  1. And it wasn't long ago the receiving corps was a bunch of smurfs.
  2. Plus he's a possession receiver. If they were to trade for a WR, you'd think it would be for a speed guy.
  3. Guess I can drop Smallwood.
  4. When the Niners visited Washington, the Bay Area media asked Cousins about his future and he said he was happy where he is and not looking to go anywhere.
  5. I was thinking the same thing. With Clay's knees, it would be an upgrade and give Tyrod a great target. I don't know if this move would fall into the Bills "process" though. Graham has shown signs of breaking down, although he's just 30. I never understood why Seattle traded for him since they haven't fully utilized him and the trade of center Max Unger weakened their offensive line, which is still a problem. I don't think Graham can be criticized for his efforts when New Orleans tagged him and he tried to be designated as a wide receiver for a higher franchise tag amount. They eventually negotiated a new deal which made that point moot. He also IIRC has not gone public complaining about how the Seahawks have been using him. The bottom line would be whether the current Bills' team management would consider it worth taking on his contract. My gut tells me it probably would not. Where's Leroi?
  6. And that's what the Pats seem to do every year. They may start off slow but they always figure things out and then hit the playoffs on a roll. They peak at the end of the season as they should.
  7. Yes, remember the McDermott statement that they're not collecting talent, they're building a team.
  8. In general, a poster's number of posts is irrelevant. With your point of view, would you consider a writer that writes 10 books that nobody buys is better than a writer who writes one book but it's a bestseller? All that being said, although Dareus wasn't doing a lot, he was tying up blockers when he was playing. Only time will tell if there's an impact to the rest of the DL and the whole defense. Based on how the defense has progressed I actually expect another DT will take advantage of the extra snaps.
  9. It'll be really funny if they somehow get a bigger pick for Boldin.
  10. Fox did the right thing when they decided to just not show the national anthem. Now, if CBS, NBC, ESPN & NFL Network followed suit, these players would only be seen in the stadiums so less of an impact.
  11. I don't think Bryant comes anywhere close to being the type of person McBeane want on their team.
  12. He would've likely vowed to "Make the Buffalo Bills great again", found loopholes around the salary cap and other rules, opened his pocketbook in pursuit of the best talent but in the end probably had similar results as Washington's Dan Snyder and others where the sum of all parts doesn't equal a great successful team. How many USFL titles did the New Jersey Generals win under his ownership? Zero!
  13. That last play went on for so long, I had an "Oh sh$&!" moment when Evans got the ball and started running along the left sideline. Luckily a Bill was there after he ran for about 10-15 yards. It became so helter skelter an open lane could've easily opened up.
  14. I had a similar experience with SabreSpace a couple years back.
  15. There have also been many plays this season where the pressure has forced the QB to just throw it away. "Ex-stream"? Is that when a seasonal creek dries up in the summer? It becomes an "ex-stream"?
  16. Thank you, Michael Vick?
  17. With the current state of O-Line play in the NFL, I'd actually think more of getting like a 5th for Seantrel Henderson. Then you still have Glenn, Dawkins & Mills. I hope they don't trade Glenn. Of course, it may depend on what the medical staff thinks of the future with his feet.
  18. I thought that was going to cost the game as I, and probably most of you, didn't think the Bills could get a tying TD.
  19. "Turn out the lights, the party's over!"
  20. There have actually been a couple of good Thursday games this year (SF/Rams and Oakland/KC). Prior to this, most of them have been one-sided with the home team usually winning. It just showed there isn't enough time for a road team to prepare and travel.
  21. Didn't he throw a ball like 90 yards in a skills competition?
  22. The Bills started a trend back to ground-and-pound to win games?
  23. And it goes back to that "tuck rule" game for the Pats vs the Raiders. Nobody had heard of that rule and the ref comes up with it for that crucial play?
  24. I agree on Zay. Fans and media got on Zay after the game ending play vs Carolina and a missed connection on a diving attempt the following game, both of which had a high degree of difficulty. Then there was the " miss" that resulted in the Andre Holmes TD. That ball was humming and Zay had just turned his head. If people want to see drops, watch, for example, watch a Raiders game and Amari Cooper. His drops gave been brutal. A couple games ago, a 5 yard pass was thrown accurately right to his hands at eye level. The ball went right thru his hands, bounced off his helmet and was almost intercepted. Zay has not had any "drops" like that. In the great Jerry Rice's rookie year, he had a bunch of major drops, including several when he was 10 yards beyond the defense and the ball was laid right into his hands. Let's give Zay a break!
