  1. You are quoting yourself now
  2. I'd like to add a few thoughts as well. After watching the defense against Drew Brees I came away thinking that this game would be entirely different if the offense could just sustain drives. All season, the Bills have managed to somehow put 20+ points on the board until this game. Sustaining long drives has happened, but it seems we are limited to one good one per game and then nothing(perhaps a short field here or there). Fortunately the defense has given the offense plenty of chances. Even in the Saints game, the defense came up with some big stops and Brees, you could tell, was very uncomfortable. The pass rush is really good but with the offense punting all the time, Brees had way too many chances. I really think our offense needs to find some answers and quick. What eludes me is just what needs to be done. Is it play calling? Weak offensive line?(Lewis has been getting mauled for three weeks strait). Is the problem just inexperience at QB? Or is it our key players, Fred, CJ and Stevie limping around the field? I'm not so sure everything can be attributed injuries and on the other side of the coin, I can't believe the play calling is the main problem. Perhaps a combination of things. For once however, I have absolutely no complaints about effort. Maybe some boneheaded mistakes from time to time but I really thought the team as a whole put forth one heck of an effort. I do love this team. It's hard to see such great effort only to see a loss like this. But at the halfway point and after looking at the issues I have outlined, I can't help thinking that things are looking up. All of this stuff is correctable. After the game I got a kick out of hearing Boomer saying that the Chiefs are in for a big surprise in Buffalo next week. I sure hope he's right. Go Bills!!
  3. Our QBs are getting hit way too much. This needs to be addressed. OL scrappy? I don't know about that.
  4. This team doesn't need an OC. It needs a quality QB and a line to protect him. Lewis was getting mauled the whole game. It would be nice to see more holes open up for the run too. This OL sucks. In fact the QB has been getting mauled the whole season.
  5. We have a practice squad QB with 3 starts. Stevie is his main target. Thad hasn't had time with the starters to really gel. He's thrown some good balls to Stevie and Chandler. Struggling to get in sync with other receivers. Keeps overthrowing his targets. Of course there has to be a better plan for giving him some time to throw. The guy was getting mauled. Back to back helmet to helmet penalties then a couple of plays later he gets knocked down and while on the ground gets kicked in the helmet. Anyway, Stevie is who Thad has been getting in rhythm with. He's too important to this QB to be out. Should be getting more reps with his other receivers.
  6. Bills better have an answer for the pass rush next week.
  7. Got to protect the QB better.
  8. LOL....he didn't have any challenges left.
  9. Offensive line needs to step up. Lewis is getting killed in there.
  10. Defense is bringing it, man!!
  11. Judging by the face on your avatar.....coulda fooled me.
  12. I kept scrolling around trying to find this thread. Why'd you have to hide in plain sight by pinning it . Anyway, Go Bills!!!!! BTW, Graham is officially active and CJ is officially not active.
  13. Every player in every sport has doubts. How they are able to deal with it, overcome it, is what matters. The Bills to this point have played tough in every game. What they haven't done is win every game. You think there is no doubt? As an athlete you go to work at your craft every day trying to get better. When you feel you have done everything that you possibly could have, you are in trouble. There is always room for improvement. I guess the point is, it's a lot easier to get better when your confidence is high. So in summary, a win this week will increase their confidence. At one end of the scale is confidence and at the other end is doubt. Feel me now?
  14. I win against NO will push this team over the top. Any doubt remaining will be erased. The Miami game was good for righting the ship, but winning this one would be the true turning point for this team. They won't go into any game thinking they can't beat anyone.
  15. If Miami hands the Patriots a loss, NE loses a couple more before the Bills play them at the end of the season, the Bills could be playing NE for the division crown.
  16. You sound as if you are surprised. What do you expect Bills fans to do? Crawl under a rock?
  17. This is what I have been thinking. A win on the road against this team places the Bills in elite territory. No one is giving them much of a chance, and forgetting that on any given Sunday some team does the unexpected and wins one they aren't supposed to. And for what it's worth, I really don't think NO has had a very strong schedule to this point. The Bills could very well come up with the upset of the week here. The team is young but throughout the season, they have been gaining valuable experience. We could see the team turn into a solid group at any time. Once they get into a groove, look out. This particular game could be interesting with the Saints giving up more than 5yds per carry on the ground. They have been giving up a lot of ground when teams run right up the middle. Bringing up a big back like Wingo from the PS could be a good thing. Look for the defense to attack Brees. With Mario getting all of the attention, the big guys will need to collapse the pocket or open up holes for Kiko and speed rushers outside. NO has not faced a pass rush like this all year and the Bills have the tools to make them uncomfortable. As for the offense, I have been pretty impressed so far. Both star backs injured and still producing at a high level is amazing. A third game for Thad to get in sych with the receivers is good too. No matter what the experts think, this Bills team will compete in this game. They might just surprise everyone.
  18. Woohoo!!! Lets keep the streak alive!!!
  19. And if they win against the Saints and Chiefs? That happens, the Bills never look back. Think about it. Winning against the 5-1 Saints on the road, and then the undefeated Chiefs at home would mean that Buffalo's team finally found some consistency. It would mean that the issues they have been dealing with have been overcome. They have been in every single game this year. It should not come as a surprise if this young team finally figures some things out and starts playing well in all phases of the game. I would not be surprised if this is exactly what they are banking on. I'm just imagining Fred Jackson telling the team to go down to New Orleans and fight like rabid dogs. How can you not be inspired by this guy? There is a long way to go, but the way to approach this thing from a player's point of view, is focus on the next opponent and find a way to beat them. They don't have any other options than that. Stay focused and get ready for the next one and it's simply done one win at a time. It will be interesting to see if Buffalo can hang with New Orleans. If they do somehow find the right formula, they will be doubly determined to take out KC the following week, but from their perspective, they just can't look at that yet. The Saints are up next. When you think of it looking through a player's eyes, it just seems to be so much easier to Billieve. I have seen improvement from this team in a lot of areas. It seems that every game however has an area that they have needed to address. I'd like to see a game where everything falls into place for them and I can't help thinking that the players are diligently improving their craft every time they step onto the field.
  20. I'll be convinced if he wins against N.O. and KC
  21. Only three teams in the NFL are worse at running the ball than the one-dimensional Miami Dolphins. And Miami's offense is second to last when it comes to sacks allowed per pass attempt (a takedown every 7.58 attempts). The Bills defense is now ranked 3rd in the league in sacks with 21. Game over.
  22. Time of Possession Miami 29th 26:59, Buffalo 28th 27:03
