  1. This is not hard to figure out. Buffalo is going to beat the Jets week 1. Sure they'll have to deal with the home team energy s\urge of a season opener. But IMO JA's head is in a great place and it is cooler than the veggies in your crisper. The Jets are a mess with injuries and suspensions. They'll get season opener home team momentum but the Bills will finish the game stronger and take the crowd out of it Jets fans are merely convincing themselves it going to be ok. But they are doing so curled up in a fetal position and rocking back and forth and mumbling it. Hey is his name Bennie by chance, Bennie the Jet
  2. People bemoan too much hard contact and fear injuries, but there is a lot to be said about acclimation being part of preparation. Less so during the season but training camp / preseason has its place. That being said the real beatings will not start till week 1
  3. if he is given the 11th international player spot then definitely no. If he is waived and resigned to the PS then he is fair game at any point... That is the way I am taking it If he spends the year on the PS squad more than likely he is going to come to Bill scamp next year. he has the knowlegde of the system and he has a year of working with the team. I seriously wouldn't worry about losing Wade... Not even a little concerned here myself. there is not a team in this league that is going to sign him to a deal that puts him on a 53 man roster this year without seeing a lot more. Nobody is going to back up the truck to sign him next offseason either. Two long runs against scrubs with 4 or 5 months of American football experience is not closing that deal
  4. He can be waived and if no one claims him he may be placed on the PS squad and be eligible to be called up (Not 100% on that). There seems to be conflicting info on the internet about this. However if he is placed on the PS squad using the 11th man designation for international players he is ineligible for call ups
  5. I'm relaxed just confused at the inability of some Bills fans to separate fantasy from reality here. For some here it is rocket science if you back track through the pages of this thread. I do share the sentiment of the underdog. I'm pulling for him long term. But it makes NO sense at all to give him reps with the 1s this week. Imagine he might see a few plays with the 2s. But week 3 is the final regular season tune up for the starters
  6. They can place him directly on the PS I believe. If they waive him he is exposed.
  7. the game and position is much more than stats and running the football. Blocking assignment's defensive reads are very complex. We know he can run but can he patiently wait for a hole to open and hit it with authority. Can he choose the right gap to tie up a defender protecting the QB ? Those things need to be developed.. Even Wade knows this and from what it sounds like he is ready and willing to be a PS player this year.
  8. so you think the coaches and Christian Wade don't know enough to make the proper decision. Wade himself, (follow link above I posted) just told you he ain't making this team because he is not ready to play in the NFL, and the fans need to chill.
  9. My opinion on Zay. Not going to bag on him.. Not going to be upset if he is sent packing either He has shown improvement but still has untimely drops. So I'm just on the fence with the guy.
  10. s A few big plays is not enough to make this roster. He needs to be fully developed https://billswire.usatoday.com/2019/08/21/christian-wade-pumps-breaks-on-idea-making-buffalo-bills-roster/ I guess what disappoints is the fact that Some of our fans don't realize how much more the game is besides busting a long play or 2. Wade does.. which is a great thing. He's dialed in on what it takes to be a pro football player here. When you don't have the ball in your hand you have dozens of other intricate obligations, and these take time to develop. For most players it was a decade or more of development
  11. Have to witness the scenario that plays out before I could make that call. I mean if we lost half our OL and both QB's to freak injuries then no. But if the wheels came off and we looked dysfunctional then yes
  12. well it says if the Bills end up with a 4 - 12 season he has a 73% chance of being fired. not much really being said here
  13. There is a chance a better QB option that can be safely stashed on a PS squad may come available... But the fact does remain Tyree knows the system and the playbook which gives him a leg up in regards to replacing him on the PS I understand the frustration somewhat but swapping the guy out because you want a better PS QB that was cut from another team and not signed to their PS really would be an exercise in futility. Any QB that the BIlls might want to swap out Tyree for would have to be bad enough to not be signed to the PS of the team who waived sed QB. Most likely there is no upgrade to be found there...
  14. LOL.. it don't work that way...
  15. Really ? Flabbergasted on this one. You always develop a QB. 1.) You have a strong need for practice reps, 2 QB's are not enough to run practice where QB 1 and 2 are working on a game plan QB 3 ( the PS QB) is acting the part of the opposing teams qb in situations amongst many other duties as well as growing and learning by doing. 2.) You never know how long any player let alone QB is going to be able to play the game. Having depth who is invested into the teams systems is beneficial even if they pick up a QB to play the games if something unfortunate did happen to Allen or Barkley. Tyree is now knowledgeable enough to help. Injuries happen, and sometimes, not often though, a newly acquired QB doesn't seem to work out. It rarely happens especially to the Bills but its been knows to happen [/sarcasm] 4.) Depth. You still hope your 3rd QB gets better and the investment pays off. If not you cut bait and find another and try try try again 5.) You will never sneak a promising QB onto the PS, its for development plyaers. It Tyree was showing strong signs of developing where would you stash him. Meaning if the Bilsl improved and brought in a much better 3rd string QB option that has people really excited how would you keep that player on the practice squad. Knowing the Bills probably don't want 3 active QB's on the roster you have to settle for a Tyree type of project
  16. Productivity is the very definition of good, maybe not greatness but it is definitely the definition of good. yeah that article just proves anyone can be a op-ed journalist
  17. Why would I care. Because I'm a Bills fan and I don't want AB here for any reason. Giving up assets / cash for AB would just make it worse AB is not worth the headache and the money we saved by not wasting it on a me me me player will serve the franchise 1000 x's better moving forward
  18. no I hope to ***** god that Beane never had any intention of signing a douche bag like AB for any money. He may be talented but he is a distraction for this team. I couldn't possibly be happier that he is not here.
  19. It was never about his accuracy. His doom and gloom reporting was a drain. I think most fans enjoyed having some optimism in the offseason and training camp, and Sully never could find much positive to write about. We had our share of good times mixed in with the bad so he could of let off the gloom pedal....
  20. We have speed in spades with Brown McKenzie Beasley Roberts ..What we need is tall WR who can go up and make the circus catch with a sick arm radius.. If Duke can make catches like he did in Carolina sign me up
  21. Its already a documented fact that less and less kids are participating in sports. Lots of this has to do with out of pocket expenses that parents are now required to pay for kids to participate in sports like football. Its been documented that kids today are playing football less. I fully expect to see the NFL plateau in revenue / profit margins in the next decade, if it doesn't the only reason would be, IMO, because the game has taken hold internationally.... But I do see the NFL losing revenue in the years ahead. There really is no room to grow revenues IMO. What are they going to do now raise ticket prices more charge you $20 for a beer. We are already seeing lots of fans who bought PSL's eating their investments. Maybe they would do something really crazy and try charging fans $99 to watch preseason games. Football fandom is becoming very expensive . I can see many in the next generation cutting it out of their budgets ....
  22. I don't think so. He needs to start showing some thing. If Duke Williams shows something in preseason 3 I'd be worried if I was Foster
  23. Yes he can be placed on an active roster but he counts against the final 53 Yes he can be stashed on the PS and he is untouchable for the full season but he also can not be called up for the season. Next year he is a basically a FA trying to make the team and he can no longer be protected.
