  1. Cousineau sucked. Good thing the Bills didn't ink him. Drafting him was bad enough.
  2. Dudes... It ain't like he's being a jerk. His over night flight was cancelled. What did you expect him to do, walk? For Christ's sake, he jumped on the next available flight and arrived yesterday. So, I ain't getting what the big deal is. Next time you're late for work because your car breaks down 25 miles from work, you probably should either be suspended or get your ass chewed out real good.
  3. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR!!!!! 1) Why a new stadium? What's wrong with the Ralph? 2) They have the lowest priced luxury suites in the NFL. Why would anyone want to pay double when the bills can't fill all of them now. Plus, all the wealthy folks that can afford it are moving out of state, and in the process, keeping $millions$ of the money that NYS would otherwise confiscate. 3) It's the cheapest ticket in the NFL... why would you want to pay double to sit in a heated chair with wifi? 4) WTF? New stadium = PSL... are you out of your f--ing mind? 5) What... you want the taxpayers to fund a new stadium??? WTF? I can't imagine anyone in this state that has a total tax burden of $10,000 (which might be average) or more that would appreciate paying more.
  4. Bust? Absolutely... but he did make a significant contribution his first two seasons at RT. Maybin's contribution so far has been 18 tackles in 16 games... far less than Williams contribution.
  5. I was surprised when the Bills recently added Torbor to the roster... and then moved him to ROLB. Then, with him getting first team reps in mini camp, it spoke volumes... at least to me. This may or may not be a clear signal that Maybin may not cut it. If so, I can't think of a bigger bust that the Bills have drafted in the first round than him. Erik Flowers and John McCargo would be close seconds. The Bills did get some production out of the likes of Patulski, Harmon, Gant, Hunter, Miller, Bell, and Losman. But, I can't remember any of the Bills being drafted as high as #11 and getting virtually nothing, in terms of production. At #8, Whitner certainly hasn't shown he was deserving of that, but he has given the Bills moderate production.
  6. His arm is weaker than Kelly Holcomb's. When the bulletts start flying for real, he'll be lucky to be carrying a clipboard.
  7. Jeez, I guess Lynch's agent must have emailed Lynch a copy of his approval ratings and suggested a measured response, such as actually, maybe, participating in an OTA to at least stop those ratings from plummeting even further.
  8. I'm confused. Why all the fuss over Lynch. I don't recall this much attention being given to a third string running back.
  9. Step outside your Bills hat for a moment and take a look from outside that bubble. If I'm a football writer looking at 32 teams, clearly the Bills had the worst offseason. The football writers of world believe the Bills two biggest short comings are Quarterback and Left Tackle. Neither position was adequately addressed in the offseason from their perspective. Levi Brown and Wang could become solid players, but it ain't happening this year or next year. However... my understanding is that no team has ever, ever, ever won a game or made the playoffs in any offseason. So, we'll just have to wait and see what unfolds. I don't blame anyone for casting doubt on this team. It has sucked for a decade. Hopefully, with a fresh set of eyes from a GM, coach, and player personnel director, there may be an actual building plan in place that works. In Sept., when the live bullets fly, I'll set back @ 1pm each Sun., flip on the TV, see what happens and draw my own conclusions. Until then... I ain't buying what they're selling. They'll need to prove it to me before I buy another ticket to a game.
  10. Well, I guess the sportwriters are OK with athletes using banned substances. In fact, the revote is a defacto endorsement of banned substances by the sports writers. I think it's sends a bad message to the athletes that are now in high school and college.
  11. With Schobel it comes down to three things I believe. 1) Being with his family and not have to uproot them. 2) Playing on a team that actually has a good shot of going deep in the playoffs. 3) Does he believe he can compete and contribute at a level he can live with. Based on comments he's made in the past couple of years, I'd be extremely surprised if he doesn't retire. The only thing that I see being a little in his favor is that the Bills play all 1pm games, which means he would be home for dinner every Monday night and fly back to Buffalo on Tuesday night in time for Wed. practice.
  12. With the sports writers casting their "re-vote" for Def. R.O.Y. it's time to walk your talk or STFU for good on the topic of illegal substances and the players. If Cushing is the top voter again, now that we all know his performance was enhanced with an illegal substance, the writers can no longer, in good conscience, ever, ever, ever write columns/blogs in a negative context about the use of illegal substances by a player. Basically, awarding a player an honor, knowing that the player won that award while under the influence of a banned substance, the writer is not only rewarding the player for consuming the banned substance, he is giving his endorsement to the use of illegal subtances in sports. The Bills fan in me would like the honor to go to Byrd. However, in this case, I can live with whomever wins the award, as long as it is not a player that has consumed banned substances.
  13. Last line of the article sums all this bullschitt up. "the Ravens haven't initiated trade talks, nor received any offers tempting enough to move Gaither. As for the trade rumors, The Buffalo News reported Saturday that the Bills are being mentioned as the team most likely to land the former fifth-round draft pick." Rumor and speculation by absolutely no one with any credibility. It seems whenever a young, barely adequate LT, hits free agency (restricted or unrestricted), they are over valued by their agent... who is probably the one behind the rumors. His player can't be moved or marketed on merit... so he has to revert to the old smoke and mirror crap. Thank God the Bills ain't stupid enough to even engage in conversation about aquiring this lazy bastard.
  14. Suffice to say that the offenses of the Jauron era were clearly of the high school caliber. Gailey is the first real offensive mind the Bills have had since Ted Marchibroda (I'd count Henning in the late 90s, but he was handcuffed due to the lack of personnel). So, what Gailey brings alone should move this team 10-12 notches in offensive ranking. I believe that if surrounded by the right coaching, Both Fitz and Edwards are serviceable. Brohm will have to prove he can play because I doubt the Bills are going to sit Brown on the PS... I think they want him wearing a headset and clutching a clipboard every Sunday.
  15. Let's stop the Gaither nonsense now and get real. Gaither's agent (Roszenhozer) wants top 5 LT coin. Uh, that's $8m/anum. Remind me again why the Bills didn't give that kind of money to their pro bowl tackle, and instead dispatched him to Philly for draft picks? Take a look at the Bills building model... they are building through the draft. They only brought in Cornell Green as a one year insurance policy, if that. Of their draft picks and rookie free agents, there may be a dozen players that make the final 53 and another two or three that make the practice squad. That's 25% of roster & PS combined. So, the Bills ain't gonna give up draft picks to acuire a player that the Ravens thought so highly of that they drafted his replacement, and then pay him $8m/year. That alone takes them off course to build through the draft. If Gaither were a superstar it would be different... but he's not even close to that. Furthermore, if they are high on Bell and Wang, why would they stifle their development by bringing in a lazy bastard like Gaither to take reps away from them. It just doesn't make sense.
  16. OK... and just where is that? And how many millions would need to sunk into building a stadium? Hmmm... a new owner would need to pony up at least $900 million to buy the Bills, and then sink at least that kind of coin to build a "state of the art" or "cutting edge" playground. Yeah... let's see if we can get Goldman Sachs or Citi Bank to write that loan... and see if Marsh would float that bond. Ain't gonna F'in happen folks.
  17. Time to bring you guys back into the realm of reality. Gaither is a lazy bastard. The Ravens thought enough of him to draft Oher, with all intentions of replacing Gaither at LT. Then, prior to the draft, the Ravens openly have a 'for sale' sign on this lazy bastard , and later say they were just trying trying to jump start the afore mentioned lazy bastard, because he's a lazy bastard. Then, the Ravens claim he got the message that they think he's a lazy bastard, and now he's no longer a lazy bastard. Thank you Jesus. Why would the Bills waste any pick, let alone a 2nd on this lazy bastard. He's going to want left tackle money. Hmmm... I think the Bills just went through a similar situation with a left tackle that was already under contract. Plus we already went through a lazy bastard in Mike Williams. Be careful what you wish for. Lately, Maryland has been churning out lazy bastards... far from filling their potential... Vernon Davis, Darius Heyward-Bay, Jared Gaither, and now Bruce Campbell. The Bills FO is smarter than this.... I hope.
  18. Jamarcus Russel has been released by the Raiders... He's pocketed $39 million Al Davis bucks and he didn't earn a penny. You can bet the owners are going to make Russel exhibit "A" now in their negotiations with the players association.
  19. I think you're getting it. Jauron wanted a JV offense... and he had the clowns to deliver one too... Fairchild, Schonert, and VanPelt.
  20. I think what the dude is saying is, he's still a fan... the Bills are his team. But, because they've sucked so bad for so long, he really hasn't received value for his investment in time, phsyche, emmotional capital, and hard earned money. So, before investing further in the Bills, he chooses to sit back and see how the Bills have invested in him first. I call it common sense.
  21. We might not all agree on Trent... but, one thing I think we can all agree on is we had a head coach whose only use is as a career defensive back coach. It starts and ends there. To exacerbate the situation, you had an OC that really doesn't belong on the pro level (at least not yet) coaching any position. Add to that the offensive line issues, and it's the perfect storm. Aside from the Tampa game and the Colt's lay down game, Fitz didn't do much either. And, with Brohm, we don't have enough evidence to convict or aquit. In reality, this is Edwards first crack with any real pro level offensive mind at his disposal, and probably his last chance to be be a starting QB in the NFL. I don't know how it's going tho shake out... and I really don't care. There are four QBs going to camp, none of which I'm a "fanboy" of. But, one of them will be rubbing Hangrtner's ass on opening day. If it's Edwards, so be it. If not, so be it. I think he deserves a shot with the new staff just as much as the other three. If he shoots himself in the foot... so what. He won't have anyone left to blame but himself.
  22. Just a quick question... I know somone who wanted 4 season tix on the first level between the 30 yd. lines and was told there were none available... and I assume that included club seats... or are they different?
  23. Dude... if you're familiar with me, you know I'm all about reality. There are 3 tight ends in the NFL universe that are 235 lbs. or under... Schouman, at 223 lbs. is the smallest tight end in the league. In 3 years he's played in 21 games and manage to catch 27 passes and only one TD. Do 250 lb. TEs get hurt? You betcha. But 223 lb. TEs have no chance.... they'll get busted up. That's reality. DEs run 250-310 and OLBs run 235-275. Schouman is going to lose that blocking matchup 95% of the time or more. So, if Shouman remains at TE and sees any significant playing time at that positon, he will be injured again this year and out for a lengthy period, if not, the season. I'm not being a jerk about this because I hate to see any player injured, mid sized vehicles colliding with full size trucks are no match. Thus... my original post and question, that seems totally avoided or lost in all of the conversation, is whether or not the Bills (knowing that he won't hold up at TE @223 lbs.) have plans to move him outside to WR, and if so, can he make an impact there.
  24. bingo! the bills gambled in the last 4 drafts and look where it has gotten them.... bust after bust after bust. I'd rather have a TE that stays healthy and make a marginal contribution thtn one that makes a moderate impact but only shows up once and a while cuz he's always injured. It's a waste of money and roster space. Bills haven't had a 16 game starting TE for a few years... unless you count Royal... for maybe two years.
  25. But... at 223 lbs. Schouman won't be a TE for more than 3 games before he's done.... he can't play TE in this league at that weight... period... and he's already proven that. Adding 10 to 15 lbs. to his frame won't get it done either. Thus... my initial question, do the Bills plan to move him outside? Would he still be TE's favorite targets on the outside?
