  1. Pretty much how I feel about Jalen Hurts. Elite talent, good passer
  2. Well yeah, he did great. Prater is also 41 and at the end of his career as it is. No need to vilify the kicker you do have I’m not saying you need to keep Bass, but making a decision based on one game, is pretty silly
  3. Harbaugh always seems to get a pass, but dude has had top defenses and offenses and two franchise QBs back to back. He’s had two MVP campaigns from Lamar and now Derek Henry. He’s has coached in 1 AFC title game since 2012 and has 13-11 record in the playoff with all of that. He’s also apparently one of the most conservative coaches in the league. As soon as they lined up to punt instead of asking their 2x MVP to get 3 yards, I knew they’d lost
  4. Started reaching to some old contacts to get a feel of what else is happening in my industry. It’s becoming more and more clear my current role isn’t going to work and frankly, I need a paycheck. I’m considering going back to school and started researching some programs for mental health counseling. That was my original goal when I started college and I talked myself out of it. If I do go back to school, I told my wife I’d have the plan set by January 1st. Whether that’s starting something right then, or planning for the fall Thanks for all the perspective in this thread. Helped me collect my thoughts a bit
  5. Dak gets a lot of flack in the media, but he is a good QB. He shouldn’t be the highest paid in the league, but he’s a top QB year in and year out
  6. Not even a mention of Keon Coleman either. I figured he’d be the star of the show
  7. Hurts is a good QB. You don't go to two SBs by sucking. Yeah, the Eagles have a fantastic roster, but Hurts fits that offense well and makes a ton of plays. I don't think he is an elite passer by any means, but he's an elite all-around talent.
  8. I thought Dak was great all game. That last throw was the right read, just missed it
  9. If that happens, I will finally join the choir of calling for McDermott to be fired
  10. Kraft does like paying for small packages to be played with
  11. I'm not saying he should have won more games, that team was awful last year. But I just didnt see the eye popping plays that everyone is acting like he made all year. The one "highlight" they constantly show is him keeping a play alive against the Titans (who had the number one overall pick this year) and throwing a TD. Like yeah, great play but do I think he going to be as good as Daniels, Nix or Williams or Penix? No, I don't. I actually think McCarthy is going to be the best of them all purely because of who his coach is
  12. No they won’t. The Jets did the same thing they did 4 years ago with Salah and are expecting the same result. Get the hot D coach, play good defense and run the ball and win close games. The problem is, that style of winning football games isn’t sustainable. Most offenses are too good, and the Jets won’t be able to keep up. I expect a lot of good defensive performances and losing 17-6. Maybe Aaron Glenn will be smart enough not gloat about keeping Josh Allen under 200 yards while Justin Fields throws for 85 but did some good things
  13. It wouldn’t shock me if they won their division. It’s the decent Texans team and a bunch of bums in that division. A solid season from Cam Ward and a few upset wins, and that a 9-10 win team The Bucs are very good top to bottom. If baker goes on a run in January, they could make it. Flacco won a SB that way
  14. I’m a project manager now, in the past I’ve worked as an engineer doing site visits and energy analysis. I also managed an incentives team. I had 4 people that reported to me, ( 3 in India) and applied to EE programs across the country. My masters is in Sustainability from RIT and my undergrad is Environmental Policy and psychology (duel major)
  15. I have been working in the energy industry (specifically energy efficiency) for over ten years and have reached a point where I genuinely don’t like it. I stated in lighting, which I was good at, I enjoyed the people I worked with etc. then Covid hit and people moved on and eventually I did too. I took a semi management type position with a tech startup that was good for a while but they made it clear they were going to force everyone to relocate to Denver so I took my current job. I was hired to take on a very specific contract and the work was exactly what I was comfortable doing and I enjoyed it. My second child was born when I started this job and I was making the best money of my career. About a year later (a year ago) I was told rather abruptly that my company didn’t do some paperwork properly (before I was even hired) and I was now no longer eligible to work on the contract (govt contract) so once that ended I was doing some random work on projects, but the work we were doing wasn’t really in my skill set, we bid on and won a few contracts that I was working on but they haven’t worked out like the company hoped (not enough work essentially). A few weeks ago my boss called me and told me that he’s just not sure there’s going to be enough work in my current role and to “take care of myself”. He suggested talking to HR and seeing if there was a different role at the company I might be suited for. I looked and nothing seems like a fit. I’m also getting the vibe, that something is off. I worried they are are going to let me go, maybe not in the next few weeks, but by year end. Essentially, I am tired of feeling like a square peg in a round hole and wondering if I would be better off in a new field. Has anyone ever done a late 30s career change? How did it work out? I applied to a bunch of jobs in the last few days to protect myself, but if anyone is hiring…
  16. Or, they had him in camp for a few weeks and don’t need to see him kick again
  17. Josh Gordon was such an immense talent. He had HOF talent. Goodell went too far with him IMO
  18. Maye won one game that he started and finished. I get that team wasn’t good and coaching was worse, but I didn’t see a dude elevate his team like some of the elite guys
  19. Kind of random, but I was watching some cooking show the other day and at the end of the episode they brought in “NFL Legend” Robert Royal 😂 Going backwards now
  20. Yup. He will be better than Mayo was for sure. Vrabel is a good coach, but I don’t think he’s some genius that’s gonna revolutionize the league. In Tennessee, he handed the ball to Derek Henry 400 times a year
  21. Put me in the group that expects the Pats* to be a middling team for 3 more years
  22. No, it’s time for our pitchforks!
  23. I’m a big Jordan Love fan. He is a lot like Allen was a few years ago. Very boom/big play potential but sometimes too careless with the ball. If he can learn to take care of the football, he will be an MVP candidate
  24. That’s what so weird about this. If you weren’t gonna get a deal done, make the trade in March, so you can have the draft picks this year
