  1. Yeah, many “experts “ also were surprisingly saying the Bills title contention window was closing after a 13-3 season. Maybe they knew what they were talking about.
  2. Beane and his staff will have a really big job with salary cap manipulation again for 2024. This years cap was $227M+ with the Bills total at $226+. The cap went up about $19M this year. If it went up the same in 2024, that would put it at about $246M. According to SPORTAC, the Bills have an estimated team salary of $275M+ for 43 players. That puts them about $29M over.
  3. I thought the “experts” predicting like 9-8 records for the Bills was ludicrous but right now it’s a strong possibility. They keep playing like this and I don’t see them winning the next 2 games. Then, they “should” be able to beat Denver and the Jets at home. The gauntlet of road games at Philly and KC followed by Dallas at home now seems hopeless.
  4. I’ve been saying it for a couple years. They approached the weak inside protection by replacing the guards but I’ve seen that Morse was just as much of the problem. He has often been bullrushed back into Josh but now pash rushers are breaking free. Sure, many teams have pass protection issues due to the lack of quality O-linemen but good teams figure out how to address it. Put Gilliam back there as an extra blocker. What good is it to have 5 receivers out on patterns if Josh doesn’t have the time to find them?
  5. Yeah, I’ve been behind McD because of the success of the winning seasons, but I’m finally leaning the other way. Josh has shown his loyalty to Dorsey by saying it comes down to execution and he has to be better but it’s not happening. With 2 straight poor games vs teams they should’ve dominated, something is very wrong. They got beat and the defense was picked apart by Mac Jones! Sure, they lost some very good players to injuries, but good coaches develop schemes and game plans to try and hide their weaknesses. The broadcaster mentioned it, so I’m curious why Von Miller wasn’t on the field for that last play. Is he still not 100%? They called a timeout before that last play and still gave up the TD.
  6. Yeah, $11K to these players is like $11 to us. That’s supposed to be a punishment?
  7. I’m somewhat concerned about this game. After the lasr 2 games, and Belechick’s reputation with defensive game plans, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bills offense struggles again. Also, sh*# seems to happen in Foxboro.
  8. And the Dolphins passed on Brees because they didn’t like his physical. 😂🤪😂🤪😂🤪😂 This board may have been overrun by middle schoolers.
  9. No, you don’t. I assume it would be like everything else on ESPN+. If you don’t stream it live, it’s available later to watch.
  10. I remember watching a televised tournament a couple years ago that included a few ex-NFL players. One player on defense hit a receiver with a big shoulder hit and was tossed A successful QB in that tournament had a real funky looking throw and not much of an arm but was accurate
  11. I played football thru high school, college and then as an NFL replacement player in 1987. I then got into high school coaching for awhile and then a college position coach. #sarcasm
  12. He was step for step with a lot of receivers as they caught the ball in front of him.
  13. Under McD, they figure things out, and get on a roll at end so record-wise I’ll say 12-5, still good enough to take the AFC East as we beat the Dolphins in Miami as they fade as usual, possibly due to Tua missing games again.
  14. I don’t understand why this keeps coming up about Mark Davis. Don’t they all get part of the multibillion dollar TV money? Is he spending too much time in the casinos?
  15. This was truly a strange day of NFL football. The last 2 unbeaten teams both lost on the road to good defensive teams with crappy backup QBs. I had the 4 screen up for the early games and every game seemed boring. I don’t know if the league is watered down or what but there are few well played games anymore. The scoring had been way up in recent seasons but today there were 17 teams that scored less than 20 points.
  16. That commercial was the first thing I thought of when I saw he had passed.
  17. The 3rd down pass to Knox could’ve ended the game right there, but by falling incomplete, it stopped the clock and saved the Giants their final timeout. I don’t know how many of you watched the postgame but they showed that Taron Johnson should’ve been called for holding on the last play. Flag not thrown, game over!
  18. Williams came close. After he knocked Brown down he stood over with a clenched fist, coiled, but then thought better of it.
  19. Pats traded Bledsoe to Bills. Belly got the last laugh there.
  20. Yes, Klein was a strong pass rusher out of that position
  21. Neither major injury on Thursday had anything to do with the turf. Milano was bent into an unfortunate position. Jones’ pectoral injury was likely just from wrestling with offensive linemen.
