If the tempo is as fast as advertised, this group could come out of the gate and surprise teams.

I don't think a 1st round pick alone is going to be enough for the Bill's to bite. Any team that is interested would have to pay pretty dearly to get Byrd. His value is for multiple picks.....not just a single 1st rounder. On top of that, the team who gets him will have to pay big money to get him. I don't see a team giving up multiple picks plus forking over a big time contract. I'm sure Byrd will either work out a deal with Buffalo or sign his franchise tag.

I scratched my head at that too. There are a bunch of under the radar guys like that on this team. Question is who else is going to break out this year? Bradham? Graham? As much as Spiller was held back last year, he could hit 2000 all purpose yards. Will Mario bust out? How about Kyle Williams healthy for a whole season or Fred Jackson for that matter. Mark Anderson? There is talent on this team and even depth in a lot of key areas. Really looking forward to this season.

I've read nearly every post in this thread and I will say that I have been eagerly waiting to hear some news on Byrd's contract. I hope he gets signed because I believe he is talented and should get top 5 money. Highest paid, no. One thing I have noticed though is how cynical the posts have gotten. People who start talking about holding out and trying to equate that to the individual as a person or how they will perform down the road, just sounds like another Bill's fan turned wonky. I know being a fan of the Bill's has it's down side sometimes but sheesh. I want Byrd on the team because he has been a good soldier and because he has performed at a high level. I think he should be paid according to his performance and because he is still young enough to contribute at a high level. Byrd is holding out for the best deal he can get because this is the best opportunity he is ever likely going to get. However things play out, his ethics or his speculated performance down the road should not be in question. Don't lose site of what it means to be a fan of the Bills by wallowing in your cynicism and misery. Misery that should be left where it belongs...in the past. I like your attitude, SJBF.. You know how to lighten up.

I think CJ is not really underrated. Fred anyone? The guy is always the underdog and at some point this year, the Bills will need to depend on him. I hope the old dog tears it up.

Do you? You don't have a very high opinion of people in general. Maybe you should consider moving. Where I come from there is a lot more pride in following the rules than in winning at all costs. A little early for that prediction. Graham is making some noise so far too. There is so much more talent at the position than last year though it will be interesting. Don't forget CJ and Fred have done some good stuff catching the ball too. Add in TEs and and a running attack, this offense could really be smokin'....

Considering the way they cleaned house at the WR position and brought in all of this young talent, I really think that it ain't going to be all about Stevie this year. BTW, that's how it should be.

Marone is rotating them each practice until one shows they are clearly the better QB. He did not give a timeline, but I would think that he wants to chose a clear #1 and #2 ASAP. For now it will be a rotation on who gets first reps.

I think with Glenn on the left and Wood in the center, they could put just about anybody in at left guard and be all right. The right side of the line though? Going to be interesting to see the percentage of pass vs run plays this year. I really don't see more run than pass because of how the league has transitioned to more passing. Kind of a shame when we have so much talent at RB. My guess is that CJ and Fred will still get plenty of touches because they can catch the ball too. Glenn does well at just about everything. His biggest weakness will be blocking speed rushers around the edge.
