  1. You guys remember back in the day when midget tossing was a sport? That was wild!
  2. He could knock out his teammates!
  3. I think the GMs, coaches, players and agents may provide some negative feedback on this change. Could be a free-for-all like undrafted free agents after the draft but the difference is just over a week before the start of the regular season. For example, a talented older veteran O-lineman gets cut, but he has little experience with zone blocking. It may not make sense for the Bills to add him at this point. Yes, it's the same as if they were part of the last cut in prior years but if most cuts start Friday, we could be talking about over a thousand players let go on the same day.
  4. Better not be Miller. I then may start to lose faith in McBeane
  5. Winning with Wenning?!
  6. And they publicly state this is not the case. Seeing is believing.
  7. Yes, trades of players has been rare in the NFL, much less three involving one team in such a short period.
  8. Whoa, just had another clear premonition. They're going to eat the salary cap implications and trade Dareus for a 3rd round pick in 2019. 😜
  9. With the returns they've been getting, I don't think we want anymore. Yes. 👳🏻
  10. Horrible return. As with Watkins, couldn't they have waited for him to show he's healthy? I guess this follows the philosophy of running a team without considering what round a player was drafted in, which is good from the standpoint of not giving guys starting positions when they don't deserve them just because they were high picks.
  11. My premonition came true. Off to the casino.
  12. Yeah, just rewatched the 2014 & 2015 Bills highlight films. It was fun watching those beautiful deep passes to Sammy.
  13. So, does anyone know if the final cuts are cuts vs waivers?
  14. Ah, the old Chris Kelsay ploy.
  15. I think Blackmon is banned for life and Gordon applied for reinstatement but was denied. They don't fit the "culture" anyways.
  16. A good chunk of that Bills defense is now on the Eagles: Nigel Bradham Corey Graham Ron Brooks Plus they have Darby and used to have McKelvin
  17. Raiders may regret letting Matt McGloin leave and replacing him with EJ.
  18. I vote for Gradkowski. Us Polish Bills fans would enjoy rooting for a fellow Pole.
  19. Speaking of Testaverde, I saw a transaction that Miami (The U) QB Vincent Testaverde announced that he was transferring.
  20. Whether the Bills mgmt recognizes shortcomings of O-Line or lack of WR speed, I wouldn't be surprised at another deal, even if it's a low level move.
  21. It's somewhat a case of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!". The offense led the league in rushing each of the last 2 years. So, what happens? An OC is brought in with a different line-blocking scheme. It seems Miller may be struggling with this new scheme or Ducasse is just Castillo's buddy or both. Missing Glenn is likely playing a big part also but right now the collective O-Line is not playing well. Maybe they just need some more time to jell.
  22. The NBA continues to be innovative with contracts (still all guaranteed though) and salary cap rules. It's about time the NFL comes up with some new way of dealing with situations like this . Maybe allow one player contract per year that gets wiped from the salary cap. It's going in the other direction though as there is more guaranteed money than there ever was. They did allow for bonuses to be spread out over the contract but it makes it tough to get rid of a player if it's going to screw up the salary cap if there are years left on his contract. Unfortunately, all it takes is for one team to set a precedent (increased contract guarantees) that ends up screwing it up for others.
  23. I've watched the half hour highlight show of SB XXV many times. Yes, the FG would've won the game but there were so many more crucial plays. It's agonizing to see the Bruce Smith tackle of Hostetler where a fraction of a second or one inch could've resulted in a fumble. Then there was Mark Ingram breaking several tackles to get a 1st down on 3rd and 17. Finally, there was the clock management at the end where the Bills could've easily ran a couple more plays to make the FG attempt shorter, especially with a pass instead of Thurman run on the last play. They seemed to play for the 47 yard FG, which was out of Norwood's range.
  24. But with noodle-armed Fitz as QB, the majority of his receptions were quick short hits. Stevie didn't have deep speed.
