Torbor calls the meeting and is the only one to speak? WTF? I thought Nix re-upped Kelsay because he was such a locker room presence. Jeezus... 6m for a locker room guy? Nix must mean he sets a good example for all the other players for what he's trying to build... just keep your trap shut, don't B word, everything is good, and when Ralph tells you to fetch him a cup of coffee do it and do it quickly. And Whitner? WTF? He didn't have anything to say? That dude can't keep his mouth shut. Torbor must have shoved both of his sockes in Whitners's pie hole.

Yes. QB is top priority. Translation... in the 5th round, Bills select Case Keenum, quarterback, University of Houston. The Bills empire is safe... we will have our franchise QB.

A horrendous Bills peformance. I hope you didn't pay for the tickets.

Time frame for a turnaround?
Dr. Trooth replied to Bills fan in TX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Turnaround? Not as long as Ralph owns the team. This is as good as it gets. Enjoy. -
Fans with bags on their heads at the Ralph

soon the "two man" wave will be back. -
Let's suppose the Bils go 0-16 and have the 1st pick. No way in hell Bills use that pick to draft a player. They trade it, and here's why. The biggest reason they trade out of it is because... Ralph ain't going to pony up $30M in guaranteed money to an unproven player... especially given the Bills track record of drafting over the past 10 years. Reason #2 is because they need so many players. This team is so bad the NFL could give them five picks in the top 15 of the 2011 draft and the Bills would still end up drafting in the top five in 2012. I thought today's attendance would be 53,000 or less. Well, there must 5,000 fans into self flagellation, cuz just watching this team on TV or listening on the radio is sadistic torture. When the Bills are winless at Christmas, will that be enough to send attendance to an all time low, or will that happen sooner?

So what does the NFL do after the 2011 strike?
Dr. Trooth replied to DC Grid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Their plan is to have "virtual" games. It will kind of be like a Madden type of game on steroids. You will tune in each week and the computers at Fox, NBC, CBS, and ESPN will control the game. Their secondary is to have throwback seaosn. Each NFL vensue will get to see their team each week in their halcion days. -
Does anyone see this about Lynch
Dr. Trooth replied to Logical Reasoning's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
MARSHAWN = NOT A VERY INSTINCTIVE RUNNER. Has all the physical tools. He just doesn't know when, where to run. -
I think we get it that they have to tear down. However, why begin tearing down now? The tearing apart should have happened immediately. Edwards, Marshawn should have been dispatched. They even should have considered dangling Evans, Kelsay, Mitchell because these guys ain't goint to be here three years from now if the plan is to put together a playoff team by then. The fans could accept that and embrace a young team that progresses incrementally, even if it meant getting top 5 picks for the next three years. The crap they're doing now is just indicative of the confusion and incompetence at OBD. The only plan at OBD is to fill a roster... and as cheaply as possible. The thing that I don't get is why they pay the money for the front office when you can train a few monkeys to come in and do what they're doing for a hell of a lot less money. What next... maybe outsource their front office to India or China?

The Bils got something outa the likes of Tuttle, Moulds, Patulski, Dokes, Gant, Williams the first couple of years... a couple TDs, kickoff returns, a few sacks, pancakes. Erik Flowers gave nothing, but he was like the 26th or 28th pick in the first round on a team that had two very established DEs (Hanson,Wiley), so they could afford to take a high risk, high reward gamble at that slot. In Maybin's case, it's just a flat out stupid pick. No other draft pick, that I can remember, started in college for a scant 1 and 1/2 seasons and yet got selected as high as #11. He's a huge bust and a perfect example of the ineptitude at OBD. They got a roster spot open... presumably one that will be filled by Shawn Nelson. They should clear out another spot by outright releasing Maybin and bringing in a player that will at least give them something in return. Maybin will not develop... ever. If he was gonna, he'd have shown flashes by now. The only flashes I see of him are sandwich meat between the turf and an opponent.

The Owner Of My Company Was Fired

Dude... How can the "owner" of a company get fired... unless he fires himself? -
12000 tickets available for Sundays game
Dr. Trooth replied to CodeMonkey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for the heads up. I'll either watch some other game that's on, watch leaves fall, watch water evaporate, or maybe even three stooges reruns. This team is pathetic and not worthy of anyone's time. -
K.Williams - most under rated player in the NFL
Dr. Trooth replied to High Mark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OK... yeah, he's underrated. Yeah, he leaves it all out there. He's a blue collar guy and ya gotta love him. Is he the best option at NT? Yeah, right now. But, he's a starting NT on the worst defense in the NFL... and probably one of the worst ever. He's no better than a good back up at NT on a good team. Benchmark him against a Pat Williams or Ted Washington in their prime. He ain't even in their league. I dare say there aren't more than four players on this team that would start on any other NFL team and I'd be 'spot on'... and two of the four I have in mind are the punter and kicker. Kyle Williams ain't one of the other two. -
Billick & Martz or Marty & Son - both were interested
Dr. Trooth replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's ridiculous and futile to even bring up who the Bills could have hired. There is absolutely zero chance that Ralph will ever hire a high profile GM or coach. The reason is, they know way the hell more than Ralph does about football & personnel. Ralph is threatened by that. He does not want his GM or coach telling him something he does not want to hear. And, he doesn't like strong leader types because they won't tolerate his meddling and the many snitches that he has in every corner of OBD. This is well known within the NFL. Ralph is Al Davis east. Only lap dogs work for Ralph, like Brandon, Littman, Berchtold, and Overdorf. So, no highly respected and competent GM or coach is even going to even consider any offer he makes. Out of courtesy and respect, they may listen to him, but no way will they ever condsider working for him. Not only that, he is 91. Time is not on his side. Any GM HC worth his salt won't roll the dice that he'll be around in even a year from now and know the team will be sold and a huge purge will ensue. It just ain't worth it. If Ralph really wanted to do Buffalo a favor, he'd sell the team now. He doesn't, so end of story. -
Phil Hanson over Chris Kelsey Any Day !
Dr. Trooth replied to I hate the Bills !'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
can't argue that one. kelsay ain't even in his league -
What can we do? Let me ask you this... If you have been going to a restaurant for dinner the past several years and were relatively content. Then you get served schittie food for a few years and they conitinually tell you they're going to get better, and then serve really really schittie food after that. At what point do you admit to yourself that you're being played and realize things ain't going to better as long as that restaurant is un der the same ownership? STOP GOING TO THE !@#$ GAMES. PUT YOUR TIX ON STUB HUB AND HOPE YOU CAN GET 10 CENTS ON THE DOLLAR. IF YOU MUST, EITHER LISTEN ON THE RADIO, WATCH THE GAME ON TV, OR FOLLOW THE GAME LOG ON ESPN.COM[/size}]

Can the owners (or at least Ralph) lock out the players beginning tomorrow? No football is better than this garbage. By the way, Ralph... what did we do to deserve this sad excuse for a team?
-
George Edwards is totally lost and way in over his head. That starts with the FO. First they hire a GM with no GM experience. He hires Chan Gailey as HC. OK, I get that. Gailey does have HC experience on the collegiate and pro level. But, then Gailey hires a DC with no DC experience. If you're serious about winning you go after a guy that has had some measure of success as a DC at the pro level. He did not do that, so he has no one to blame but himself. And, Nix did not discourage or prevent him from hiring an experienced DC, nor did Ralph Wilson. So, both Raplh and Nix are complicite in where we are today with this sad excuse of a football team. I thought the last couple of years were bad... this is takeing three steps backwards from last year.

Hey Gailey, put Jackson back in...end of story!
Dr. Trooth replied to reginald's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gailey's too busy following marching orders from Nix to showcase Lynch... for what amounts to probably a conditional 5th. Gailey could take a lot of heat off himself by just feeding Jackson the ball. He's the Bills best player. I'd say Evans was their best playeer, but he's worthless if he has no QB. -
1) Hires Gailey 2) Keeps Edwards 3) keeps Maybin 4) Signs "B" Free agent Dwan Edwards 5) Signs "D" Free agent Cornell Green 6) Doesn't address QB problem in the off season 7) Doesn't address LT in the offseason 8) Only one draft pick making any contribution at all 9) Extends Kelsay... at $6m per... totally dumb. Kelsay's an OK player, but I wouldn't pay him a penny over 2.75m... just ain't worth it. I can't think of anything he's done that has made this team better. If anything, it's worse. Hell... I can't believe if Marty Schottenheimer were coach that the defense would be this bad.
-
I think Chan just put Edwards on the hot seat!
Dr. Trooth replied to Lenigmusx's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, ain't that what a DC does???? Schemes and adjustments? You can't get lit up for 34-38-38 the last three games and not put the blame squarley on the shoulders of the DC. -
I'm setting it at 53,000 (attendance), Hey... only 16,000 less than against the Jets. Very doable. Good day to rake leaves, pick apples, watch real NFL teams play on TV, bird watching, play golf, wash/wax the car, clean out the garage, get the snowblower ready. THe possibilities are endless.

Haven't seen anything worse? Butler retires Schobel retires Marshawn wants out And... if you were Lee Evans, would you want to be a Bill?
-
I agree. It's time to put up or shut up. If I had season tickets (I'm not that stupid)... 1) I would be too embarrassed to admit it 2) I'd burn them 3) Mr. Wilson should be indicted for gend theft for ripping off the fans Buffalo may have a team in the NFL, but they sure as hell don't have an NFL quality team. They are not only an embarrassment to Buffalo and Western New York, they are an embarrassment to professional football. If I were the commissioner I'd fine the Bills for "conduct detrimental to the league". Pay for tickets to bear witness to crap? They ought to pay fans to watch such trash.
