  1. No different, really, than baseball keeping the steroid cheats out of the baseball HoF; just a different form of cheating.
  2. I like the Vikings, too, because the Chargers have zero HFA this time of year, but I don't like taking favorites on the moneyline. Love the Bears and the Rams this weekend. I too was tempted to put about $3 on the Jets moneyline, but I just can't see it. Darnold against that defense, on the road?
  3. I hope you’re not suggesting that six 200-yard games is a modest total. No one has rushed for more, and OJ really only had five NFL seasons in his prime.
  4. Perhaps someone could send a bat signal to the commish. TSW would like to hear from him directly on this important issue.
  5. The actual content of the tape is pretty much irrelevant, assuming it is in fact a tape of the Bengals' sideline during the game. What matters is who, if anyone, instructed the crew to videotape the Bengals' sideline and what they were asked to do with the tape. And if it is a tape of the Bengals' sideline during a game, which would potentially contain competitively useful information, it will not be released to the general public.
  6. Boston Scott???? Are you f-ing kidding me? He’s 10 times better than second round pick Miles Sanders.
  7. Yes, yes it was. Did the announcers even mention that little detail? (I had it muted.)
  8. Dexter Lawrence is a mountain. I would not have been heartbroken if we had taken him at 9.
  9. He probably wasn't instructed by anyone to film the Bengals' sideline. I'm sure he just liked the gear they were wearing.
  10. You should have seen the Rams game....OMG
  11. They acquired him for the playoff run this year and he’s been a complete zero.
  12. I also have a problem with Brown’s route. If he was running closer to parallel with the goal line, I don’t think Peters is able to make that play.
  13. I just watched the replay again multiple times and it's not at all clear that Peters ever touched the ball. He clearly affected Brown's ability to catch it, but it doesn't look like he actually touched the ball.
  14. I didn’t see a great replay of it, but I think the last pass to Brown was catchable. The DB was all over Brown, but I don’t think he actually got his hand on the ball. I could be wrong, though.
  15. There was also a very nice deep ball to Singletary that should have been caught.
  16. Maybe he wanted to go after Harbaugh for the fake kneel-down.
  17. Your (low) football IQ is showing. They needed a two-point conversión at some point. Why not go for it there, when the defense is tired and you still have time to try something else if you don’t make it? It also keeps alive the opportunity to go for two again and win the game in regulation.
  18. Bengals are a different team with Dalton. Patriots are reeling. I give the Bengals a shot, and I like them a lot getting 10 points. This game is their whole season.
  19. Here’s a happy Monday thought: The Patriots gave up a second round draft pick for Mohammad Sanu.??
  20. Thanks for coming by. I mostly agree with your post. Jackson didn’t have a great game, but he was playing against maybe the best defense in the league, in a tough environment. He’s very hard to defend and he’s still learning. I thought the Ravens play calling was highly questionable at times. They got fancy too often when they should have just fed Ingram and Edwards (who’s a beast, by the way). One thing I noticed was that Ravens were almost totally shut down when they were in unfavorable down and distance; it’s critically important to hold them to 3 yds or less on first down—easier said than done, of course. Ravens defense was tremendous; much better than I expected. They are right up there with the best units in the league. Also highly impressed with special teams; Roberts had nowhere to go.
