  1. Don't worry guys. If you are bummed about The Bills not getting Thad Gibson, just wait. The Jets will cut Vernon Gholston after the season. Really, other than the differences in their salaries, there ain't a dime's difference between the two.
  2. Ya. Somehow, I think if Poz can start making those tackles about 12 yards closer to the line of scrimmage it might "cut it". If I'm Buddy... I ain't even considering making Poz a qualifying offer after the season. We need real linebackers that enjoy punishing the opposition and inflicting pain. And to think, he filled Fletcher's roster spot. Wow... Bills sure whiffed badly on that one.... regressed by about 3 or for rungs on the performance ladder.
  3. Somewhere a village is missing its idiot.
  4. Ever heard of "denial"? Need to accept the fact that "Maybe" can't play on this level... unless it's at ball boy. He won't even be on an NFL roster after this season. If Maybin had been a 4th or 5th round pick, he'd have been gone by now. The only reason the Bills are even holding on to him is because of their investment as the 11th pick. If he were worth a flying crap at all, he'd have shown some "flashes" by now. And, I don't mean "flashing" by an OT 10 yards beyond the QB. There is just nothing there to indicate he can play... even on special teams. Accept the fact that he does not want to play this game. He does not have the toughness nor interest. When Maybin was inactive on Sunday, that wasn't a message. That was his ticket out of town being punched.
  5. "DEFENSIVE FRONT"? They are a "front" for something, but it sure ain't defensive. Can this defense hold any team to under 30? Maybe in a blizzard with 40 mile per hour winds.
  6. Never felt so good about a loss? That's exactly what the Bills biggest problem is. Like you, they accept losing... and even feel good about it. When you have players that hate to lose they find ways to win. When you have players that are OK with losing, they have no reason (or will) to win. The game check is still the same.
  7. Okla City and Memphis. Durant to the Knicks
  8. No. But we have alot of players that need to be "expended"
  9. Very troo. However, what in the world would make you think the Bills want to improve things? Most of the replies to this post are for acquiring the lazy, unmotivaterd slob. Gaither is exactly the type of player they like and will over pay for. Mediocre at best, and no upside (the Bills have too many players like that already). All the koolaid drinkers will think the Bills actually did something to improve the team, when all they did was bring in another "I've heard of him" player like Torbor, Stroud, Kendall Simmons, Adell. They don't do schitt to help the team win. Bottom line is that Ralph doesn't give 2 schittz about making this team a winner. If he did, he'd stop meddling and hand the team over to a real GM, Scouting Dept., and HC. This team will never again win as many as 8 games in Ralph's lifetime. He won't allow it.
  10. Agree. Extending Kelsay was dumb. Had the Bills let his contract expire, their ain't no team dumb enough to sign Kelsay at what he's being paid now. Granted, he does have value at DE in a 4-3, and some team might be dumb enough to sign him for $3M, which I believe would be about $725K too much. Not a good decision
  11. Actually, you made my point... Newton and Pryor are not NFL QBs... will both suck hind tit at QB in the NFL. Even you admit that. WR? Total speculation and more hope than anything. They ain't gonna get large coin for starting out at WR in the NFL... they'll have to earn it. I doubt big DI top 20 hot shots like Newton and Pryor are gonna want to take the long road instead of the express lane. And, Brad Smith doesn't even start. He's like the Jets 4th receiver. He's a gimmick player that only upper echelon teams can afford to keep on their roster.
  12. Thank you. When dip schitts can't argue something they play the race card.... every time. Cam Newton, Fig Newton... whatever. Those types of QBs, as you suggest, will suck nuts in the NFL. Their value is their athlectic ability and that ability has gotten them to DI football where their coaches use those skills to their advantage and don't develop them beyond that for the next level. In the NFL, You run, you get hit. Hits add up. You better be able to read defenses, manage a game, thread the needle in small windows, and be able to lead.
  13. Brilliant!!! JaMarcus Jr.
  14. I think that one sentence speaks volumes. No team wants players from such a lousy organization. Really, the only players they have to offer up are McGee, Kelsay (DE), and Evans. They all make over $5M. No team wants to take on their salaries... unless they believe one of these players is clearly the difference in them going deep into the playoffs or not. McGee is not a lockdown corner. Kelsay does not produce sacks. Evans can't do schitt without a QB to throw to him. The good QBs around the league have their receivers.... except maybe Rivers.... and SD & BUFF are unlikely trade partners. It also speaks volumes that only one minor trade was made yesterday between KC and TB. The teams aren't motivated. The compensation for what they give up is sub par. They are standing pat.
  15. The Bills are the Raiders East. Except the Raiders have actually won a couple of games.
  16. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.
  17. Uh, dude... the Bills gave up a 4th rd.pick for Stroud three years ago when he was "relavant". Three years later he is a member of the the worst defense in football and part of perhaps the worst front seven in Bills history. You mention drat picks? That suggests more than one. I can't, in my wildest dream, see the Bills getting even a low 7th rounder for Stroud. Now, please convince all of us... what NFL team would ring Buddy Nix's phone and tell him they are interested in acquiring Marcus Stroud? And, if you were a half coherent GM making that call to Buddy, what would you offer up as compensation? Keep in mind, the team which acquires Stroud has to pony up about $5m/yr. in salary. If some GM made a deal for Stroud, he'd sure have a lot of 'splainin' to do
  18. Why could the Pats use Jackson? They just acquired Branch to compensate for moving Moss. Why would they move Mankins? They could really use him now that Kaczur just went down with a season ending injury.
  19. To me it's a clear indication that the Bills FO and coaching staff clearly have their heads up their asses. One of the first decisions that was made in the post season earlier this year was to move to the 3-4. OK, fine. Their decision was to convert the then currently 4-3 guys and bring in a few 3-4 guys. Going to the 3-4 and not even considering brining in a viable nose tackle is even clear evidence that the FO and coaching staff don't have a clue. I said it then, and, I'll say it again... Kyle Williams cannot and will not hold up at NT in this league. He would be a great back up in the 3-4, that's it. The heart and soul of a 3-4 is the NT. You ain't got one, it's gonna be a long season. They also knew Schobel wasn't coming back. They put too much faith in two low round draft picks... Batten and Moats, and way too much faith in Carrington and Troup. If the latter two are marginally worth a $chitt, why ain't they playing? Could it possibly be because they FO is afraid that they may have whiffed again on draft picks? This defense already sucks so bad that anyone you play can't make this defense suck much worse. So... switching back to a 3-4 at this juncture, you will not see a significant difference. The front seven still sucks and there is not one player on this team that can rush the passer. What would I do? This season is lost. Luck may win ya two games. I'd stick with the 3-4. Let the young guys get experience now. You're gonna have to evaluate whether or not they can play at the end of the season anyway. At least you'd have plenty of video footage. The old dawgs ain't gonna be part of this team next year anyway. Get rid of Stroud (waste of $4-5m) and put in Carrington and let Kelsay spell him ($6m for a backup... that was stupid). Start Troup at NT and let Williams spell him on passing downs. Put either Moats or Coleman at OLB. Get rid of Maybin (cut your losses and move on). Move Posluzney to the other OLB position and replace him on the inside with Torbor. I know, I get it, this lineup will suck.... But, so will the current lineup regardless of the 3-4 or 4-3. We're no longer playing for this year... this season is over. We are playing for next season and beyond.
  20. No... it's not Kelsay'sextension, it's why he was given the extension. Buddy Nix came right out and said it was because of his value in the locker room. Well, based on that statement, and the fact that Kelsay is a team captain, you would expect that he would be the guy on the soap box. Nix's BS about Kelsay being a great locker room guy is pure front office spin for not being able to justify handing him another $6m/yr. Fans can adequately measure his on field performance and come to their own conclusion. However, the fans can't measure his performance in the locker room. Only the FO, coaches and players can observe that.
  21. who knows what the Bills would be able to get. Depends on how badly a team wants him and what they're willing to give up. I do know this. The Bills are gonna suck hind tit for at least two more years. I think Evans contract would be up by then and I doubt he'd re-up, or, even if the Bills would consider re-signing him for more money than he makes now. Bottom line... Bills are going nowhere and Evans' talents are wasted on this team. Him being, or not being with the Bills will not make a difference... the Bills will suck regardless. He could be of serious value to a real QB. I say Houston might be a soft landing. Atlanta, perhaps? Chargers? Ravens? Hey... Pats gave up a 4th to get Branch back and Vikes a 3rd for Moss. I'd hope for a #2
  22. Nah.... givin him the business would be holding him down and smacking him like Marty Lyons did to Jim Kelly
  23. This only happens when the Bills suck and the season ticket holders put their tickets out for sale and end up getting five bucks apiece. What do you expect, the less than fortunate, and a bunch of lazy unemployed slobs can now afford to go to a game, crash a tailgate or two, three, four, and get bombed for free. And they say this country is going to hell.
  24. What I want to know is... if there is a lockout, does that mean the Bills will have two number one picks (that they'll probably trade), #1 in 2011 draft and #1 in 2012 draft by default because of the lack of a 2011 season? Or will they still have a season and load the roster with castoffs from Arena, new USFL, Canada. And if they did fill out their rosters like that, wouldn't be a hoot if they played out the season and the Bills ended up Super Bowl Champs??? Could there be an ounce of reality in " The Replacements"? Wonder if those rings would be brass or gold?
