  1. I need to about mid October to get a full barometer of where this team is really heading.... A hot start doesn't always translate into a strong finish, but by mid October you can have a solid finger on the pulse and know with some confidence. How we finish the last 6 weeks is much more important IMO, as it shows a team continuing to grow. I feel the Bills being coached by McDermott are better as the season wears on. I like that trait. Honestly if I was to toss out opinion I'm in the 9-7 camp.. Allen will progress but still have a few flubs....WR's are much improved but still not a full known, as are TE's and OL.. D should keep us in games and allow the O to work with shorter fields hiding some early inefficiencies in the offense. If we win 9 or more games this year its a another tip of the hat to McDermott and Beane, 8-8 or less is a bit disappointing.
  2. Flacco ….. http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?archive=true&conference=null&statisticCategory=PASSING&season=2018&seasonType=REG&experience=&tabSeq=0&qualified=false&Submit=Go
  3. He played with the 1s in the 3rd preseason game which is the final tune up for the 1s and he looked good. I have to believe Duke is getting serious consideration for his red zone / blocking capabilities. He was key block on a long run by Gore
  4. I don't see how you do not keep Duke on this roster. he brings a different aspect to our WR group that is desperately missing. He showed he can ace the high point grab, he showed he is a willing blocker.. Gonna be hard to not keep him IMO
  5. yeah so what. It hurts he's done.... He wanted out, his choice nothing botched. Indy can only blame themselves because they refused to build the team properly... Barry Sanders quit on the lions for even lesser reasons.
  6. Point was I don't want more regular season football.. .I just want playoffs. That's more than enough football for me... I'm more than ok with the slow periods and down time.
  7. If the NFL goes to an 18 game schedule my days as a dedicated fan will probably start ot fade. I'm already paying less and less attention to the league the last few years. Getting tired of the grow the revenues at any and all cost mentality.... I have yet to hear 1 single idea in this regard that makes any sense to me. pure greed , and being rich, does not equate to what is right IMO. in fact I shake my head at that thought process, but then again I do not understand greed so I can't identify at all. Not me. I'm growing tired of the constant changes to the sport and this overly obsessive need to keep growing revenue. Yeah that's the capitalistic way, but I'm exhausted by it. I don't want less preseason games I just want to be able to watch the ones that are being played for cheap, not a $99 gamepass BS. I don't want more NFL games I'm very content with a 16 game schedule, and I sure as hell never want to have any of my top players forced to sit 2 games a year so they only play the 16 a year.
  8. Aaron Rogers for the win.. I am very disgusted with Indy fans booing Luck for making a decision that was best for him regarding his health. I have no issues with Aaron Rogers at all.
  9. sent $13 to paypal
  10. Well if Indy would of invested properly in keeping their QB upright. I don't blame Luck. I salute him for leaving the game in tact on his terms. It sucks for Indy fans but the game is brutal mentally and physically I blame them for lack of common sense understanding. Haters are going to hate, so that's why I laugh at the haters for being selfish and stupid I would never call out a player, like Luck, for retiring knowing the injuries Luck was dealing with.
  11. Every year thee are surprise teams. teams that just come out of nowhere unexpectedly. ESPN meet the 2019 Bills There was weird comments about Dawkins struggling badly that didn't make much sense. Yeah the guy had his hands full but he was the bright spot on a dysfunctional under talented rest of the line
  12. of course Bennie knows everything he is a rocketman, which is like being a rocket scientist. Jets are rockets for people and product
  13. Alarm system was going off giving them permission to find the reason for the alarm going off. If the alarm is going off they have to suspect a B&E and they have the rights to come in and find the perpetrators. It would kind of defeat the purpose of a home alarm if it meant the police couldn't enter and save your crap nor arrest the criminals ransacking your place.. Kind of backfires when you leave rails on the mirror and are not home
  14. This is not hard to figure out. Buffalo is going to beat the Jets week 1. Sure they'll have to deal with the home team energy s\urge of a season opener. But IMO JA's head is in a great place and it is cooler than the veggies in your crisper. The Jets are a mess with injuries and suspensions. They'll get season opener home team momentum but the Bills will finish the game stronger and take the crowd out of it Jets fans are merely convincing themselves it going to be ok. But they are doing so curled up in a fetal position and rocking back and forth and mumbling it. Hey is his name Bennie by chance, Bennie the Jet
  15. People bemoan too much hard contact and fear injuries, but there is a lot to be said about acclimation being part of preparation. Less so during the season but training camp / preseason has its place. That being said the real beatings will not start till week 1
  16. if he is given the 11th international player spot then definitely no. If he is waived and resigned to the PS then he is fair game at any point... That is the way I am taking it If he spends the year on the PS squad more than likely he is going to come to Bill scamp next year. he has the knowlegde of the system and he has a year of working with the team. I seriously wouldn't worry about losing Wade... Not even a little concerned here myself. there is not a team in this league that is going to sign him to a deal that puts him on a 53 man roster this year without seeing a lot more. Nobody is going to back up the truck to sign him next offseason either. Two long runs against scrubs with 4 or 5 months of American football experience is not closing that deal
  17. He can be waived and if no one claims him he may be placed on the PS squad and be eligible to be called up (Not 100% on that). There seems to be conflicting info on the internet about this. However if he is placed on the PS squad using the 11th man designation for international players he is ineligible for call ups
  18. I'm relaxed just confused at the inability of some Bills fans to separate fantasy from reality here. For some here it is rocket science if you back track through the pages of this thread. I do share the sentiment of the underdog. I'm pulling for him long term. But it makes NO sense at all to give him reps with the 1s this week. Imagine he might see a few plays with the 2s. But week 3 is the final regular season tune up for the starters
  19. They can place him directly on the PS I believe. If they waive him he is exposed.
  20. the game and position is much more than stats and running the football. Blocking assignment's defensive reads are very complex. We know he can run but can he patiently wait for a hole to open and hit it with authority. Can he choose the right gap to tie up a defender protecting the QB ? Those things need to be developed.. Even Wade knows this and from what it sounds like he is ready and willing to be a PS player this year.
  21. so you think the coaches and Christian Wade don't know enough to make the proper decision. Wade himself, (follow link above I posted) just told you he ain't making this team because he is not ready to play in the NFL, and the fans need to chill.
  22. My opinion on Zay. Not going to bag on him.. Not going to be upset if he is sent packing either He has shown improvement but still has untimely drops. So I'm just on the fence with the guy.
  23. s A few big plays is not enough to make this roster. He needs to be fully developed https://billswire.usatoday.com/2019/08/21/christian-wade-pumps-breaks-on-idea-making-buffalo-bills-roster/ I guess what disappoints is the fact that Some of our fans don't realize how much more the game is besides busting a long play or 2. Wade does.. which is a great thing. He's dialed in on what it takes to be a pro football player here. When you don't have the ball in your hand you have dozens of other intricate obligations, and these take time to develop. For most players it was a decade or more of development
  24. Have to witness the scenario that plays out before I could make that call. I mean if we lost half our OL and both QB's to freak injuries then no. But if the wheels came off and we looked dysfunctional then yes
