  1. It was on Fox & friends this AM, or whichever news I had on in the background. Either fox or CBS. Given that the likely outcome of this is that Gronk gets away with it, why on earth wouldnt the bills go after Brady next game? Sad thing is, I dont think the Bills even have a player that could hurt Gronk, they're a team of tissue paper and sour cream. On the other hand, Brady is still one good knee shot from having his career ended. At this point who cares, the Bills suck, the pats are cheating scumbags, and the rest of the league/fans would thank whatever sacrificial player on the Bills did it.
  2. came here to post this, beaten like the Bills this sunday
  3. I'll be the voice in the wilderness here and say mccarron. He won't be super expensive, and I think he has a lot of untapped skill. He also has fire in the belly, which we havent seen in a Bills QB in a loooooong time
  4. something about buckling pants and climaxing? it's a little early for all this
  5. with no end in sight. i bet brady sees 2 more starting bills QBs before he declares his career over. Here's the existential question, how many years will Brady's record stand, or how long will it be before the Bills have a QB with that many TDs and wins in Buffalo over a given period? I'm not sure how long SDS is going to keep at it here, but i'll lay the marker at 20 years
  6. I sure hope Brady doesnt know about this he'll drop 6 TDs on us just to make a permanently unassailable record, forcing the City of Buffalo to tear down the stadium, salt the ground, and put one of these things over it
  7. did you see the koolaid comic
  8. Agreed. The difference between the worst teams and this one is at least those teams made the appearance of trying, these overpaid losers were acting like it was a big nuisance to them. Can they apply to transfer to the CFL? I think they could be a .500 team in the CFL
  9. this is great. I got 'reliance on turnovers' the wheel knows!
  10. I love the optimism! On the other hand, The Buffalo Bills
  11. maybe you should do us all a favor, and consider being less of a sexist ass?
  12. yes, because women are all irrational harpies incapable of anything other than jealous sniping. Nice casual misogyny, bro
  13. Societies change, and the acceptance of gays was well on it's way by the time the supreme court made it's ruling. In any case, it's interesting to observe, i have a few gay friends and they hate 'trannies', especially my lesbian friends. The delicate rainbow coalition cannot possibly hold because it's full of people working at cross purposes to eachother
  14. you ask a professional psychologist, they'll tell you that the professional literature on the topic says that yes, it's a mental illness, and it affects about 1/10th of 1% of real actual humans. We have a lot of people play acting at being trans out there, attention seeking behavior.
  15. So i've mentioned in a few other posts how ESPN mag had shifted over the last 5 or so years from a less informative Sports Illustrated into a full on Social Justice tryhard magazine. One of the hallmarks of this transition was the last page, which was once used for whimsey or statistical oddities, had become an increasingly strident grievance column, to the point where it was basically unreadable. Lo and behold, today's issue comes (I didn't cancel my subscription to insider this year, even though I meant to, so I'm still getting the mag) and the last page isn't another diatribe against the evils of American culture, but rather the end of the NBA preview. For the first time in a while, i paged through the magazine, and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was largely about sports! I'm left wondering, is it possible that ESPN has belatedly realized that pissing off your core audience, and getting louder and more obnoxious about it, probably isn't a smart long term play? We shall see, but now rather than putting them strait into the recycle bin, I'll actually give it a shot again.
  16. Agreed, plus i'd hope that MD realizes that this is hurting his future market value. even if we find a sucker partner to take his contract on, he's not going to get another contract like this one
  17. Im sure the Bills will do whatever makes the most cap sense - get rid of Dareus in whatever way minimizes the long term damage he's done, but as soon as possible within that constraint, because it's not worth the risk of his attitude becoming a contagion
  18. I've been really happy with the evolution of the D this year. They're generating a lot of pressure with the front 4 against QBs who get the ball out pretty quick, and are still blanketing the receivers. I'm actually looking forward to Sunday - i think you might be right, this could be the coming out party
  19. This is where I am. Nice to get my Sunday afternoons back so early in the season but this team isn't built to overcome adversity, or, you know, score points against NFL level competition. We'll still have a couple highpoints, maybe beat Miami or something, but i told myself a long time ago, if the product is boring Jauron like football, there is zero reason to watch. It's the season for fall colors, hiking, apple picking, seriously, why waste more time watching run run pass punt? Having said that, i'm not sure I have any faith that the new regime will spend their 379 draft picks wisely, but i guess tune in again this time next year to see!
  20. I guess we know why he's such a smug jerk. Whaley gave him a contract that makes him essentially immune to discipline. What could possibly go wrong? I'm coming around to the idea of just cutting him and take the hit this year and next if need be. It's hard to imagine him having a miraculous turn around and becoming a productive positive player for the Bills.
  21. Hmm, i did not know that. Do they have to have him practice with the team? does he have to practice with the starters? what flexibility does management have in this situation to mitigate the damage he continues to do? edit: this is probably dumb but what if they put him on the practice squad? what are the implications for the salary cap in that case if someone else claims him? Or is he not eligible for the PS any more? I'm glad my employees don't have a NFL contract!
