  1. Democrat & Chronicle?
  2. OK, thanks. I read the 1st page then posted....lol.
  3. I posted this in the "Marone fosters accountability" thread but maybe this one is more appropriate. There is a cool workout competition going on. Linky
  4. Here is a link on this subject. There is competition in the workouts. Check it out. Linky
  5. I'm sorry but you guys are just making this stuff up. He did not have a tear like what most people seem to be thinking here. He has the same injury he had 2 years ago. Bones spurs. When he had surgery to remove the bone spurs the 1st time, the surgery was very successful. Last thing most of us heard was that he was going to have surgery for the same thing, only is other foot. The thing is, bone spurs are very painful when you are using your 300lb frame to crash into other 300lb bodies. How bad does it damage the bottom of your feet? Every case is different. My guess, in Kyle's case is that it's not so serious that he can't come back healthy by training camp. Even in a worse case scenario, it's still not a career ending injury. What the hell is all of this "his career is over" talk? Kyle will be back. Get real, people. When people don't know the full details about something, why do they feel the need to blow smoke up everyone's arses with ridiculous rumors?
  6. Nix is making the decisions. That doesn't mean he is ignoring the input from the staff around him. I'm sure that the decisions he makes are heavily influenced by the new coaches. When you are in charge that is exactly what you should be doing.....listening to your team members and then making a decision that everyone is comfortable with.
  7. I think when the front office left the cupboard bare by leaving pretty much only Stevie as a starter, there were opportunities to earn a roster spot for these guys. Kind of funny how everyone was panicking when we didn't resign anyone. If you are a college prospect, you want to go where you are going to have opportunities. This team definitely did. Give the FO some credit for what is happening here. I am blown away because everything about this draft looks like there was a great deal of planning involved. The Bills look like a team that hit the nail right on the head this time around.
  8. There is real competition at the WR position. What that means is that every WR on the roster should be pushing hard to make the final cut. All of them know what is at stake, so all of them will need to compete. You can try and guess who should be the most nervous, but in the end I think they all know that they are going to have to put in the work and who ever ends up on top.........well, they end up on top. Don't think you can really read much more into it.
  9. This FS and the ILB both have made a lot of plays in the backfield. This is what Pettine does. He shifts people so that who you think is going to cover a guy isn't, and who you think is coming on a blitz isn't. It's an attack that disguises what the defense is up to. All of the defensive moves so far are all about finding a bunch of guys that can blitz from their position and also be fast enough to cover when someone else is blitzing. All of the talk about picking these guys because they have some off field issues is way off the mark. Yes, they want aggressive hitters out there, but they are not intentionally looking for psychos with off field issues. Seriously, you guys are cracking me up with this stuff.
  10. This pick seems like it's about EJ Manuel being the QB. EJ is very good at the deep ball. Now we have some burners who can spread a defense thin. If the underneath stuff ain't there, go over 'em. When those don't work, you know we can pound the rock. I also see some misdirection stuff like a reverse with these speedsters.
  11. What did you have for lunch?
  12. This article here says he is impressing early. LINKY
  13. This^^^^ I keep thinking the Bills want to trade down, gain 2 extra picks. Then they can trade back up just ahead of the Jets in 2nd round and get their QB.
  14. I think the Jets actually are interested. Having Nassib would also give them someone who is knowledgeable of Marrone/Hackett offense. The funny thing is it is not the Bills who are spooked, it's the Jets that are spooked by the Bills.
  15. When the smoke clears, we find out the Bill's never really wanted to trade down at all. That's just to prevent the Jets from using their picks to jump ahead of Buffalo. They take the QB they want, but it ain't Manuel........it's Barkley.
  16. Placate me!!! Please, placate me.
  17. Who needs perspective anyway. The problem with perspective is that there is always another one.
  18. Maybe this will light a fire under Shep's arse.
  19. I'd love to see Kyle Williams and Marcel Dareus open a big hole for Dansby to slip in and get a sack right up the middle of the opposing offense.
  20. Oh, he'll take a pay cut just so he can play against Miami twice a year. I like it. He can rush the passer from ILB too. Dansby racked up 25.5 sacks and 10 interceptions between 2004-2010 when he was with the Arizona Cardinals. He's older now but he still has some gas in the tank.
  21. I kind of think there is a degree of optimism and a degree of pessimism in each of us. On the subject of the Buffalo Bills, I tend to be more of an optimist simply because I have been a fan for so long that I just can't see wasting my energy by being pessimistic. I want to feel good about them. As a young man, and an athlete, I always had a strong sense that simply believing in yourself and having people around you who also believe, can move mountains. It's an attitude for me to be more positive and more of an optimist. My wife and I sometimes disagree because she doesn't like to get her hopes up only to be disappointed in the end. She was never much of a sports fan. All of us have different ways of looking at things. My wife the pessimist, myself the optimist, we don't always agree but we have learned that we can at least accept each other for who we are. I don't always agree with all of you pessimists, especially the ones who like to do so in the name of so called realism. In my experience the things that are most real are the ones that you work hard at to make it so. It's the things you believe in first and then make it happen that count. When you put in the effort and something great happens, now that is real. If you put in the effort and something great didn't happen, at least you tried. But if you are to busy arguing to try, you are getting in the way. I guess as a fan, I see my job as supporting my team. I believe they feed of of us. What we give them to eat matters.
  22. Every player that is signed by the Jets will be a bust.
  23. I agree with the OP. It's because the QB class is so weak that the Bills will pull the trigger at #8. If they wait, the ones they like will all ready be gone by round 2. If any here think the Jets are not jockeying for a QB now that they have 2 1st rounders, you're nuts. They need a QB worse than us and may even try to trade up 1 or 2 spots ahead of Buffalo to get him. OK, maybe they won't trade up, but they do now pose a problem with the extra picks.
