  1. What job is that? Another 4-12 season? If they had just half a gonad they'd have sent Maybin and McCargo to the curb a long time ago. What a waste of roster spots.
  2. If there's a rookie salary cap put in place and it is way less money than the past few years, wouldn't the teams "reach" and gamble more on a player in the draft because the cap hit won't sting nearly as much? Hey... if you're thinking risk/reward, the risk is way down from where it was. You might be able to take a chance on a Cam Newton at #1... or even a Fig Newton.
  3. Anyone taken at #3 better be starting... and producing.
  4. He's not the next Steve McNair or Donovan McNabb or Michael Vick? Not even Vince Young or Duante Culpepper or David Garrard?
  5. Good question. A FA knows the situation in Miami is unsettled. If you're a defensive FA, now you know the Bills are gonna be a hybrid 34/43. Know any good free agent that wants to be part of that? Maybe the "B" and "C" list free agents, because they know Ralph will overpay them (cuz the A listers blow him off) and the fans will think they've made a great pick up and the holes are filled.
  6. Yeah, I'm wondering that too. Apparently, just because the media has tagged him as a hot ticket, the guy is full of himself. Meanwhile, it would not surprise me that he says zero to the media and stays at Stanford.
  7. Really, it's smart. They are spinning their wheels with Sparano. They know that. Also, they know they need a QB. So, now Sparano is a lame duck. His coaching staff knows that and they are going to start bailing one by one. It's going to be tough for him to assemble a staff now (just as it was for John Fox), knowing that the job is only for a year. So, now you are looking at a team that's gonna suck and could be a viable candidate for the number one pick next year, AKA Andrew Luck.
  8. The key consideration is that the needs as described are those of TODAY... irrespective of 3 really important factors... 1) what the three teams will do in free agency 2) the fact two of the three teams have no head coach and coaching staff in place. A coaching phylosophy will dicate, to a great degree, what players are drafted. 3) the scouting combine is over a month away and none of the allstar games have yet been played. Every year a few players jump out, a few players are naughty, or new things discovered... dropping players out of top ten or first round altogether... case in point Claussen last year. He was in just about everyone's top 15. Who is to say Denver will stay with the 3-4? There defense was as similarly as bad as the Bills, and they had a weaker schedule. So, building a defense on what foundation? Really nothing, just like the Bills. Who is to Carolina is to stay with a 4-3? If Cowher were to be the coach there, I'll guarantee you it will be a 3-4. Gailey says the Bills are going to continue to run a hybrid with multiple fronts. They don't have the personel for the 3-4 nor the 4-3 now. So what are they... not a 3-4, not a 4-3? So, exactly why does it matter what DL they select? So, not to knock your hard work and research. You based it on what's happening right now. Any mock draft done before the allstar games, combine, underclassmen declaring, and Free Agency is futile and worthless.
  9. It's everyone else's fault except Poz's. He was always lined up where the coaches told him to. He can't help it if a DL didn't stop the RB and the RB then trampled him.
  10. Absolutely. I can guarantee you with 100% certainty that the Bills are putting together a package that includes their 1st pick for Tom Brady, Jarod Mayo, Vince Wilfork, Rob Gronkowski, and Brandon Merriwether
  11. Ryan Harris would essentially the Bills lightest OL @6'5" 300. Don't know about you, but I like my RTs around 320 and "not" from Notre Dame. RT? Think dirty, nasty, smelly, ugly, and extremely physical. I mean, what DE would want to line up accross that kind of dude for more than a few plays. Would it be illegal to apply a little skunk spray to the Bills offensive linemen before the game?
  12. Dude... stop being a straight shooter. That pisses people off on the board. The rose colored glasses and koolaid croud want Bermuda, not Siberia.
  13. Given that a Bills first pick really hasn't made much of an impact since Lee Evans (Wood was the Bills 2nd 1st rd. pick via trade). The bigger question is this...no matter who the Bills pick, will that player make an immediate impact. Will he be a playmaker and difference maker right out of the gate? I don't care if it is a CB, S, LB, LT... he has to step right in and be worthy of the number three selection. The single biggest weakness the Bills have is their inability to stop the run. If they're serious about making a 180 on that, somewhere in round two or three they will hand in a card with either Phil Taylor's name or Kenrick Ellis' name (or even both). If the Bills fail to bring in a fat slob NT out of the incoming rookie crop, we will see more of the same... maybe worse against the run. Buddy better take a quick trip down memory lane and remember what Jerome Williams meant to the Chargers, Casey Hampton to the Steelers, Kris Jenkins to the Jets, Vince Wilfork to the Pats. In the 3-4, it all begins at NT and Kyle Williams is not one.
  14. Yes I am... and I get invited to a lot of em. When's your next one?
  15. RIGHT ON RUSS BRANDON. I THINK YOUR SEASON TICKET SALES WILL HIT CLOSE TO 62,000. PLEASE GIVE MR. WILSON MY PERSONAL THANK YOU FOR A CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON IN 2011.
  16. Dude, yeah... it does. His overall 2010 grade, run (about average) and pass (about horrid) is not anywhere near the kind of performance a winning team can tolerate. But, wait... the Bills are not a winning team, so, I guess he fits in perfectly. If you want to win, run and pass blocking must be above average from a LT.... and he must excel at one of those two.
  17. So, when will the Bills realize they gotta stop drafting schleps like Whitner, Poz, McKelvin, and Maybin with high Picks?
  18. 1) What if Denver selects the same player the Bills want? 2) How is paying less a benefit? That just eases Ralph's pain a bit. Why would you want Ralph to have to pay less 3) Yeah, but that means the Bills select 5th in the 3rd and instead of drafing the 69th best player on the board, they will gamble because of the upside of the 143rd best player on the board.
  19. Denver will select Dalton at #2
  20. A college education is the single most over priced thing in this country. So, of course, I'd rather see the colleges cut their tuition by 75% and price a college education were it should be priced.
  21. Hell yeah... there's a bunch that think he will. But, I ain't one of them. I would rather the Bills insert a tackle at the TE position.
  22. Because, the King has not yet summoned his court (Buddy, Brandon, Gailey) to his Miami castle for Wii golf, tea & crumpets, and their annual season end meeting and ass chewing. Ralph's first question is always "can we beat Miami"? If the answer is yes, then it's "all good".
  23. Ah, yes... the TE version of Donte Whitner. They both think a lot of themselves, but on the gridiron, neither has done much, if anything. And neither is a big playmaker. And, franchising Scaife? WTF were the Titans thinking? I have a mental image of the top 10 -12 TEs in the NFL. You know what, I never gave Scaife a thought. He just didn't strike me as a Tony Gonzales, Dallas Clark, Marcedes Lewis, Antonio Gates type. That said, The Bills will sign him and pay more for him than he's worth. We will all now be able to move on and forget Robert Royal.
