  1. Did somebody say they’re looking for someone to motivate the offensive line?!!!!!
  2. Yeah, I ‘m rooting for the Bengals partly because I don’t know anyone that’s a fan of theirs and partly because they haven’t won any. I also can’t root for an LA team for various reasons.
  3. Yeah, he’s a good coach but not so much to worry about him taking over the Dolphins. How many Super Bowls did he win? Zero. How many national titles as a college coach? Zero. I’ve been kind of surprised he lasted at Michigan since, until this season, he never beat Ohio St. He also seems to get antsy after 3 or 4 years. He makes the College Football Playoffs for the first time and then decides it’s time to go back to the NFL?
  4. On Mars.
  5. I thought the league is supposed to alternate sites when playing out of division teams? Next season will be the 5th consecutive time in the regular season that we play the Chiefs in KC. ????
  6. Remember when the QBs called their own plays? It’s been a while.
  7. Regarding #2, watch the Niners closely on Sunday.
  8. Exact moment would be seeing grumpy-faced Belechick after the 47-17 playoff thumping, walking out to the center of the field to meet McDermott.
  9. After Daboll ignored him for most of the season?
  10. I can only go by what I see on the broadcast. Several times I’ve seen shots of a FG kicker warming up into the net, even late in a game. There was one game I recall where a team had to call a timeout because “they couldn’t find the kicker”. What do they do, leave him by himself and then whistle for him to come? I don’t know if a similar scenario takes place before a kickoff. One would think the kicker would be paying attention to what’s going on and maybe stand close to his coach, but what do I know. Things can likely get pretty chaotic on the sidelines in a big game like this, but that’s why they pay the head coach the big bucks. I would also rather have a coach be micromanaging than assuming everybody knew what they were supposed to do.
  11. When I was growing up, WBEN had some good coverage. Even back then, though, to get good sports talk I’d pull in Pete Franklin on WWWE (known as 3WE)
  12. Can’t lose games to teams like the Jags. When I was growing up, WBEN had some good coverage. Even back then, though, to get good sports talk I’d pull in Pete Franklin on WWWE (known as 3WE)
  13. You haven’t been paying attention. It’s happened too many times to not be a jinx.
  14. Conversely, if you watch a Niners game, they’ve got motion and misdirection going on all over the place. Shanahan likes to confuse the he!! out of opposing defenses. He even seems a little over the top. They ran this one play where they had Jimmy G in the shotgun and their fullback Juszczyk went in motion from left to right. He turned around coming back to the left, then went behind the center and took the snap.
  15. So, all 3 head coaches hired so far are first-timers. Two were Bills” OCs.
  16. Just saw this on Pro Football Talk: Getty Images The 2021 NFL regular season has come to an end and the 2022 postseason is underway. Four teams remain in the AFC and NFC Championship games this weekend. Teams left in the NFL playoffs include: Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers. 17. Yeah, that makes these tough losses even worse as it’ll be 8 months until they take the field in a regular season game again.
  18. No way! Then Josh will have a significant injury
  19. I was recently thinking that I didn’t recall ever watching a Pats game and thinking “why did Belichick do that?“
  20. It’s not the pass rush, it’s the coverage. To get to the Super Bowl right now, it’s getting past Mahomes throwing to T.Hill and Kelce. As when Brady was on the Pats, you’re not likely to get to Mahomes and if you blitz, he’ll tear the defense to shreds. You have to do more to disrupt the passes to Hill & Kelce and letting them run free while 4 rushers don’t get there was dumb and not going to work. We’ll see what happens on Sunday but Cincinnati with Burrows and those receivers are tough to stop also. Their RB in Dixon is better than what we have and I’d argue that their TE Uzomah is close enough to Knox. The Bills have also shown they can’t beat Tennessee either, Moreno due to being unable to stop Henry. As others have said, fortunately Cinn beat Tennessee which meant we didn’t have to face either of them, but would’ve faced the Bengals if we beat KC. The stars were aligned for us and they blew it! As the late Denny Green famously said “They are who we thought they were and we let’em off the hook!” (Slams fist on lectern) Now, if Denver were to acquire Rodgers or Brady, that could be a 4th tough team we’d have to get by.
  21. Can’t disagree with it’s consideration. Many people believe “13 seconds” cost the team a championship, but even if they won that game, they’d still have to win 2 more. Wide Right had championship at our fingertips until the ghost of Tim Mara pushed that kick wide of its target.
  22. Yeah, I remember reading something about the QBs success throwing at him. Sure he had all of those interceptions but maybe the opportunities had something to do with it.
  23. Frazier is getting a 2nd interview with the Giants on Friday. You’d think the Giants would be aware of what happened in this game, even if they didn’t watch it. I’d expect that they’d ask him about it to evaluate his decision making. Unless he says it was McD’s decision, I don’t know how he explains it in a positive way. It would be surprising to me if he gets any of the head coaching jobs.
