  1. There goes another team in need of a safety Chris Brown ‏@cbreezy2411 15m RB market is getting flooded, Bills can pick up veteran back if desired. Or draft young prospect.
  2. I picked Fred, but I am very surprised there is no love for Kyle Williams.
  3. Whaley also believes it's a possibility. LINKY
  4. Who is the free agent that the Bills are targeting? I think number one is Jarius Byrd. I also think the Bills specifically did not franchise him because they wanted to sign him without any worries of a hold out or any other such nonsense. People keep ignoring Byrds and Whaley's comments. He is still very much in play.
  5. You all are going to be shocked as hell when Byrd signs a contract with the Bills.
  6. LOL. Yep, nobody is going to take that story and run with it. Not enough conspiracy.
  7. My prediction...... 1. Bills will find some value in free agency. Maybe one or two guys for depth. Can't even begin to guess what position. 2. Tackle or LB in 1st RD 3. Tackle or LB in second round. 4. Here is where the Bills start looking for a TE but probably go BPA at WR. Just don't see the Bills going TE in the 1st 2 rounds....ever. 5. Byrd signs a long term contract with the Bills. While everyone loves speculating about Byrd's unhappiness, not once have I seen him bash the Bills and his ties to this team I think are strong. Call me overoptimistic, but I think Byrd and the FO find a place where they both can get it done.
  8. 6'4" and only 204 is like a tall tooth pick. I'm 6'0" and 225 and pretty thin. Injury waiting to happen with this kid. Gotta have some body mass to absurb NFL hits. We have DBs heavier that would crush him.
  9. That's easy. The season was all ready shot and they didn't want to spring their secret weapon until next year.
  10. In all seriousness though, this is a concern. Sooner or later they will have to do something about it. Not sure it's time for a new stadium just yet. I think with the renovations that have been done so far, the Bills will remain where they are for a while,
  11. Says the Jets fan who shares his stadium with another team.
  12. EJ wouldn't have to do much if the defense holds them to 8pts!
  13. I was thinking the same. Pettine will need more than 2 yrs to turn that team around....not sure he will get it done in time before Cleveland decides to rinse and repeat with a new coach. What was he thinking?
  14. The Bills defense is ultra talented. The pass rush is feared and people who keep blathering on about not stopping the run don't realize that when the defense did try to stop the run this past year, they did. The big issue was getting gashed for big gains when they were not expecting it. That's coaching, not talent. Pepper recognizes that this team is loaded and wants to be a part of it.
  15. Or O'neal may just get an expanded role.
  16. Nice post and very true.
  17. I don't think EJ needs a guru type coach. He has a lot of talent and I don't want him ruined by a coach that makes him think too much. What I saw from EJ was more a matter of being indecisive and jumpy like a lot of rookies. I think he just needs a coach that can help him make decisions more quickly and help him get through his progressions fast. From what I saw of the offense, the talent is there and the scheme is sound. I just think execution was not there do to inexperience.
  18. Maybe the Browns will offer him an interview.
  19. Marone for HC. Pettine for DC. That's my vote.
  20. If nobody else wants it, what makes you think he wants it? Pettine may want to finish what he started in Buffalo and then go to a team that actually knows how to find talent. The Browns have been in the cellar a long time and have yet to show they know how to build a team. Pettine would be crazy to take this job. I think he knows that his best move would be a part of a Bills organization that goes to the next level and then make his move. I don't think he wants a HC job unless he thinks he has a chance to succeed. He needs to weigh his options and decide what his best move is. Personally, I think the Browns ain't it.
  21. Your trying to pigeon hole EJ into a sub par category. I think that is shame. He may light it up next year. You also don't seem to remember how the Patriots defeated us just a couple of weeks ago(with the run and with special teams). The running game is still relevant though I agree the pass is becoming much more important across the league. There is much more to football than just capitalizing on the passing game, though. We have fallen short this year and a big reason for it is the passing game(I will give you that). Even still, looking for the knock out punch of a top QB isn't the only way to get to the post season. Our team has a run game which will complement the passing game and a defense that can stop the pass. Just a moderate improvement in our passing game and an improvement in some other key areas like special teams or stopping the run can push our team over the top. If there is a team that doesn't need a Payton Manning, it's this one. After some time to cool down a bit after missing out on a playoff spot, then and perhaps especially, after losing to the Patriots(that game ticked me off because Brady's passing had little to do with the loss), I am able to look at the whole picture a bit more clearly. I see a Bills team that is on the rise. There are some deficiencies and passing is one of them, but we don't need a 5000yd passing year to get there. We can do it with mere competent QB play. I think EJ is more than capable of getting there. Of course, it remains to be seen how much more capable he will be.
  22. What is Dareus doing to be held out?
