. And I think folks may be overstating the need for a deep threat burner. We have TEs and RBs that can catch the ball too. I know the Bills struggled some last season but Brady didn't take long to find other ways to win. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can come up with after having a full season behind him. And MVP Josh seems to be embracing his leadership in the offense as well. Add in a defense that gets the ball back more often, we might just see the offense take another step forward instead of backwards. I know. It's not the theme on this board. Wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong. Don't think I am though....

Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
Rockinon replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Amari came and started immediately last year without the benefit of a training camp with Josh. I'm wondering if bringing him back is on Beane's radar. Could be. It's really odd to me that no one has taken a flyer on him thus far. He is older but he still seems to be in good shape and it was pretty obvious that he helped the offense out even though the production wasn't there. I wonder.
