A true judge of a fan base can be calculated using a proportion of a fans whom proudly still support their team after 17 consecutive non playoff seasons in a small market city. When the fan base still shows up and still wears their colors with pride in other cities etc.. even when faced with the obvious aggravation of opposing fans ripping on your ass constantly, then you have a true metric correlating to the most diehard fandom

yeah the metrics they apply to best fans are quite lame Fan Equity is a matter of judging how well fans support their team by backing up their words with dollars — i.e., how much they spend on everything from season tickets to jerseys. If a team fills its stadium but there’s not much demand past that, their Fan Equity score is lower. Translation Large market teams with higher median wages Social Equity is based on a team’s social media reach — i.e., how many followers the team has across various social media channels. A team that’s not able to draw many followers on social isn’t a team with a deep degree of Social Equity. Translation Large market teams that get more airtime nationally and internationally. And/or teams that are presently riding winning traditions Road Equity involves measuring how well a team draws on the road, adjusting for team performance. People show up to watch when the Cowboys or Steelers come to town. People don’t show up to watch when, say, the Bengals or Titans do. (Sorry, Cincy and Tennessee, but you know it’s true.) Translation Large market teams that get more airtime nationally and internationally. And/or teams that are presently riding winning traditions

All I know is I would NEVER invest big money into any player who could not be bothered to be here voluntary or not. Like its been said. Its about building chemistry, its about being a team, its about doing what is expected of you for the ludicrous amount of money you are being paid.

I disagree Whaley's teams were all over the place and lacked any direction. Especially QB. There may be a reason why Whaley is not being offered GM jobs nor is he getting lots of interviews Beane dismantled that team and the pain of rebuilding is what has happened. usually when someone says no more excuses its because there were previous reasons sed player brought up before Josh never pointed out flaws in other peoples game he just focused on himself which is one of the things that endeared him to me.. He is no prima donna type. I can see why people reacted the way they did I wanted to immediately after reading it. More likely do to lack of tone of voice and body language to read.

I seriously doubt any team or the NFL is going to open themselves up to the multi billion $$$ lawsuit that is sure to come eventually if this is actually happening. Players do this stuff on their own. They may be teams that advise on how to do it but I do not think its that prevalent at the FO level Also you should care...... or are you ok letting humans pollute themselves just so you can be entertained ??? That says more about you than the players IMO. The players are doing it to get a huge payday. Heck a player just needs one big contract then does it matter if they get caught, they're set for life.. so the risk is worth it in the players eyes, but it pollutes the game as we don't know who is really great and who is artificially great I wish there was a better way to ensure no doping in any form was happening because now to many are getting away with it, and are being rewarded with huge contracts that are amplified do to doping during ones career IMO. The game should be determined by human capability not human technologies that amplify human ability IMO. Although at some point humans will need to meld with machines to survive but thats a very different discussion and reality "Technological Singularity" is coming people.. Nothing will be the same

Well in the Jets defense it took us about 20 years to formulate that "clear" plan having the right GM Coach combo is as crucial a finding a franchise QB. It taking the Pegulas multiple tries with the Sabres and the Bills and they are only hoping their latest Sabres change is the one there. At least they finally go it right for the Bills so I have hope of seeing that eventually repeating with the Sabres.. I am hopeful on Krueger, Boterill worries me though... I see the Pegulas as learning as they go. I'm very happy with the state of the Bills moving forward.. I can also see what they are striving for with both franchises and although it hasn't been as smooth as we would like I still strongly believe they will get both franchises firing well. When they get the right combos they'll stick with them and stability / Consistency will follow. No worries at all.. Just patience mnixed in with impatient frustrations but not worried as they will get it right and they will lock it in when they do.
