  1. If they could get him cheap, it wouldn't hurt to see if he can rebound after reuniting with Roman. Kaep has lots of faults though. When he is running free and throwing on rollouts he can look great. When a defense or his coaches force him to stay in the pocket he is horrible because he can't read defenses or find a 2nd option when his 1st option is covered. After throwing 2 pick sixes in a game on sideline patterns earlier this year, it got in his head and he became reluctant to throw towards the sideline or when he did he threw it short so it couldn't get picked. I don't know if he'd be doing any better if still playing for Harbaugh and Roman because he showed signs of regression last season but he sure has lost most of his confidence playing for the clowns they have coaching this year.
  2. Yep, I often wondered if Joe Montana would've become a Hall of Fame QB if drafted by the Bills in 1979. Same for Tom Brady.
  3. IIRC,in the 2nd half of the 2004 season they may have had their best stretch of games (6 game winning streak) during these last 15 years with convincing wins and an offense led by the running of McGahee. Despite the disappointing finale vs the Pitts backups, things were looking up for 2005 but a 3 game losing streak after an opening win sent them on their way to a 5-11 record.
  4. Because the coaching, other than Def Coordinator, appeared to be horrible last season and an established head coach and Offensive Coordinator were brought in. Incognito was added to a poor offensive line. McCoy, Harvin & Clay were added as offensive weapons. It was presumed the defense would be just as good as they were last season and the offense would be improved. Well, the offense has been significantly improved (9th in the league in points scored) but the defense has been much worse than last year. Roman may still frustrate fans with his playcalling but he's light years better than Hackett. I believe most Bills fans expected an increase in wins over the 9-7 of last year and an end to the playoff drought. It can still happen but is unlikely.
  5. No bigger bailing of "assets" than The Comeback.
  6. And there are only 7 referees on the field with 22 players running around, some at high speed. It's not an easy task.
  7. This Browns' team is so snake-bitten. A potential game-winning FG is blocked and taken back for the winning (losing) TD?! It's probably for the best for their draft position though. I have a feeling Johnny eventually ends up in Dallas.
  8. Kirk Cameron from Growing Pains?
  9. Jets fans still hanging onto Super Bowl 3 and Joe Namath's guarantee.
  10. And his bud Lee Evans was good at running under them. That's about all either could do.
  11. So, who thinks this was Rex's idea or it came from his boss. After those stupid post-game comments, I say it was the boss.
  12. Yep, Browns and Lions may be close but until another team loses 4 straight Super Bowls and has 15 (16?) straight seasons out of the playoffs, I agree it's toughest being a Bills fan.
  13. The only problem with that is it appeared that they hired an experienced head coach to take the existing roster and do more with it than Marrone did. Then they also added the likes of McCoy, Percy Harvin and Clay to win now. I doubt the Pegulas expected this step back before any possible steps forward to allow Rex time to get "his guys". All that money was invested in the D-Line with 2 of them over 30 with that unit expected to continue to be elite.
  14. A friend said he saw the Fox pre-game show and they talked to one of the head officials about the bad calls. He said there are 17 new officials this season. He also admitted that there have been a lot of incorrect calls on the field. They replaced the older referees to save money. These new guys don't have to have a specific amount of experience. Kind of makes sense now.
  15. Isn't it time to put an end to this?

  17. This was discussed here a couple of weeks ago. It is a new management model now common in the NFL
  18. The Miami Dolphins?
  19. Rex's statement should be an embarrassment to the whole Bills organization.
  20. Interesting that the Niners had the same problem while Roman was there.
  21. Bryce Brown was cut by the Seahawks. Just sayin'. And now signed back with Lynch having surgery.
  22. That pathetic slide instead of running for the 1st down was the end for me with Orton.
  23. Well, if they bought their equipment at Fry's or Best Buy instead of Walmart...
  24. When I worked for a defense contractor, this one guy used to say "Do you think the Russians do it this way?" Speaking of which, saw a standup comedian recently comment that the US Space Program spent millions developing a pen that could write vertically and in zero gravity. The Russians? They just use a pencil.
  25. At least Marcus Thigpen looked very confident fielding punts. Even when Leodis didn't fumble it looked like an adventure out there, having to dive for two of them.
