  1. Andre Reed & Eric Moulds. A number one is a dominant player who the qb trusts to make a play. Size is a plus but not required. Their productivity makes success for the QB and team. They come through in clutch situations, even when the pass is not perfect. I thought Sammy would be that player, but that was a fail. Bills have not had one since Moulds.
  2. I forgot about that play since it wasn’t a completion. You are right though. It was a real smart play for a rookie to make. Another good sign that he may have what it takes to be good.
  3. I doubt that this horrible int gets much media coverage compared to Allen’s. It was about 4x as bad though. Could have been a pick 6...
  4. Correct - not counting throw always, For under 20 yds from line of scrimmage, Allen had 16 completions, 1 incompletion and 1 int. For 20 yds or more from los, he had 8 incompletions, 2 completions and 1 int. While the over 20 completion % isn’t great, he is throwing them and forcing the defense to respect that part of his game although it hurts his comp % stats. The number of pass attempts over 20 yds from los is the most of any qb. The only other qb close to that number of attempts is Mahomes.
  5. His last year at Wyoming it was a wreck, just like the Bills line. I actually think that his poor O-line play in college helped just to life in the NFL. Dealing with chaos in the pocket and scrambling is nothing new for him. I was amazed by his escapability in college but didn’t expect it to translate that easily to the NFL. The thing is, the kid is such a big horse with great balance and nimbleness that he can make d linemen miss and when he decides to run, he is faster than anyone thinks.
  6. Before draft, I wanted Darnold first and Allen second. Now I’ll choose Allen over Darnold. Still too early to predict long term outcomes though.
  7. NFL website article on this has a video clip of him making a one handed catch for the Bills. What a joke.... False advertisement.
  8. Amazing they listened to Hughes. Repeat offender deserved what he got. Hopefully this is the end of it with no discrimination by other officials against Hughes.
  9. I have no idea how he is going to turn out but I think the future is very bright for him. He most reminds me of a young Elway. I remember being amazed at the velocity he threw with and with his running ability too. He could beat you either way. I never paid attention to young Favre so cant comment on him. Any comparisons to Kelly need to take into consideration that Bills fans never saw Jim as a rookie. He had already made his rookie mistakes in the USFL for 2 years.
  10. The Sunday night broadcast just said that JA ran for 812 yards in game action today! Hopefully he doesn’t wear out his wheels.
  11. Kiko was the spy on Allen today and Allen just burned them on the ground. Allen played great for a rookie in his position with the talent he has around him. The good new is that Allen is still improving. He has a real high ceiling. Lets just enjoy the ride with him.
  12. Aaron Rogers sucks too. 31/50 233 yds, 1 TD
  13. Something set Jerry off. Hopefully nothing further comes if this.
  14. Hunt must be spending too much time with Tyreek Hill who plead guilty to punching and choking his pregnant girlfriend in 2015.
  15. That is super awesome!!! I hope he stays on the team for years to come.
  16. Elway is who he reminds me of most also. Crazy legs with a canon arm. I think the comparison is valid.
  17. Ramsey’s mouth is annoying but Allen did it best by shutting him up with his play on the field. Props to Ramsey for the good sportsmanship at the end.
  18. The officials are working for Brady & Belichick on that ejection.
  19. McDermott is a widely respected coach in the league. He was respected last year for getting us to the playoffs. Everyone wants instant results every year. This team needs stability at the top so schemes are not constantly changing every 2 years. Next year they will get the offense improved. It all takes time and doesn't happen in one year.
  20. That is the story of this organization. You left out the part of the former players starting for other winning teams.
  21. I've never been someone to root for tanking, but this is the year for it. If Allen isn't playing, there is no reason to win. If he is playing, his teammates should be in full effort helping him to succeed. Let Allen sit, heal and learn from the bench. The only way they can screw this up is to start winning meaningless games ending up with a middling record.
  22. Losses don't really matter without Allen playing. At some point, I'm sure the players on the team realize that too. We are just moving towards higher draft position next year. I just wish they were more competitive in their loss. This is the rebuild year we all expected last year to be.
  23. As much as it pains me to say this, I can't see how a win with Anderson at QB helps us. We are not a playoff team and wins with Anderson will only result in lower draft position next year. Hopefully Zay continues to show development. Colts 20 - Bills 17.
  24. I love the defense and depth they have there. Hopefully they can put a strong focus on improving the offense in the upcoming off season. McDermott knows defense. Hopefully he can be as successful with the offense next year.
