  1. Look what happened after Buffalo lost to the Jets. They must of been real pissed off.
  2. I am going to go out on a limb here. IMO the Browns have not been able to score against a good defense. They could only manage 10pts against Miami and lost the game. They could only manage 6pts against the Ravens and lost. They put up 31pts against the Vikes but their defense this year is awful so far. The win against the Bengals was big for them but they only managed 17pts. The Bills should go down there and make a statement. I think our defense is too much for them and our offense continues to improve. This should not even be close. We win by 2 TDs.....maybe 3.
  3. Man, this place is going to go nuts if the Bills go on a 4 game win streak defeating the Ravens, Browns, Bengals and Fish.
  4. Browns playing best football in AFC North......Wait What? Linky
  5. Not to shabby of a prediction. I wasn't too far off.
  6. Williams will go back to playing safety And no.....Byrd and Williams do not play the same safety position. One is a strong safety and one is a free safety.
  7. That fake EJ did, pretending to hand off and then turned around to throw to Chandler in the endzone was a thing of beauty. Too bad Chandler tripped over his own feet or that would have been a TD.
  8. He's not the only Williams that did well today.
  9. Good eye. I think also EJ was focusing too much on the hot read when there were some throws underneath the coverage. I also kind of think it is odd that screens have not been used more. Mostly though I am convinced that what we are seeing is simply the growing pains of a rookie QB. I also think EJ after reviewing film will figure it out. Hopefully by tomorrow.
  10. I just don't think its as simple as not giving him easy throws. The way the Jets D was working is that the hot read was often downfield along the sidelines. EJ was doing what he has learned so far. There were opportunities in the middle of the field. Something a veteran would pick up on and something EJ will pick up after studying some film. I'm not at all surprised by his struggles this early. What did you expect? For him to just light things up right out of the gate? He still throws a nice ball. The guys around him also have some things to work on. Things rarely just fall into place perfectly. This is pretty much what I expected. Hopefully, everyone starts to get it. I think Hackett too, is smart enough to adjust as well. It's early. Who knows, they might start clicking tomorrow against the Ravens. Not holding my breath but I wouldn't be overly surprised. The talent is there.
  11. I thought there was somewhere in the neighborhood of 20M.
  12. I thought this PFT article was pretty interesting.....especially given how much money the Bills will carry over to next year. The Bills are going to have money to spend and a lot of rookies that didn't get big contracts do to the rookie wage scale, will be seeking a payday in free agency. I sure many teams will tag players though. Any thoughts?
  13. Take that mask off...I wanna see if there's a Jets fan under there.
  14. Last time we played the Ravens, Kyle Williams was in the backfield all day. I think our D could pose some problems for them. What I'd like to see more than anything though is some execution on the part of the offense. Sustain some drives and get into the endzone. We do that and this game is suddenly winnable.
  15. I am actually predicting a step forward by the Bills offense. In my opinion the offense's execution has been pretty subpar through 3 games. I think the rookie QB figures some things out and progresses against a Ravens defense that I think is over rated. Either CJ or Fred will break a long one, Scott Chandler gets 3 big gainers, and the receivers get in a groove. The ball is spread around and the offense suddenly doesn't look so predictable. For the first time this year we see some sustained drives that put the pressure on Baltimore. Plus, the 12th man plays a part in this one. Bills 31 Ravens 24 Hey it could happen!
  16. Here is another reason the middle of the field is not being targeted much. I think there are a lot of facets to this team that are a work in progress. http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bills-nfl/bills-notebook-chandler-manuel-forming-a-connection-20130926?two-bills-drive
  17. I live about an hour away from where that picture was taken, north up Rt 11.
  18. Bingo! Once was enough for me too.
  19. I don't see a good team here. Bills win easily.
  20. I don't know. I kind of think this high speed offense the Bills are using is designed to wear defenses down. Just imagine an air sucking, fast pace for three quarters and then in comes a fullback and a power run game that just utterly demoralizes a defense. I remember Pittsburgh just pounding the rock with the Bus not so long ago with great deal of success. It's not a completely dead trade. New England has been running a very fast offense too. We all know that their attack is very much Tom Brady slinging the ball but few people put much stock in their running attack, which is a big mistake. They can run the ball and I think it's success has a lot to do with the fast pace they run. The fullback? I think he can still be useful.
  21. I have seen Hackett's offense struggle but it has been for the most part just poor execution. The Bills are leading the entire league in how fast they are moving by leaving the most time still on the clock when the ball is snapped. It takes precision, getting a handle on penalties and an ability to execute consistently. I'm not ready to throw in the towel on Hackett just yet. I think the guys on the field are able to handle this offense but it will just take some time. We have seen a couple of good drives. The game winning drive against the Panthers comes to mind. There is a reason why Marone was pushing to get as many plays in as possible during training camp. I think we need to let this thing play out. Those guys might start clicking and when that happens, one hell of a lot of points will show up on the scoreboard.
  22. I don't think it's going to be close. I do think the Bills will pull ahead in this one and the Jets will be chasing to catch up.
  23. Good. Stand them back up so we can knock 'em down again
  24. I have been unhappy since the rule change. Kickoffs used to be one of the single most exciting plays of the game. Buffalo has had some great return men and still do. Moving the ball up so every kicker in the league can force a touchback is just plain horrible for this game.
