  1. Yeah but we're talking about an old rusty Pacer with a 4 on the floor.
  2. Give us some examples of the crazy ideas and lack of logic that you see?
  3. And I thought I visited this board to debate the issues facing our nation. Silly me. Problem is, we can't get a single lib to stay on topic or actually support their positions with facts or even a well constructed opinion.
  4. No LOL. In the first 2 months of dating her, I sold the Pacer and got something more respectable. That girl is now my wife of 22 years. If not for the car change, it might have tanked. She had higher expectations.
  5. I have a very hard time with artsy fartsy libs like the cat.
  6. Funny shyt. Mr. Hedd is certainly a glutton for punishment.
  7. I had a girlfriend and an AMC Pacer.
  8. Really? Why should we not be galled by an organization that mis-uses federal funds and participates in voter fraud?
  9. No, no, no. I lived through Jauron twice being in Chicago and can't do Lovie II.
  10. So Michelle Bachmann would be a villain for wanting the census to be administered accurately?
  11. How about this as an American agenda that both parties could adopt? I'll just call it a common sense agenda. One designed to conquer the big issues and help incumbents get re-elected (that's what they want). There is common ground on the big issues. Find it. Put it to work. 1. National Debt - The numbers ($12 trillion and climbing fast) cry out for action. Only sensible way to stop the bleeding and chip away at the debt is for the Federal Government to go on a very strict diet and cut spending dramatically. You have to be blind not to see this. Yes there will be pain, some will lose government jobs and the entitlement spending must be reduced. Must find ways to transition people out of entitlements. We are breeding generations of people who consume these programs. Have to stop that process. Medicare and Social Security have to be funded since people paid into that. If there are savings opportunities there, find them. 2. Health care - Any plan that funds only 6 years of benefits with 10 years of taxes is a bad plan. President can thank house and senate for their efforts but tell them to go back to the drawing board. Too expensive and the chance that it will be well over budget too great. Try again. Imagine the public trust that Obama would receive if he did this. 3. Wars - Stick to Iraq plan which gets us mostly out of there in a couple years. Take more aggressive approach with our Allies for help in Afganistan. Demand more support. Remind them of what the US has done for them. If no support offered, take a hard stance. We still have the upper hand in these relationships. Leverage it. Same goes for N. Korea, Iran and any others. Simply do not accept the rest of the world's inaction. We can hurt all of them economically and politically if it comes to that. How often have we asked for help throughout history? Play the card. 4. Economy - This is our best chance to solve numbers 1 and 2 above. As elected officials, you have access the best economic and business minds out there. Take advantage of that. Figure out what it will take to capitalize on emerging industries such as energy. Figure out how to increase domestic manufacturing. Set bold economic policies and get the hell out of the way. Moving the economy forward will be very tough and deserves a tireless effort. Find a way, get it done. Failure is not an option! 5. Immigration - As a nation we simply cannot afford to waste a dime on illegal immigrants and polls have shown that a big majority of Americans want the borders more secure. Secure it. Period. Tell those that are here illegally to leave. Deport them whenever possible. Send a strong message that if you enter the country incorrectly, you will be asked to leave and services will not be provided. Hammer employers that hire them.
  12. I think Shanny ends up in Chicago with Cutler.
  13. 49er's have lost to mostly good teams and have beaten last year's conference champs. Their schedule gets much easier.
  14. I would anticipate the President requesting a new government agency responsible for the correct implementation and enforcement of these zones. A number of jobs would be created with this agency, and the employees will receive excellent health care benefits and a nice retirement plan.
  15. I listen to lib talk on the radio once a week or so to stay in tune with the left (wrong) side. This morning, Bill Press (who is a lightweight) had some White House spokeswoman on who spoke about the Senate bill providing preventative care (doctor visits) at no cost to 10's of millions of people who don't have access to preventative care now. I thought, WTF? No access? So if you don't have insurance you can't go to the doctor? Bullcrap. When I was a kid if my Mom thought I might have a strep throat, she took me to the Doctor who checked me out, did a test and sent me home with a prescription. My mom wrote a check for the doctor visit before we left the Doctor's office. You can still do that today. Not expensive. What a common sense approach. Don't bother the insurance company for the small stuff, and don't pay the premium for simple doctor visit coverage. We had insurance for "hospitalization" or other catastophic care. What a common sense approach. Obama doesn't get this (common sense). That's why his approval rating is tanking. Everything he stands for belies common sense.
  16. I'm beginning to dislike him as a person a lot. When he speaks he avoids the truth with vague and veiled ideas. For example, He said in front of Congress that health care reform will not cover illegals. A few days later he speaks to a Hispanic group and discusses health care and says that he will push for comprehensive immigration reform. This is simply code for amnesty-like reform which will then provide them with coverage at taxpayer expense. Dishonesty is a poor trait.
  17. Yes, and if you don't think highly of his talent, give Cowher a lot of credit for getting the most out of him.
  18. No. I want to choose what light bulbs are in my home (which includes energy savers). I don't want increased energy costs at my home or place of business. I don't want to be told that I have to change my hot water tank, lighting fixtures, furnace, windows and roof shingles as a requirement before I can sell my home when I retire. Cap and tax has requirements such as this. For the record I do want clean energy and don't want the government driving up the cost for that.
  19. Clip is from last year. She's a peach.
  20. Agree. Hard to tell good GM candidates that your coach has already been hired.
  21. I can't imagine why any experienced coach would agree to a deal now without pursuing the other potential openings. Not because it's Buffalo, but because they want to look at several options. I do think that if Ralph makes some noise among the higher profile coaching candidates soon that you might see other teams launch their coaches before the end of the year so that they aren't late to the coach hiring party.
  22. Doesn't matter if they do or not. Obama and Co. are going to tell you what bulbs you have to use. Probably whatever GE can produce.
  23. I'm not saying the slippage in play is due to concussions. However, we really don't know why he isn't playing right now and it might be due to that. Time will tell if he has a problem or not.
  24. Some jackass on CNN yesterday reported that the US holds the big cards in the movement toward global climate control, and since Republicans were holding things up in this country, they were essentially blocking the world effort.
