  1. Yeah... he could use some sensitivity training. But, Billions and billions and billions have been poured into that country over the past 70 years... Papa Doc and on. I personally know missionaries that had been there from the mid sixties unti the late 90's. All that money goes to the dictator to build his palaces, wardrobe, and his luxuries. Maybe 1% the people end up getting. You can give someone a fish sandwich and feed them for a day, or you can teach them how to fish and feed them for a lifetime. No matter what has been done in Haiti, it's a no win situation because of the culture. Sad for sure, because of all of the suffering that goes on. Until that culture is changed, and I don't see it happening, it's gooing to be the same old same old.
  2. He could be in the rotation... however, absolutely, no way would he hold up as a starter for a full season. He missed 5 games this year because he couldn't hold up. See Jeff Wright vs. real Bills nose tackles like Fred Smerlas, Ted Washington & Pat Williams (early years). You'd like your nose tackle to be in the 325 lb. plus range to really cause problems. Casey Hampton, Kris Jenkins, Wilfork. Jay Ratliff of the Cowboys plays at a little above 300, is an exception. He is surrounded by 6 other guys that are all above average NFL players at their positions... the Bills definitely aren't in that situation.
  3. Trust me... there ain't a franchise QB in this draft. Aside from Braford (who is as brittle as fine chrystal), the talent out there isn't any better than what's on the Bills roster now. Besides... If Bills bring in another young QB and his blind side isn't protected they've just screwed their investment at QB. Bills need a lot more man at both tackles than they have now. But their greatest need is left tackle. No matter how many great skill position players they have, without competence up front, they are toast.
  4. MItchell is the only bonafide and guaranteed LB on the roster (assuming he's healthy) that will be a sure fire ILB in a 3-4 at 250 lbs. As you recall last season when he was healthy, his sacks and QB pressures were right up the middle.
  5. Dude... you don't know that. He might be able to be an OLB. Green Bay and Denver switched to 3-4 and a few of their DEs ended up playing at OLB... and playing well. Don't put money on it either way... just watch and see what happens
  6. Not too many do think he'll succeed. But, he definitely aint gonna cut it as a DE in this league. OLB in a 3-4 is his only option. If he flops again this coming season, he's gone. Picking Maybin was even more stupid than picking Mike Williams. At list Mike had a handful of vey good games.
  7. Dude... he got smoked at ND. He's be in way over his head in the pros as a DC.... the NFL has QBs like Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Drew Brees. No way he'd be able to write a recipe to defend them. He might want to come in as an asst. linebackers or asst. special teams coach to cut his teeth in the NFL
  8. So... are you appealing to all the season ticket holders to hold off on making a decision on renewing until at least after week 9 of the 2010 regular season?
  9. Dude... seriously... 3 wins is 18% of the frickin schedule. And, what if the Jets beat the Bills when they ran over them for 300 yards, or if the Colts had played their starters. If only John McCain got 18% more of the votes, we'd have Sarah palin as VP. If only the Bills lost 3 more games, they's have a top 5 draft pick. Yeah.... we get it if the Bills win all their games, they are SB champs. Damn, your post was stupid... you must have reached all the way up to your spleen to pull that tidbit out.
  10. Exactly. Anyone that thinks Gailey can get this team to the playoffs, let alone wina playoff game is seriously either in denial or dillusional.... perhaps both. I think I'd rather have Charlie Chan
  11. forget the DC... GAiley is going to make everyone ecstatic when he names his OC... Turk Schonert. ya know... those OCs that get fired a week before the season gotta stick together, right.
  12. Hell if just 4 or 5 season ticket holders take their season ticket money and spend it on the billboard, you've done the job.
  13. Right... the two are the same person. NONSENSE. Cowher's an "A" lister, Gailey's a "B" lister. If you don't know the difference then you've got a problem.
  14. That's a fair question. However, in a 3-4 D, no way can Williams, a 305 lb. DT be an everydown, or even 2 down NT. We go to the 3-4, you need a 325-365 lb. slob to hold up for a full season.
  15. Let's rethink this. Aside from Wade Phillips, no other team will hire Fewell, Jauron, Williams, or Mularkey as their HC. So, any HC coming in here continuing to lose 8 or more games a season has an 80% chance that he won't land another HC gig in the league. So, yeah... there's a lot to lose. When selecting a HC (other than the Bills), teams don't look at a 27-43 WL record, for example, and say, yeah... but he coached the Bills... if it had been the Giants he would have been 43-27. Really... we've got to get out of this denial stage and admit this team is a total disaster and will remain dormant, at least until ownership changes hands. All the media hammering on the Bills is well deserved and for the most part spot on. When it comes time to renew your season tix, ask yourself if you'd put up with the same BS from your, plumber, carpenter, mason, mechanic, restaurant, department store, financial advisor, etc. Watching this kind of garbage for 7 games a year, the ticket prices ought to be cut by 2/3 and throw in free parking and concessions.
  16. No player additons alone will do much for the Bills. Aside from getting rid of Ralph and the entire FO... my plan to slavage what we have in a hurry... at least 20 players are gonna get sliced. 1) Hire Cowher 2) DEFENSE: Go 3-4. Move Mitchell inside, Kick Poz & Ellison to the Curb. If Schobel wants to play... stick him at OLB... ditto Denney. Let Johnson, Stroud, & Kelsay fight it out at DE. Maybin to OLB. Bring in an experienced 3-4 ILB and OLB, and A bonafide NT (Williams can back up). Resign Scott and Wilson. Kick Whitner and Youboty to the curb. 3) OFFENSE: Bring in highly talented OTs, either through FA or draft that are instantly considerable upgrades over what we have... including Butler. Keep Simmons and Incognito for depth until Wood's injury is resolved. Give up a player or mid round draft pick for Marc Bulger and draft the QB of the future. Bring in a possesion receiver. Get rid of Schouman at TE (unless he can be a poss. receiver... 225 lbs. TEs don't make it in the NFL), get rid of the other brittle TE (Fine) and bring in a man. Dump Marshawn and bring in a back that has more quickness, speed, and durability. 4) SPECIAL TEAMS: If the Bills must go with exclusive spec team players that can't play a lick anywhere else, limit it to 5 players period... Lindell, Moorman, Sanborn, and either two gunners, or a gunner and returner. No more exclusive ST players like Roscoe, Wendling, Jenkins, Corto, Stamer. 5) After 2 years on the PS, if ya ain't cabable of moving up... see ya Yep... I'm tossing out the baby and the bathwater... It is one ugly ass baby to begin with.
  17. seriously dude.... Jamon Merideth? WTF? you never should have gone off your meds.
  18. Not sure I understand all this man love for Rex Ryan, and now his bro. Last year, under "Mangina" the Jests were 9-7, but did not make the playoffs. Enter Ryanocerous... They add a QB a LB (Scott), a DB (Leonard), a wr (Edwards), a rb (Green). Inherits a mature offensive line as well. Finishes 9-7... mainly because the Colts and Bengals lay down in the last two games of the season and the Jests make the playoffs... with virtually the same identical record as last year. Last year, Mike White, in his first year as HC of the Falcons made the playoffs. Where are the Falcons now? So, WTF has Ryan accomplished so far, except fire up opposing teams locker rooms because of his big mouth? Perhaps before we cannonize Ryan, let's see where he ends up this season, and then the next two seasons to get a real assesment of what he is as a HC. Your assignment for this week is to look up Ray Malavasi and reort back your findings and what you think the moral of the story is.
  19. Coaching search is not going as planned because it was a Schitee plan to begin with.
  20. Trestman is a west coast offense guy. And, not a very good one at that. He might be able to school the defenses in the CFL because he's been around some good mentors... and the CFL is a spread it out passing league. In Buffalo, from November on, a pass happy offense would hit a wall very quickly. Bills need a coach that will instill toughness... both offense and defense... something that we've not seen in quite some time. Trestman ain't the guy that will do that. But, if it will make you happy, we can interview him.
  21. ARE YOU SERIOUS? You think we got value from J Scott, J. Merideth, D. Bell, and Poz simply because they started games for the Bills? The three O linemen,I mention above, would not start on any other NFL team... and probably wouldn't make the final roster on half of the NFL teams. Fabio is a huge disappointment. For every play he makes, he screws up three plays by getting pancaked or being out of position. I see no value in those four whatsoever. No question about the other six.
  22. a samll speedy defense in the Bufalo climate will CONTINUE to get pummeled and chewed up... especially in crunch time against a top 12 offense. They just won't hold up... and Nix used an anology of the SD "D" vs. the Indy "D". That's why SD's offense could control 3 of the 4 games SD won against Indy. We need a big physical defense... period.
  23. Seems like the FO doesn't care what the fans think. Brandon has pulled the Barnum & Baily crap for 10 years with success and Ralph's endorsed it. They fired Jaron 10 weeks ago and still no HC. If the Bills go ahead and bring in another OC or DC that has to learn to be a HC on the job, I hope the fans are wise enough to wait and see how things unfold before they run for the koolaid and season tix. What will the coaching staff look like? QB?, LB?, OT?, free agency, the draft. How will the entire preseason look? FO's actions and not words will speak volumes in the coming weeks and months. I know a lot of fans don't care whether the Bills win or lose, they'll still pony up for their season's tix and that's their right. But, with an economy in the tank and the Bills seemingly either totally inept or unwilling to field a competetive team, I hope the fans think with their brain insted of their heart and say "NYET" to Bills season tix and force the Bills to earn back the trust of the fans. I just don't see the Bills doing anything different than they've done for the past several seasons. I think they've developed a new mantra... "dare to be adequate".
  24. So Shotty Jr. nixes (no pun intended) the Bills. Big deal Jr., get over yourself. You aint a HC anyway. HC's sones haven't exactly done to well Mora Jr. - Nuff said Shula Jr. - nuff said Nolan Jr. - Nuff said Phillips Jr. - you get to coach teams with a lot of talent but no SB rings (5 HC stints) Ryan Jr. - we know you have a big mouth and got Jets to playoffs this year...Now what? In general, former HC kids aint done well.... Bobby Bowden's two kids ain't anywhere on his level. Ray Meyer, former BB coach at Depaul... his kid sucked when he took over the program. The moral of the story is don't be too disapointed that an ex HC's kid spurns the Bills. That is good news.
  25. Please no Frazyuh. If the Bills were a 10-6, 11-5 team I'd be more comfortable handing it off to him. Or, if the Bills had a stellar front office... like in Indy, New England, or San Diego I'd say sure, let him have at it. But the Bills ain't in that situation... The next HC is walking into a mess... and I don't just mean the FO. The Bills front 7 on D has to be addressed. Schobel will probably not be back, Kelsay isn't playing up to his contract, and Stroud has slipped. All three LB positions need to be addressed. On offense, both tackles and a wr to go with Evans (and no... no wr on the roster is ready for prime time other than Evans) as well as the QB need serious upgrading. TE still needs to be addressed. The 220 lb. TE experiment with Schouman is over... maybe he could be a third string possession receiver. Fine has turned out to be an injury waiting to happen... ditto with Nelson. And, then the depth issue has to be adressed and potentially RB with Lynch continuing to lose brain cells. So, we've got Nix, Guy, and Modrak watching the house. Anybody getting a warm & fuzzy? The only thing that can prop this trifecta up is either one hell of an over the shoulder 80 ft. trey hitting the back iron and then in at the buzzer in triple OT (Frazyuh), or Bill Cowher, Schotty, the ghost of Vince Lombardi, or God. Just for schittz & giggles... take the SD Chargers, Tennessee Titans, or Dallas Cowboys and grade their players. Then go down the bills roster and grade them. Dudes... this team is not just a couple of fries short of a happy meal... we're missing the burger, the pickle, the ketchup, mustard, and the soft drink.... but we've got a soggy bun.
