  1. All of those things you just mentioned, you get better with practice, so yes, it's Rex's fault, because he doesn't care about it or his players don't think getting better at their craft is important.
  2. Firechan, is that you?
  3. 7. Cyrus Kouandjio, T, Buffalo Bills Playing left tackle, Cyrus Kouandjio avoided the devastation that was wreaked on the other side by Cameron Wake, but against Miami, he was pretty much flawless. He didn’t allow any QB pressures at all over 46 snaps of pass protection, and his run blocking was excellent, helping the Bills to rack up 272 rushing yards at 5.6 yards per carry. https://www.profootballfocus.com/pro-10-best-players-from-the-weekends-nfl-action/?utm_content=buffer6fabc&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=nfl
  4. no doubt, but the only way to do that is to keep bringing them in (QBs) and you have to keep developing them. Keep the offense that produced a top 10 in scoring, the OL is kept togheter and you have two QBs knowing the system going into the next year. You hope to implement more passing to the equation, by repetition and development. The QB that can't get better is tossed aside while you bring more competition to the position.
  5. In 2014 this roster produced the 4th best defense in points allowed. This tells me that when well coached this roster is good enough. In 2016 this roster produced the 7th best offense in points scored. This tells me that when well coached this roster is good enough. Conclusion, get good coaching on both sides of the football (at the same time) and get a consistent kicker, good results will follow.
  6. You don't take him. You have an elite player at the position, a more than solid player backing him up, plus a rookie that sees playing time on third downs. (good at pass pro)
  7. Exactly, look at the PFF list of best D performers in yesterday's game, young players and system players. Top defensive grades: LB Ramon Humber, 79.7 CB Ronald Darby, 78.6 DI Leger Douzable, 78.0 DI Adolphus Washington, 75.1 CB Corey White, 74.3 No Dareus, no Hughes, no Kyle Williams. Corey White missed a tackle badly on a Landry WR screen, but it's two weeks in a row where shows that he belongs, hopefully he's versatile and can play different schemes going forward.
  8. Hopkins had a groin injury entering the season and we signed Carpenter, who was excellent his first year.
  9. Brooks is in Philly with McKelvin.
  10. I really don't see Rex changing his defensive system or philosophy, so is it really smart to keep him? He inherited a top 5 defense, he probably promised the Pegulas that the defense wouldn't miss a bit. In his second year, the defense is getting worse.
  11. Can Glenn play on the right side of the line? Won't his technique suffer from the change? IIRC he always played LG at Georgia, why would it be easy for him to transition to RT but not for Cujo? I think they should give Cujo another shot at RT before making big changes.
  12. Continuity without Rex. The continuity that the Pegulas should have kept with Schwartz's defense. Keep the unit that works, and try to fix the defense. Better than to install two new philosphies to the two respective units. Lynn as HC, OC of his choice that follows his philosophy and as KOKBILLS says a guy like Bradley to run the defense. Follow the Ravens blueprints, hire failed HC that are good coordinators (Ravens OC the last few years: Cam Cameron, Gary Kubiak, Marty Mornhingweg, Mark Trestman) Also fire Carpenter and the ST coach, let him follow Marrone to wherever he is going. Keep TT, see if he can handle a more open playbook and keep developing Cardale Jones.
  13. Good to see they pay attention to every player in the league. I rather have someone like Captain Munnerlynn (numbers below) than overpaying for Gilmore. Market Value3 yrs, $25,608,782 Avg. Salary: $8,536,261 NFL Rank: #138 CB Rank: #19
  14. I would like to have him back at a fair market value and then I would bring coaches that can teach fundamentals. Whaley tried to re-sign him at aproximately 10-11 mill per year. He wanted to be payed like a top 5 CB. Let's see what spotrac says about his market value Market Value4 yrs, $43,814,944 Avg. Salary: $10,953,736 NFL Rank: #69 CB Rank: #9 http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/stephon-gilmore-9820/market-value/
  15. - lack of contain for a Dolphins TD. I think it was Hughes. - bad tackling by Gilmore on the Parker TD. (notice the same tackling form by the Phins player that injured himself on that fantastic Clay TD) - overpusuit on a simple WR screen to Landry that instead of 3rd and 20, it became 3rd and 5 that they converted. - week 15 and the defense still has communication issues. - TT had a very good game yesterday, but he couldn't read the option all game, the Phins were not going to get beat by it. Throw the ball to the endzone or give it to DIzzy or McCoy. - stupid kicker We needed to win to make the playoffs, the defense, hence Ryan and his henchmen, failed miserably.
  16. Rex: Your forhead makes me want to play some racketball Chris Brown:.....
  17. Maybe he could be our John Harbaugh, though I won't lie to you, first time I hear his name.
  18. What endorsement can Doug Whaley make if he just said this: "There's a process in place (when it comes to making a coaching move). But ultimately it is the owners' decision"
  19. Every day is Festivus.
  20. Maybe the Pegulas are hiring him as president of the football operation. A guy experienced enough to keep Brandon away from football meetings, as an evaluator to Whaley's job and to give Rex Ryan some perspective on his future in this league as a coach. Rex might want to listen to someone that won 2 superbowls against his greatest nemesis. Rex will be back next year but with the friendly reminder that he needs to be more flexible with the defense and open to bring an experienced DC, like Bradley, so he can solely focus on the HC duties.
