  1. Yet, I can just hear Gailey in the offseason saying "I didn't do a good job of getting him the ball..." like he did last offseason.
  2. Drives me crazy, too. They did it one time vs Dallas where Simms said it was the only option but their replay showed David Nelson was open for a 1st down. He had 6 recs for 51 yards. What do you want from an undrafted player?
  3. I don't like it either. Maybe 4 years max. Actually, I expect teams to start taking away the short stuff and making him prove he can throw deep, which he hasn't consistently to this point. He doesn't have the arm. He has to put his whole body into his throws. I guess we have to recognize that only $24 Mil (only?) are guaranteed. If he flames, they aren't liable for the full $60 Mil.
  4. At this point I'd be disappointed if they didn't win at Miami. Having lived on the West Coast for over 30 years and having attended many Bills' games out here, I say the San Diego game is the least likely to win. They rarely win out here. I have attended games in SF, SD, LA, Oakland & Seattle and they've lost every game. (I did not attend the Kelly/Steve Young offensive explosion in SF and they won) I am not going to SD for that game so they have a shot.
  5. I fully respect the job Gailey has done but he could be even better in my eyes if he showed the cajones to admit his mistake and demote (or fire?) Edwards during this bye week and make Wannstedt the defensive coordinator.
  6. Did they ever put him on the Wall at the Ralph?
  7. You can go back under your rock now.
  8. My prediction of a 6-10 record included wins over KC & Oakland so nothing has changed yet. The other wins?? Washington, Cincy and Miami and Jets at home. I might replace win over Jets with Denver at home.
  9. They have to not allow Brady's receivers to get open. He kills teams that blitz him. If they stick with 3-4, it's all on Williams. They went to a 4-3 when Merriman went out then stuck with it even after he returned. Barnett was playing the other outside position. You have to contain those TEs and Welker. The other WR has done little since they got rid of Moss.
  10. Ah, yes, the Hank Bullough games. They had decent leads at the half in several games that year only to lose. The post-game comments usualy contained a couple of malaprops like "We lost The Sail in our Winds."
  11. Yes, since the Bills have not won a Super Bowl, that is my favorite game in whooping the Raiders to get to the 1st Super Bowl.
  12. C'Mon, let's get one of the Gronkowski boys!
  13. So he becomes a free agent. How many teams would be lining up to sign him? Not many in my opinion.
  14. Yeah!! In 2007, he had 10 passes defended and 4 INTs.
  15. Some of you guys are being too critical and overreacting. 1. Merriman is going to help give the Bills their best pass rush in a few seasons 2. N. Barnett is an improvement on Poz at ILB. Sheppard should provide more depth than they've had. 3. Aaron Williams will improve the cornerback play 4. Dareus will help greatly with the rushing defense 5. A year's experience for another budding start in Stevie Johnson should make him even better this year and all of the other young receivers have a season under their belts 6. Wood is an upgrade at center and i believe that Chan will put a OL five on the field that will be better than what started 2010. 7. Scott Chandler has shown to be gaining a rapport with Fitz so I believe his production will be better than what we've seen out of the TE position in a while. All this adds up to a better team than in 2010. Chances are there may not be a significant improvement to the win-loss record, but it'll be an improved team for sure.
  16. I agree. Kickoffs have always been exciting. If you're going to end up with mainly touchbacks, why not just give the team the ball at the 20. You may still have antsy (Dumb?) returners, though, who'll bring the ball out of the end zone.
  17. Yeah. Then when he gets a 2nd sack in a game, it's the return of "Two for McAdoo!!""
  18. The offseason is the time of optimism prior to the 1st snap of the 1st regular season game. Then, as with the last decade, reality may set in. Don't deny us our optimism.
  19. In a city with an African-American mayor, who has a black fire commissioner, who had a black Police Chief, whose main university has a black athletic director and basketball coach and had a black football coach you play the race card?
  20. And such an improvement in the 1st preseason game. They gave up "only" 164 yards!!
