  1. Why? He was a disaster with the Broncos. He acted like an entitled brat all his tenure there. He had problems with Cutler and Marshall from the get go, then traded both, He drafted Tim Tebow in the first round to be his franchise QB. Check this out. I know people grow up, probably that is the case for Josh McDaniels, but that doesn't make him the best HC candidate out there. Could he become one and be great? Maybe but I don't know if that is written in stone.
  2. no doubt about that, but we're the ones that will have to listen to the doom and gloom if Lynn is named HC after a thourough (key word here) interview process.
  3. I want nothing to do with Bill Bellichick's minions.
  4. I really like Coughlin, but I also would like to have HC stability, I want a guy that can last at least 10 years at this job.
  5. of course, but it's our fans, not to mention he has worked for us for two years. If you're a negative fan, you hate the prospects of Lynn being HC for this team, because he would be Whaley's puppet, because we did not interview other people, because Lynn isn't high profile and so on. I urge people to see his coaching credentials and what people say about him, besides, he took a system that wasn't his, adapted on the fly and made it work. Yes, there were some awful plays here and there, but the overall job he did was impressive. He had a top 10 scoring offense with Tyrod Taylor as his QB.
  6. I'm afraid fans don't like Lynn because he has worked for Ryan for 7 years.
  7. If Lynn had accomplished what he accomplished here with another team, fans would be viewing him as top candidate for the HC job. He has 17 years of experience on an NFL sideline, coaching for guys like Shanahan, Parcells, Del Rio and Rex Ryan. He was a former player, so he can relate to his players and for what we saw this year, they responded to his coaching. He took something that wasn't his (Roman's offense) and made it work, he simplified it and adapted on the fly. Just because he was with us for two years doesn't mean he is the wrong choice for the job.
  8. I would like to have Coughlin as our HC, my opinion is not the thruth, I'm not an insufferable idiot.
  9. who could we bring as HC then? mmm... the guy in my avatar would be nice.
  10. then, I better bookmark that Brady pick six.
  11. http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2009091400/2009/REG1/bills@patriots#menu=gameinfo%7CcontentId%3A09000d5d812a17b6&tab=videos
  12. You can say that again... again Exactly, we need this guy to be our HC.
  13. You're missing the point Hardcore, by doing this, now the responsibility lays solely on Whaley's shoulders, as it should have been when he was appointed GM of this team. If the next HC fails, I will blame him.
  14. Next year will be the last year of his current deal. I say we keep him for next year and see what happens. The question is, Groy becomes RFA at the end of this year, what tender do we place on him?
  15. This, so much. I saw it today and loved it. Great entertainment, though I saw it on 3D which I hated. Never again 3D for me.
  16. How can a GM undermine his HC in the middle of the season when four months earlier he brings that HC via draft, a hybrid DE/LB. a middle LB, a versatile DL and a CB, plus three linebackers (Brown, Alexander, Spikes) (Whaley failed with Blanton) in FA. Ryan promised the owners he would give them a better defense than he inherited. Rex Ryan failed at that promise, in fact the defense got worse in his watch.
  17. his rookie season, while he played in another system says otherwise.
  18. wow, you're so funny......
  19. Maybe, like with Kyle Williams, they can restructure their base salaries. Aaron Williams is the wildcard, though. If he retires, we will have to address the position.
  20. tell me how bad can this defense be, with a simple 43 defense: LDE: Shaq Lawson DT: Marcell Dareus DT: Kyle Williams RDE: Jerry Hughes WLB: Zach Brown (should be re-signed) MLB: Reggie Ragland SLB: Preston Brown LCB: Ronald Darby S: Corey White S: Corey Graham/Aaron Williams (if he can play) RCB: Stephon Gilmore (if re-signed for reasonable money TOP 10 CB) Zach Brown should be easily re-signable. Gilmore not so much, but if you can't re-sign him, Seymour, Robey and a new draftee will have to step up, plus they won't be asked to be the focal point on the defense.
  21. I like EJ, but that ship has sailed. Marrone should have never benched him with a 2-2 record. Obviously.
