  1. he's like 40 years old... how about we let him enjoy his frickin pension?
  2. ????? Right dude... do you know any NFL LB that ain't been schooled by Brady? WTF? How much would you like to wager that some team won't pick him up as part of some compensation package... draft pick or other. He's 26 years old (PRIME), 4 years of NFL starting experience in a cover 2, has good speed, had 68 tackles in 8 games last year. seems to me he'd fit the profile for teams like Indy, Philly, Tenn, Saints, Giants. And don't forget... Jauron and Fewell are now assistants with two of those teams. Why the hell do you think the Bills tendered him? They aint gonna keep him. So, why not outright release him?
  3. You can't be serious. What the hell would the Bills do with a soon to be 33 year old center that is marginal to begin with? How the F*ck does he make this team better? Dude... if you care about the Bills and want them to get better, you have got to start setting your standards higher than players like Fraley. Think dude.... you want to consider bringing in a center from a team that had the worst offense in the NFL last year.
  4. We all agree... a franchise QB is the only thing that will turn this team around. We're not stupid... we all know that! However, "BUFFALO, WE HAVE A PROBLEM". There are no freakin franchise QBs in this draft! The last time we drafted a QB in round one or two, they sucked! Kelly was the only QB the Bills drafted #1 that was worth it, and he had two years to tear it up in another pro league before coming on board. Bills are best jjust going with young players and sucking for the next year or two and hope they land a top 7 pick in 2011 or 2012 and getting a shot at a good young franchise QB.
  5. Relax dude. Its just a strategy. They have no intention of Ellison being on the 53 man roster in September. Teams are not tendering their restricted free agents because they want to keep them. Their only value to their team is "trade value" , and thus posturing to use these players as trade bait. If they don't get what they want in a trade, they will be released. In Ellison's case, he is highly regarded as a cover linebacker. And, he does have 3 years of NFL starting experience. Someone with a 4-3 defense that needs a linebacker may very well give up a player or 5th or 6th round draft pick. So, rest assured... Ellison's jersey will be worn by someone else come September.
  6. So, when you called up the ticket office and asked them to help you understand, what did they have to say?
  7. Different, or new...whatever you care to call it, does not mean better. This regime is a HUGE question mark that will only be able to be graded in January 2011. right now, they ain't done schitt to win my accolades or trust. They will have to earn that the old fashioned way... by getting it done. So, I'll wait before I buy.
  8. So, what's your rationale for bringing in a soon to be 32 year old DE and a soon to be 36 year old DT that doesn't even weigh in at 305? The Bills, in anyone's wildest dreams are at least 3 seasons away from a playoff spot. So why waste the time with these guys. I could see it if the Bills were a perenial playoff team and needed a little depth at these postions to get them to a SB... assuming they'd both come real cheap. But I'm not seeing the upside at all.
  9. Exactly what roles do you see these 4-3 def. ends playing for a team that will use the 3-4? do you envision them as starters? if so, for how many seasons? how much money are they worth? who are they better than on the current bills roster?
  10. B and C level players. Another reconstruction going on. Not likely to pay big $$$ to superstars. More apt to stick with their usual and overpay for the B'ers and C'ers
  11. Bingo. Spot on. Not wanting to pay #2 coin is one thing, but it also belies the reality that he's not worth the 9th pick either.
  12. You heard it here first. I told you so. The Doc rocks.
  13. Based on what the Bills currently have on the roster, Anderson would be an upgrade. How much, I'm not sure. Don't know how really strong his arm is and how durable he is. He will have some suitors if he is released.
  14. You like what you've seen from this regime? Really???? I 've heard the usual bull and banter, the key ingredients for another batch of koolaid. So, please do tell. What have you seen from this regime that you like? What is different from the past regime besides the names?
  15. You are seriously dillusional if you believe there are any tackles on this roster that are competent NFL starters. Merideth? Bell? These guys are simply training camp fodder. Just because they've had NFL starting experience means nothing. They only started becuase there was no one else. Levitre would not hold up on the outside for more than a couple of games. You can count 300 lb. starting tackles in the NFL on one hand... and they ain't good. Wood will be "PUP'd", so don't look for him until game 8 or 9.
  16. Dude... trust me, he'll be there at #29 unless some team buys the "sizzle" instead of the steak. He shouldn't even be a consideration in the first round. He's just another overrated ND QB that. People need to stop living in the past and the buying into this non existent ND mystique. It's been dead for a long time.
  17. Jeezuz... I think a pre schooler using photoshop could have done a better job than this clown.
  18. He's not a bad pick in the 3rd. Lynch's one way ticket out of town has probably already been punched. You need two backs in the NFL. Jackson & Gerhard would give the Bills a good one - two punch. Jackson and Lynch gives them a one and one eighth punch. Sooner or later the Lynch jersey holders will relaize that Lynch is a POS and they need to move on to a different jersey... one that holds its value a little longer.
  19. I say it's an 80% chance they trade down.... and the fact they need a RT and LT is just part of the reason. Bills have 3 challenges... 1) Need QB 2) Need 3-4 personnel (NT,LB,DE 3) Need tackles The Bills need to fill a lot of holes. They are likely to trade Schobel, Lynch and Whitner for draft picks, and this years's draft is supposedly deep in OL and DL... both are positions of need for the Bills. They are not going to pay a guy like Davis or Bulaga top 10 money. Neither rates as high as some of the tackles of the past drafts. Think back to last year's draft. Smith, Monroe, Davis in the top 10. Not a lot of production. Oher at 20, Britton, Loadholt, and Vollmer in the 2nd round had way better production than the 3 in the top 10. So, let's say the Bills go into the draft with 10 picks. I believe the Bills strategy will be to trade down from 9 to perhaps 16 and then perhaps from 16 to 24. In doing that, they'll easily have an extra 2nd and 3rd rounder. Now they have 13 picks. They aren't going to select 13 players, but they will use the extra picks to strategically trade up in round 2 and 3 to get their guys. There really is no player at #9 that is going have much of an impact on the Bills, either this coming season or in the following seasons. Mike Williams turned out to be a dog schitt pick, Donte Whitner was a dog schitt pick, Aaron Maybin has been a dog schitt pick. I think the Bills "get it". They struck gold with Wood (28), Byrd (42) Levitre (51), and Nelson (121) last year. So, they will follow a similar path.
  20. REX "F-ing" GROSSMAN? AIM HIGHER DUDE... unless you're shooting for almost adequate.
  21. True. However, neither is close to being worth the 9th pick. Neither will go before 18... and Clausen will probably drop further. So, if the Bills want either, all they have to do is trade down...and they could even trade down twice and pick either one and land themself an extra 2nd rounder and 3rd rounder, or more.
  22. Well... this just sounds like a rehashing of what Colin Cowherd stated. And, theyr're both right... with Meyer, it's about Florida football and winning. Preparing a layer for the next level ain't in the plan... that prep rests squarely on the player. Florida will continue to win... sans Tebow And... just a freebee... all this crap abpout Tebow changing his mechanics. Fantastic... he still is what he is... a college QB. When he stares down the barrel of an NFL defense he will still do what his body and mind instinctively do. On the NFL level that will get him in serious doo doo.
  23. WTF? It ain't like any of the 4 on the roster are Peyton Manning or Drew Brees (or even close for that matter). 1) If you call trying to get better at a position that the Bills have a serious weakness, then hell yeah, they need to be disrespected. Every damn one of them sucks. None of them are even solid backups. 2) The FO & coaches aren't in it to make friends. There job is to put the best team out there. Along the way, if someone feels disrespected, tuff Schitt!! 3) Inquiring about the availiablity of a player on another team, it could mean many things... *It could signal other teams that the Bills want to make a deal and now that team is now competing for a trade. *It could be a smoke screen. If no trade goes through by draft day, everyone is thinking the Bills go for a QB @9 and then they draft a LT, NT, or other. *It could mean the Bills would unload players that a team with a couple of decent QBs find attractive. Hell, I'd give up 51,20, 23, 58, 94 and a few others for a very good QB that is tough, durable, and will be around for the next 6 or so years.
  24. Who the hell is Dick Levy?
  25. Whether Butler came back or not, the Bills still needed a real RT. He realized that with Levitre, Wood, and Incognito he was going to have to earn a spot as a guard, cuz he sure as hell can't play RT.
