  1. Because suggesting we look at a free agent Guard after a change in scheme is comparable to suggesting we sign a QB who thrived under a coach who quit on us.. Maybe he is shot and it's a moot
  2. My apologies if this was discussed recently, haven't logged in a while and searched to make sure it wasn't discussed. Moderator you can delete if this is the case
  3. I don't love him, just thinking of a way to improve the line without investing 7 or 8m on a top free agent. I think he would be an upgrade over Urbik or Pears and would be comparable in cost. It's the offseason, just throwing stuff out there to discuss until we have some actual news to talk about
  4. Anyone think enough time has passed to try to sign Incognito to shore up the Guard spot. He was a good blocker and would fit in a ground and pound offense with his attitude. I think he would come for a cheaper price than others with his skill level. Maybe enough time has passed to forgive his last mess up. Thoughts....
  5. A couple of opinions: * Bulldog can't complete a sentence without stuttering, it is a joke that he is on radio. He can't even read the question on match game, it is brutal. * Riter's undoing will be his unwillingness to step aside and focus on being a PD. He has stated he has no intention of stepping away from the microphone. His ego will cloud his judgment. He will protect his own spot and not hire anyone who is a threat. Absolute power is never a good thing especially with an on-air talent. He clearly enjoys being the head person and surronds himself with followers. He wants us to support his local station, yet he won't take any local calls or rarely does because we listen for his opinion. Please stop referring to his 20 minute rant as a manifesto, Riter stuggles as bad as Bulldog with the stammering, very unpolished as a talker. I hope for his sake it was not written because he stammered through the majority of it. * Mendola has potential and actually comes across as a likeable personality. Hate when he sings but his craft beer show is good. * Howard Simon needs to take time off because his voice is annoying right now, I have no clue why Jeremy White doesn't handle more of the hosting duties while Howard's voice is going through puberty. Bush league * Mitch Hedberg was great, you should look up his material if you never seen him perform. Don't bother if you think Dane Cook or Carlos Mencia are funny.
  6. Leonidas is Baby Joe Mesi, hates TG. Suprised someone who comes to a messageboard would get offended, it's the nature of the beast. TG should be careful to not alienate Buffalo fans, I'm sure we provide him with the hits on his blog to keep his nice job at the ESPN
  7. I apologize if he is a friend and I offended you, I make the comparison because Nick is not attempting to be a "sportstalker" with his parodies. He is not strictly a sports talk guy and he trys to do comedy bits, which I find to be lacking. So, in this context making a comparison to someone who is highly successful in radio would be valid.
  8. Ohhhh, you got me!! Jimmy Traina is not known for his comedic knowledge. Actually he is mostly unknown with the exception of diehards like yourself. I bet if you walked up to ten people on the street and asked them who Jimmy Traina was they would have no clue. Most jocks or sports guys aren't known for being great comedians. I challenge you to listen to Howard Stern and compare Nick's songs to theirs. To each their own, I just find his sense of humor to be predictable and corny but like I stated in my original post, many people adore that stuff, hence the popularity of Dane Cook and Nickelback
  9. What great commentary, Jimmy Clausen seems like a snot-nosed punk. Great observation! Now write a ten minute song parody on it that most people who have never heard good radio will adore.
  10. Add Puff and you have the most annoying broadcast team ever assembled.
  11. Not really a valid point in my opinion. Losman never won the Heisman, never won a National Championship, never played for an elite program in the top division. Losmas was questioned for his leadership abilities even in college. I will agree that Losman embraced Buffalo but he is comparable to Tebow atleast on the collegiate level.
  12. A great prospect is subjective. If you are looking for a QB who has a track record of winning and being a leader than Tebow would be a nice prospect. If you are looking a QB with a flawless delivery than there are a lot better options. It's all in the eye of the beholder. Is he the best? I don't know but it's my opinion that he would give his all to this City and be proud to be a Buffalo Bill. I would like to be able to root for someone like him for a change instead of the Big Ben's and Vick's of the world. I think there are a lot of people out there like me, who just want to believe that sometimes the good guy can win. I know there also are a lot of people who would love to see him fail. I just think it would be nice to see him prove the detractors wrong and do it being a Buffalo Bill.
  13. No, it proves that while Polian is a very talented evaluator he is not perfect. Time will tell if he is right on Tebow but you can not say with certainity that Tebow will not be a franchise quarterback before he has even taken one snap.
  14. Polian thought enough of Painter to draft him and how did that turn out?
  15. The last sentence implies that in boxing or mma that once a fighter is hit he reverts back to what he was in the past. While true with a fighter who has a pea sized heart, I don't agree with technique. Do you watch boxing or mma? I can rattle off a list of fighters who have evolved and changed their game and have won championships. Pacquio is an example of a fighter who really changed his fighting style and is pound for pound one of the better fighters after training with Freddie Roach. Ali use to change his style on a fight by fight basis. People can retrain themselves to do tasks with their opposite hand after accidents, what makes you think that he can't train himself to hold the ball higher and not loop his throws? To me, it seems that it is possible and he clearly has the will to put the effort in. Now is he worth a first or second rounder knowing that he is a work in progress? I wouldnt draft him at 9. Hope we get him in the second or third.
