  1. What endorsement can Doug Whaley make if he just said this: "There's a process in place (when it comes to making a coaching move). But ultimately it is the owners' decision"
  2. Every day is Festivus.
  3. Maybe the Pegulas are hiring him as president of the football operation. A guy experienced enough to keep Brandon away from football meetings, as an evaluator to Whaley's job and to give Rex Ryan some perspective on his future in this league as a coach. Rex might want to listen to someone that won 2 superbowls against his greatest nemesis. Rex will be back next year but with the friendly reminder that he needs to be more flexible with the defense and open to bring an experienced DC, like Bradley, so he can solely focus on the HC duties.
  4. That is because the good teams, put a spy on TT, crowd the defensive backfield and play mostly Cover 2 guarding the sidelines. The same happened with JP Losman, then happened with Edwards, and finally happened with EJ, dare the young QB to be patient in the pocket and throw with anticipation. At times TT can find the receivers and when he doesn't he gets out of trouble running for positive yards. His next stage in development would be to be able to beat that cover shell, but his conservative play (either by his own nature or HC philosophy) prevents him from taking that next step.
  5. I know the secondary wasn't tested much against the Steelers and Browns, but Corey White hasn't been a total disaster at safety, at least so far.
  6. National? look at the comments from the thread starter, he's already decided this is a negative and everything is falling apart. The guy with elite talent wants the ball, oh no!!!!
  7. How the hell can you be at odds with your HC's philosophy after you bring him a hybrid LB/DE, an all around LB from a winning program and a versatile defensive tackle (then a late CB) through the draft and plus two LBs in FA. It would be insane for Whaley to give his HC all the tools he asked for and then do a 180º and turn against him. I'm starting to think this is all a media driven and not an in house disfunction. I'm not saying the FO and coaches are happy this defense doesn't quite work consistently but I can see a lot of people outside of the organization making things bigger than they are.
  8. 0:42 second mark, Shaq doesn't get in the stat sheet, but he disrupts the play and Preston gets the tackle for loss.
  9. We need a John Harbaugh type coach, married to no system. A leader, a no BS man without the ego and with the ability to change and adapt.
  10. And to think the Bears traded Olsen to the Panthers for a 3rd round pick. Just crazy.
  11. I was watching ESPN the other day (and no, it wasn't ESPN the "ocho") and they were showing a bunch of dudes on an old factory flying drones through obstacles. I said WTF, well, it seems there's a league and all. Some of the guys quit their jobs to get better at it. "That's rad" Pepper Brooks. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/15/sports/drone-racing-espn-sky.html http://www.espn.com/moresports/story/_/id/17544727/drone-racing-league-espn-announce-broadcasting-agreement
  12. I have to say it's a very interesting data. Then Bellichick found Brady...
  13. he returns punts so I hope Humber or Alexander can put some nice hits on that douche.
  14. If you don't like Whaley the article is perfect. If you somewhat belive that Whaley is a good talent evaluator and works well with other people (he brought everything Rex wanted for the D) the article has some serious flaws in it.
  15. He was a Jauron/Brandon pick.
  16. I compare him to Cameron Jordan from the Saints. Jordan started slow his rookie year to make a jump in his second year. With no training camp and going into his 9th game as a pro I can't say I'm disappointed with him, in fact, he has shown some flashes that he could become a solid player. time will tell.
  17. Dear diary: Finally! My voodoo doll finally paid off, I knew it would work. That old hispanic woman from the Santeria shop was right all along, I will have to send her some sort of gift for the services. Better yet I'll go down myself, I'll let her take my picture and she can start selling Doug miracle's card. We're gonna be rich, scratch that, I'm already rich, thanks to Kim and Terry, lolers..... This plan can't fail. The voodoo doll already paid dividends, now it's time for Khan (aka Mr Whiskers, lol, I kill myself at times) to make a decision, those bologna sandwiches had to make an impression on him. PS: kidnapp Nat for a week until they make it official, I can't let that brat steal my thunder again. pffts, offensive coordinator my ass.
  18. The dolphins shut down our running game and dared TT to make plays with his arm. They were blitzing like crazy early and when Shady shut it down with that injury we didn't give Dizzy an opportunity to show his skills. We need to keep pounding, their LBs are fast but not that big, we might need to have a more direct approach running the football.
  19. and for the most part two games away from making the post-season, so close yet so far.
  20. Keep Glenn at LT. Make a good "mix tape" of Cujo playing LT, trade him for a 2nd round pick, if you can't, keep him for depth. Sign Andrew Withworth for the next two years to play RT, he is still balling at 35 years old. Re-sign Mills for one year and draft a RT in 2018.
