I call that concessioanry yardage by the Jets. The game was over at 21-0. Right after the Cromartie pick the Jets called in th dogs. For them, the hunt was over.

"What I'm most angered about from yesterday's game was their overall approach. They hardly looked motivated or played with emotion." You could use this statement for any game over the past several years and you'd be right. Who is the Bills Ray Lewis, London Fletcher, Carlos Dansby,Troy Polomalu, Brian Urlacher? Answer: There is none. They have no emmotional leader. They have no tackling machine. They have no game changer on defense. Sunday the defense played on it's heels all game long. They are afraid of the Jets. The Bills are not physical and they do not like to play physical. Chan likes the athletic ability of this team and their ability to avoid contact. Bills fans... what we have here is a team of well behaved choir boys. Anyone think the tension on this team needs to be kicked up about 12 notches?

You don't think the same thing goes on at the Ralph with opposing fans? Guess again... I've seen it... and more than once. Azz wipes are Azz wipes... no matter where you are.

What FA WR do we sign now with the injuries...
Dr. Trooth replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This team aint going to the playoffs no matter who you sign. The offense put up 28 points despite turning it over 4 times. On the other hand, the defense got totally shredded... bigtime...by an offense that is below average by any measure. I thought the Bills problem was the back seven... particularly the lbs (every damn one of them). I knew the secondary was shaky too. But, I never expected the d line to be as bad as they were today. If you think it can't get worse than today, wait til they face a good team like the Pats or Niners. I can see this team finishing no better than 8-8... and they'd probly have to run the table in December to do that. -
100 million dollar mistake?
Dr. Trooth replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mario a "victim" again. He's 6'6" 290 and a big cry baby. The one thing I got to say to you Mario is kick the guys ass if you don't like it. The refs are not your friend. http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/8359899/mario-williams-buffalo-bills-rips-replacement-refs-loss -
WEEK #1 - Bills @ Jets Game Day Thread
Dr. Trooth replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's cut to the chase. Going back to the 4-3 was a huge mistake. Naming Wannstedt the defensive coordinator was a bigger than huge mistake. And, obviously, signing Anderson and Mario Williams at any amount of money has provern to be even more stupid. I don't give a crap about 3 turnovers, yeah, that's bad. But allowing the Jets offense to run 40 plays in the first half after putting that much emphahsis and energy to field a good defense is totally inexecuseable. THE BILLS DEFENSE IS AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE TO ANY NFL PLAYER THAT HAS EVER PUT ON A UNIFORM.... PERIOD!!! -

Game 1: Bills versus Jets

Jets 9, Bills 6 -
Backup, starter, what's the difference. So far all QBs on the Bills roster have sucked hind tit this preseason. Good thing we have QB coach David Lee to correct their mechanics. It has worked well so far

Bills to acquire Tarvaris Jackson
Dr. Trooth replied to VIVA BUFFALO CABRONES!'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Backup QB is certainly a position of need. Come to think of it, without a top 5 defense, so is starting QB. But, backup QB is not their biggest need... The Bills should get serious about aquiring starting caliber LBs. That is clearly the weakest link on this team. The D line may be well stocked, but the LBs are going to keep the defense from cracking the top 15. We need at least one LB that brings a physical presence and is an "ENFORCER"... ala, Urlacher, Harrison, Ray Lewis, Karlos Dansby... a difference maker. We do not have anyone in that class. No, instead we convert a safety to play LB. -
Bills to acquire Tarvaris Jackson
Dr. Trooth replied to VIVA BUFFALO CABRONES!'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, well, well. Jackson seems like a Chan type QB, mobile and accurate on 5 yd . passes. His last preseason game he was 3 for 5 for 1 yd. Yippee! Let the good times roll. -
Fyi, Dedes is the play by play guy for the knicks. He does both radio and tv for the knicks. He formrrly was the play by play guy for the LA Lakers.

Where was Sheppard? On his back or where he shouldn't have been. Two things I got from last night... 1) The entire linebacking corps sucks... that's why the Bils got gashed so much in the first half. 2) Outside of the DL and one corner and one safety, the rest of them suck. It is no coincidence that in two games, two very young QBs have taken this defense apart within the first 3 possessions. And to have eight play drives in the first quarter in the first two games, both resulting in TDs against your first team, indicates a trend. This defense is not going to crack the top 10. They ain't as good as I thought they were going to be.

"Yup, if they're not already on PUP I'm pretty sure you can't now put them there." My bad. I believe you to be correct. Initially I thought they could be put on the PUP at any time during the preseason, and as long as they finish the preaseason on the PUP list they can be placed on the reg season PUP list. But now, as I understand it, if they practice at all during the preaseason, they can't be put on the preaseson PUP, and thus not eligible for the reg season pup. Bad news for both Troup and McGee. Conceivably, one of them could be place on IR because if the player union approves the new rule, allowing one player on each team to be placed on IR and eligible to come off in 8 weeks. But, even if the players approve it, I can't see the Bills wasting it on either of these two, who have been perpetually injured. In McGee's case, I really think he's done. If the Bills don't put him on IR, which guarantees him his salary. Because McGee is a class act and has been a good player when healthy, the Bills may carry him on the 53 til after week 3, then cut him... which guarantees his salary for the season. At least that's what I think the rules allow.
-
... And based on all the reports (the same ones you see and hear), to me anyway, it seems like McGee and Troup are almost stone cold locks to be there at the beginning of the season. Another one I'm having suspicions about is Pears. But, he seems to be closer to being ready for prime time than the other two. Bottom line... you guys mapping out the final 53 before it's a done deal might want to consider. Are there any other PUPsters you see?

Plax to work out for Patriots per ESPN Text
Dr. Trooth replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't see it happening. Plax doesn't practice much at all. With Belichick & Brady's offense dependent on timing and minutia, just can't see the Pats putting up with Plax's one or two practices per week. -
Where the hell is Fred Jackson on the season tickets?
Dr. Trooth replied to Lv-Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
RESPECT? It might be just me, but didn't the Bills give him a lot of (few milion) respect a few weeks ago? -

Well...If the player think NFL condoning vilolence for years is their case, then they're gonna lose. It is well documented that the NFL has fined players for "hits" on what they've determined were excessive and outside the lines. James Harrison would be the poster boy for that. They've also established commitees to modify rules to protect players. Kickoffs from the 25, crackbaks blocks, QB protection, low blocks on an engaged lineman, etc. So the players can take what they want to court. In a civil proceeding the scales only need to tip slightly in the favor of one party. That being the case, and knowing only the tip of the iceberg evidence that the NFL has, my money is squarely on the NFL on this one. The sport is always going to win on matters like this... that's why boxing and ultimate fighing exist. That's why fighting in hockey exists... that's what the patrons want to see. And lastly, football is a game of violence... big fast men colliding. It is what it is and we like it that way. But, when bounties are paid to purposely injure a player... well, geez folks, that crosses a line. I thought the Tonya Harding school of competiton days were behind us.
-
So Why would the Bills need Ocho? They don't need a gimmick.... they're selling tickets like crazy.

He might be the best of the FA crop. But, that ain't saying a hell of a lot. Broke his leg, tore his ACL, not a lot of W's, but, a lot of ints. Why bother bringing him in? Durability seems to be the top issue, then his decision making (ints). If he ever gets to play, what will be his next injury? He's a long shot to make the PS, let alone the 53. Buddy... keep looking, this guy ain't the answer.

Keuchly may or may not be the pick at 10. But, after the last several posts seeming to disparage a LB being selected in the top #10... I'll say right here right now that no matter where Keuchly is selected, he's gonna make some team real happy. Is there anyone that wants to wager on whether or not he'll be a bust? I don't care if he's selected at #5 or #20, he's a playmaker and will be an all pro no matter where he plays. I remember when the Bills took Conlan at #7 and then traded for Bennett (the 2nd pick in the draft). I bet that dime a dozen LB study didn't factor that in. Keuchly's a student of the game and is a lot more athletic than he's given credit for. He has football speed and natural instinct. The Bills could do a hell of lot worse at ten than Keuchly... a LB that can play all 3 spots? Gotta name for me of a LB in the NFL that can do that right now? If you do, he's probably all world. Anyone one out there that thinks the Bills can play with schitty LBs just because of the new front they have now are totally stupid and have a bad memory... no LBs since Fletcher and Spikes... How's that worked out? You think you can win with the likes of Brandon Spoon and Eddie Robinson? Good luck. The 26th ranked defense got a lot better in the offseason... but until they get the LBs to go with it the defense will be one chicken mcnugget short of a happy meal.

Did anybody else notice during the presser that...
Dr. Trooth replied to FredEx Delivers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the smirk was because he was kinda laughing at the so called experts that think Floyd is worthy of a top 10 pick. I'll throw this out there... asied from Tim Brown and Deion Branch, what ND wide receiver has been worth 2 schitz. And, Branch is average.
