  1. I was thinking the same as most on this board coming into the season: at best 5-7 wins. But after the 3-0 start, no not the 5-2 start, but the 3-0 start, I TRULY thought it was going to happen. That the Buffalo Bills would make the playoffs for the first time since I was 13 f#@!ing years old!!! We had bright young players at most every skill position and we had a defense that was almost as exciting to watch, because of the turnovers, as the offense was. Fred Jackson was not only a pro bowler but a mvp type player. Fitz was playing literally the best football a qb as played for us since Bledsoes' first 4-5 games as a Bill in '02. Stevie, Nelson, Chandler, Wood, Levitre, heck, even Bell looked good! I took the Jets game with a grain of salt as I had kind of expected us to loose. I again didn't really think we'd go into Dallas and win, but the way we got smoked was shocking to me. But again, we were 5-4 and had the dumpy Dolphins next. Honestly, deep down inside, I knew the 'phins would win, but no one could have realistically predicted that mess. But still, after all that, after scoring 26 points in 3 weeks and loosing several more players to the IR, I still had faith that this team would rally together and win some games, not so much make the playoffs, but win a few for pride. Now, Fred's gone. Our beloved Fred Jackson is out for the year. A person that dominated story lines across the NFL for the first half of the season and basically our one bright spot left is done. My question, concern, what have you is, what now? As Mora once said, "don't talk about playoffs, I just hope we can win a game!" We won't only not make the playoffs, again, but probably won't win another game. What do we cheer for? Luck? No, he's out of reach. The kid from Baylor? No, we signed Fitz to 5 years, yes they can get out of it, but you know they won't. We have nothing to play for, no reason to attend, no reason to watch! It's depressing, sad, and a damn shame this crap keeps happening to us. I not only feel for the team, but most of all, for you, the fans. The guys that continue to pour money into this team, as I do, and get nothing in return. So again, what now?
  2. The first meeting the Jets were coming off a bye week. Now in the second meeting the Jets are coming off a Thursday night game and have an extra 4 days of prep for the Bills. Whats up with that?!?!? I don't know that I'd call it a "major" advantage for the Jets but its certainly a disadvantage for the Bills... Thoughts??

  4. I must say, this is a very good and interesting topic. Along with being a diehard Bills fan, I love me some SU Hoops(almost forced to living in Syracuse), but it stops there. The NBA is beyond a joke. SU football is kind of take it or leave it. I also can't get enough of the Sabres. I don't do Baseball, Soccer, Tennis, Golf, NASCAR, Boxing, MMA, PBA(lol)...not even the Olympics anymore...
  5. Looking at the remaining schedule I see at most 2 wins. At home vs Miami and probably Tennessee. The defense is beyond pathetic and how about someone starts talking about Chan's horrid play calling lately.
  6. With the ace whooping we took today, there should still be a lot of optimism in Buffalo. We have a 5-3 team in a likely 3 way tie in our division. This team was expected, by many, to win maybe 5 games at most! We have 2 loses by a combined 6 points and one beat down. Granted, we could easily be 1-7 but we could also be 7-1 just as easily. This has been without a doubt the most exciting Buffalo Bills team in over a decade and I for one applaud our efforts thus far. Lets hope we can bounce back in Dallas and give our Bills faithful something to cheer for in December. GO BILLS!!! P.S. Where the heck was Brad Smith today???
  7. Bills have signed LB Antonio Coleman... http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/Bills-bring-back-LB-Coleman/b8e9f383-f145-4415-9650-7ed1c2b76a9c
  8. I'd say Bills fans are reading into the loss to the Giants a little to much. They were coming off a major let down at home against the lowly Seahawks and played us in an almost must win situation. We had our, other than Freddie, MVP out in Kyle Williams and the left tackle situation hurt big time. With the bye this week, we will get healthy and back on track... "Home" vs Redskins: After Grossman's play on Sunday and us coming off a bye, we win our first in Toronto 5-2 Home vs Jets: Jets are not nearly as good as were expected, however, if they shut down Freddie, we could be in trouble. I still say its a win. 6-2 At Cowboys: Should be a pretty entertaining game and at this point its a toss-up to me, but I'll give it to Dallas at home. 6-3 At Dolphins: Nothing needs to be said here, Bills win big 7-3 At Jets: Likely a big game for Buffalo as we will be trying to keep pace with New England, but I'd expect Rexy to "out gameplan" Chan the second time around. Jets win 7-4 Home vs Titans: Almost seems this is a forgotten game on our schedule, after a tough loss on the road, the Bills will come back home and beat Hasselbeck, who has never won against Buffalo, I think?? 8-4 At Chargers: Tough task for Buffalo here, they'd need a lot to go there way to knock off the Chargers at home. SD wins 8-5 Home vs Dolphins: As was the situation in week 11, not much to say here, Bills win 9-5 Home vs Broncos: Bills secondary should have a field day playing against Tebow. He can hardly throw the ball as is, let alone throwing it in The Ralph with the crazy winds in that stadium in December. Should be an easy win for Buffalo 10-5 At Patriots: Hate to say it, but New England could be 14-1 and Bills may need an 11th win for a playoff birth, but New England will still beat us here. 10-6 I see us going 10-6, lets just hope its enough for a wild card birth
  9. Several calls throughout the day by the refs were not only questionable but favored the Bengals heavily. The Bryan Scott TD that was called back was clearly a fumble, not incomplete. But for me, the game changer was when they reviewed the 3rd and 1 catch by Stevie and said it was incomplete. Every angle clearly showed he had control and his arm was under the ball. Ruined the game..
  10. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/features/writers/prisco/picks Note: He correctly picked only 37% last week
  11. We got a 4th round pick and an undisclosed player
  12. EA Sports website and Youtube have taken down the link for the new unis, anybody know where I can find one?? Thanks
  13. The only reason I say the Jets is they very well could have things locked up come week 17
  14. The Bills will finish with 5 wins this year which will likely knock them out of the top 5; wins over Cleveland, Miami, and New York(maybe even Minnesota). Detroit, Carolina, Cleveland, Arizona, Minnesota, Cinncinati, and Dallas will all finish in the 2-5 win area. The Panthers and Cardinals will definetly be looking for a QB yearly in the draft along with the 49ers, Raiders, Seahawks and maybe even the Bengals each posibly trading up. With that said, and knowing the Bills history of rarely trading up on draft day, what are the odds of getting a QB? I see them sticking with a stable Fitzpatrick and looking to go D with someone like Quinn.
