I think at the end, Darnold was intentionally throwing it out of bounds and to unoccupied parts of the field in order to avoid the humiliation of another pick. Never seen anything like it.
No. Peterman was a rookie, 5th round pick, starting his first NFL game, on the road. Darnold was the alleged franchise savior, in his second year as a starter, at home on MNF, against the Jets’ most hated rival. Not even close.
You are forgetting the strip-sack fumble, sir. All things considered, it was the worst QB performance in the history of the National Football League. Fortunately for the Nyets, this draft will be a good one for QBs.
That question has been answered already. After watching the Patriots closely this season, does anyone seriously believe there is going to be a huge drop off when Brady leaves? They would be undefeated with Brian Hoyer or any other functional NFL QB. Brady is still good, but he’s not why they’re winning. It’s a sobering realization for Bills fans. The Evil Empire is here to stay, as long as Belichick is around.
I would argue that trading away 3 second round picks to draft this turnover machine instead of staying put and taking Josh Allen was a move that set the Jets back for a decade.
