  1. Bill Parcells. Turned around every team he coached, then turned Miami around as an executive. Most of the so-called geniuses only did it in one place. Parcells did it in 5.
  2. The main reason that the Bills haven't made it to the Super Bowl is KC with Mahomes. Take Mahomes away from KC and the Bills win all those playoff games with Mahomes at QB. Meanwhile, if the Bills draft Mahomes in 2017, Josh Allen ends up in Arizona, so the 2 top QBs are in different conferences, and one can't stop the other getting into the Super Bowl.
  3. If you think Chris Brown is bad, try listening to a race call at Finger Lakes Racetrack. Their long time announcer, Tony Calo, left & relocated in Kentucky where he's calling races at Turfway Park & Ellis Park. So they hired Anthony Stabile who left NYRA last year. He's horrible. I hope they hire a real race caller next year. Not that it matters too much to me since I rarely watch or bet on Finger Lakes races. https://paulickreport.com/news/horseplayers-category/report-stabile-resigns-from-nyra-television-handicapping-duties
  4. My initial reaction when they re-signed Jones was: Didn't they learn anything from when they were in Buffalo and the Bills decided it was best to get rid of Tyrod Taylor & do everything possible to get their QB in the draft. Sure, the Bills could have been content with making the playoffs in 2017, but they knew better. I really thought the Giants would do the same thing with Jones, especially after they didn't use the 5th year option. All along I thought signing Jones for franchise QB money was ridiculous. They compounded the error that helped get Gettleman fired.
  5. I used to be stadium all the way. From the middle of 1990 until the Thanksgiving week Sunday Night game vs NE in 2007 I never missed a home regular season or playoff game. I'm now 70 and the drive (around 300 miles each way) plus all the fans who stand throughout the game have turned me into a TV fan. I can't stand for a whole game. We used to have 1st row club end zone seats & there was nobody in front of us for the last few years I went to games. Last year I didn't see any Bills games in person. I went to the Giants/Jets and it rained the whole game. I was sick the whole week after that. The year before I went to a SF 49ers home game & got Covid from the train ride to the stadium after the park & ride. I currently don't have any games planned for this season.
  6. It came down to a coin toss. The two got together & one of them was going to have to change his name. There was a 50/50 chance that our Joshua Patrick Allen would have to change his name to JP Allen. If our Josh had lost the coin toss, a lot of Bills fans would be having nightmares of another QB named JP.
  7. He basically confirmed that he is "Sleepy Joe" Joe: Please just retire & let someone in their 40s or 50s run. You're too old.
  8. Andy Beshear & Gretchen Whitmer.
  9. The best example is Green Bay. They've drafted their last 2 QBs in the 1st round years before they needed them to play. Both times they had a HOF QB with tread left on his tires.
  10. How about Chase Claypool, because, well. it's his name.
  11. I had Paramount + & dropped it because I have Showtime. I have no idea what a VPN is. As far as I know, Paramount + only lets you stream the games that are locally broadcast. So unless you're frequently out & want to watch your local games on a device, I don't see any value with P+. Peacock is the one that shows exclusive games. As far as SiriusXM. I'm not sure all the games are on the car radio. They are on if you have a home subscription. The problem is the broadcasts are behind the actual action, so if you really wanted to watch on TV & listen on the radio, you'd have to rewind the game on your TV to the point it is on SitiusXM.
  12. Chris Brown's brother. He sits behind Chris in the booth on gameday and tells him to calm down after a big play. Just like when they were kids growing up together. Doug thinks Chris was their parents ' favorite and constantly says to Chris "Mom always liked you best."
  13. We went through the whole Cousins stuff back in 2018 when he was a FA before we drafted Josh. I was against signing him then because he has always looked a lot better on paper than on the field. He makes too many mistakes at key moments and will never be a consistent winner. The Bills would be barely above .500 if Cousins had signed in 2018 and the McDermott haters would have celebrated the coach's firing years ago.
  14. Sounds like some boss at Bleacher Report got on one of his writers to write a story if he wanted to get paid and the employee got PO'd at the boss and decided to get his revenge by turning in the most ridiculous trade rumor he could come up with.
  15. Funniest reactions to his death: This man would rather die than see the Celtics win another title Jerry West hated the Boston Celtics so much, he knew they were gonna sweep Dallas, so he chose to die rather than see them win another ring. There’s levels to hating, folks.
  16. Rumors are he died of AIDS.
  17. Come On Man! He had Roethlisberger his entire career & when Ben left after playing too long (it's tough to jettison a HOF QB), they had to pick a QB in a bad QB draft year. 2 years of not solving the QB is hardly QB woes when the rookie replacement failed. QB woes are the years in between going from Kelly to Allen. Really, what could the Steelers have done differently the past few years? The past 4 QB drafts have had pretty slim pickings, especially with the Steelers draft positions. When you figure out how to dial up 1-800-FRANCQB, let us all know, because once an established QB retires, there's no such thing as an easy replacement, especially in recent draft years.
  18. I'm sure the Chiefs saw this & are now contemplating signing him.
  19. Considering the rest of the 2021 QBs and who was available in 2022, tanking for Trevor worked out a lot better than the other 1st round options.
  20. I grew up in Long Island and my father didn't know how to get Giants or Jets tickets, so I never went to a football game as a kid. Then I went to Fredonia & heard such horror stories of the Rockpile I was afraid to drive my car to the stadium. So I didn't go to a game until Rich Stadium opened. That, plus the fact that we'd all go to the TV set in the lobby area of our dorm on Sundays and watch the Bills hooked me. I eventually lived in the Orchard Park in 1977 & walked to the 1st 2 games, but they were so bad & I wasn't making much, so I'd listen to all the games on my radio (blacked out on TV). I moved back to Buffalo in 1980 for 3 years & went to most home games, and in Dec 1982 I left permanently, 1st going back to LI, then Albany. Once I moved to Albany I started going to a lot of games & from 1991-2006 never missed a home game other than preseasons. I don't go to many games anymore because as you can tell from my story, I'm old. I still watch every game on TV & at places with Sunday Ticket.
  21. JP had one of the best QB coaches in the league in Sam Wyche & still failed. Then he went to the UFL & was going to be "coached up" by offensive guru Jim Fassel and was still nothing upon his return to the NFL. JP was ruined by JP & nobody else.
  22. If Williams doesn't work out, it's time for the Bears & Jets to be banned from drafting 1st round QBs. I'll repeat an unpopular belief of mine: Coaches don't ruin QBs, scouts & GMs ruin their teams with bad QB choices. It was never the Bills coaches who ruined EJ & JP, it was bad scouting. They would have been busts with any coach.
  23. I'm not talking for anyone else but myself. I thought Josh was good in 2018 playing with horrible teammates on offense. I thought Josh was the long-term answer in 2018 because he was elevating the team to victories that most other QBs, especially the QBs of the drought years, couldn't do. I'm never going to be a fan of QB stats. I believe I can evaluate a QB a lot better watching him play than looking at a bunch of stats. I'll repeat what I've said through the years: There's a reason the pros look at film every week. Play on the field tells the story, not the stat sheet. If stats were so great, players & coaches would never spend as much time as they do looking at film. Instead at team meetings the coaches would hand out stat sheets & say "Go get 'em, boys!"
  24. It's Mangini, he just can't quit the Jets even after all these years. So he goes on other AFC East teams message boards trying to relive the days they called him Mangenius in NY.
  25. This is your problem: you're buried in stats. Meanwhile, those of us who watched both of them play every week could see a huge difference between Josh & EJ ON THE FIELD. Rookie Josh played behind one of the worst O-lines in team history and maybe had the worst group of WRs too. Robert Foster was the team's best receiver and after 2018 disappeared. Of course ,statistically Josh looked bad, but in the real world, On the field, there was no comparison. EJ would have been lucky to win 2 games with that horrible offense. Josh won half the games he started and finished.
