On a good note though.... the Bills don't need a punt catcher. -

The Raven's gave us the blueprint, we ignored it.

The best prescription for a team that needs a "W" badly is to face the Bills. Instant cure. -

Is it the Coach or Players: Measuring a Coach
Dr. Trooth replied to rcatty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A real coach benches players for non performance. The Bills D has not played well in 3 of 4 games... and really bad in two of their divisional games. If the same 11 guys continue to play, the defense is gonna continue to suck. I don't give a damn if Mario is the highest paid defender in the league. He's not playing up to expectations and needs to be put on notice. If Sheppard can'r stop the run or is a liabiltiy in coverage, he should be jettisoned in lieu ove a real MLB. Ditto Moats and Barnett. And, Jairus Byrd needs to start bringing like a real safety. I'd have no problem with Wilson at FS and Searcy or Howell at SS. -
Bills are 2-2 ..... now what?
Dr. Trooth replied to FanofFredJackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolute best case scenario. Bills win 3 of their next 6. That's if they get lucky. I'm calling it now, 2-4 over the next 6... and that's thinking with my heart. In reality, it could be 1-5. 4-6 with 6 games to go? They ain't gonna run the table. I said at the beginning of the season 8-8. Even that it looking like a reach. -
Mario Williams - Mr. Invisible - Explain it
Dr. Trooth replied to Livinginthepast's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can explain it . Mario is a lazy slob. Watch the game... No hustle, no emotion, no game. Pure and simple, he's a disgrace. He is a total downgrade from Kelsay. If Mario has any dignity or integrity, he'll refund his signing bonus and last 4 game checks back to Ralph. -
The players have bought into Wanny's system.

Wow- NFL doesn't give us a chance in Hell........
Dr. Trooth replied to Buffalo Mike1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wtf? Who is nfl? -
A while back a recall Wanny, or one of the Bills coaches, mentioning their plan was to line Mario up primarily @ LDE but they were going to move him all over along the front. I've watched three games, and I've not seen Mario move at all from LDE. Perhaps I blinked or missed a few plays making a sandwich or hitting the head... but ain't see anything but LDE for Mario. Is this the week they bring that 6'6" frame up the middle and make it difficult for Brady to step up in the pocket or see his targets clearly? Or, were the Bills coaches BS ing all along?
-
It ain't that complicated. Just "bring it" ! Bills just gotta stop playing like girls when they face the Pats. Just stop being afraid of them and physically punish them.
-
I will say, the o line is looking a lot better than in the past. However, you must give a lot of credit to Fitz in the pass protection dept. He gets rid of the ball quickly most of the time and he can maneuver in th pcoket as well as run threat. Put Trent Edwards or Drew Bledsoe behind this oline and we're talking what a sieve it is instead of how good they are.
-
Well... 2-1 is good, for sure. However, I'm not "feelin" it yet. I'm not necessarily disappointed with the offense, but I am a bit disappointed with Fitz. Defensively, that's a whole different story. I expected a lot more. The defense has faced three of the NFL bottom feeder QBs in their first three games. And, even though KC ranks 1 on offense, I ain't buying into them being a top ten offense, at least not yet. Mario's play agaisnt the Jet's tackle, and then the Brown's rookie tackle last week was... well, below average. I honestly can't see an upgrade from Kelsay. I just don't see the pressure I expected up front... and allowing a rookie QB last week to put together two 80 yard drives with no name receivers and TE was just horrendous. Brady has got to be licking his chops if he wached game footage of Sanchez and Weedon facing the Bills D. With that, this week the Bills take a huge leap in competition, and will be challenged offensively and defensively. The Pats rank higher on both sides of the ball and have not been out of any game... and losing the last two on the game's last play. This is the game we can truly gauge the progress of the Bills as a team. When the Pats lose, it's usually because Brady has been been hurried, sacked, hit, and taken out of his rhythem. So, defensively with all of the hyped d line, it's time to put up or shut up. I'd have to say, not only for the team, but especially the defensive line, they "must" have a huge game... that's where most of the money has been spent on this team and they better bear fruit this week, big time. So looking at this fro what I've observed from both teams, man, I am so not feelin a "W" Sunday... 1 for the last 21 against the Pats??? Somebody, please wake me up from this nightmare. Well, somewhere in the neighborhood of 4pm Sunday, we'll have a fair assessment of where this team is headed. A loss Sunday and facing two physical teams on the west coast the next two weeks could put this team on the cusp of the all familiar tailspin we're used to expecting.

Nix and Chan are not on the same page
Dr. Trooth replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Players need a coach that has an extreme competitive edge. You cite Harbaugh. What is the difference between Harbaugh and Chan? One is extremetly intense, the other? Well, does he have a pulse? Does he get excited? Does he show passion? Does he incite passion among his players? You be the judge. But, when I look at this team, I see no fire, no heart, no passion, no sense of urgency. And, I don't see a willingness on the part of ownership to hire a coach of that genre.. -

Is it really about Jerry? Or, is it more about not hearing or reading what you want to hear or read. Like I said before.... this team hasn't won 40% of it's game in the past 11 years. They suck until they don't suck and for any journalist to write about the Bills as if they are better than that is more than creative embellishment. A writer could put lipstick on a pig all they want... it's still a pig. (Sorry to pick on pigs) I mean, really... this is 2012..... 1000 channels on TV. Any 20-30 year old grew up with so much tv and/or visual media that it's almost an appendage or necessity. Anyone says they don't watch TV is full of $#it. THey watch something.... whether it's the news, sponge bob, sports center, or this old house, weather channel... everyone watches something.

50-50 chance of a Bills win
-
Ahem. How would we know if there's another side of Jerry? I mean, the Bills don't exactly give him an opportunity. Let me splain... For a couple of minutes, remove yourself from your role as a Buffalo Bills fan. Two minutes... disassociate yourself from the Bills and assume a new role as a Steelers fan, a Patriots fan, a Giants fan.... whatever you want. Now critique the other 31 teams. When you get to the Bills, if your a Steeler, Pat, or Giant fan, your sides have to be almost splitting because you're laughing so dadgum hard. What you see is a Bills team that is 68-108 over the past 11 seasons and not one playoff game. Dude... that's a fraction below .390 w/l pct. To put that in another context, if you do a probability study, you could project that the Bills record this season will be somewhere around 6 or seven wins and you'd be derned close. As a Steelr, Pat, Giants, or Pack fan.... man, you gotta be thinkin the Bills are the pits, pathetic, losers... Basically, chum for a team like the Pack, Giants, Steelers, or Pats. So, what do want Jerry to write? Things that aren't true or deserved? When was Jerry given a bonafide reason to write accolades and really nice things that are true about this team's performance? Do you think he'd write the same stuff if the Bills went 11-5 and advanced a game or two in the playoffs? We may never know. And, lastly... OK, Nelson may be no big loss, but on a 6-10 team last year he caught 60 balls. Who's going to step up and fill that void? Jones? TJ? Martin? It ain't like Tom Brady pitching to them. But you bring up a good point and at the same time make a huge statement about this team... the loss of Nelson is no big deal. This team can win 6 games with or without him.

Quotes like this don't inspire hope...
Dr. Trooth replied to quinnearlysghost88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he wants the secondary to get a few more holding penalties, an occasional personal foul perhaps. -
I have a suggestion. They should post the article in the Bills front office lobby, locker room, training room, all meeting rooms and coaches offices. And... in the lavatories.

What's there to do in Buffalo? Collect unemployment! National unemployment rate = 8.2%. Buffalo unemployment = 12.3% However, the Buffalo faithful vow to break their personal best of 14.2% iunemployment in Feb. of 1992 by voting for Obama in November, ensuring they have a legitimate shot at 15% unemployment.
