Obama sells out America again
keepthefaith replied to Alaska_Darin_Is_Gay's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I wouldn't say that. Da Big Man is more likely a conservatively principled individual. Nothing wrong with that. That simply is the ideology that most closely resembles our constitution and the Bill of Rights. -
How close are you to being done with the NFL?
keepthefaith replied to Hossage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Add the music industry to that. Spent the evening last night watching 3 hour Eagles concert DVD from 2004. Very lttle today measures up to that or the dozens of other great bands and performers from past decades. -
As much as I want to crap on the Bills' personnel people, there are simply too many talented players who have underachieved over the past several years. I point the finger at the coaching overall. Better coaches would get more productivity IMO. Also, you have no idea how many times I have tried to squash that bug on the left side of my screen.

Yup. I think it's time we told the football Gods that enough is enough. Bills fans have paid an ample price for the priviledge of playing in 4 straight Superbowls. It's time for the hex to be removed and placed elsewhere. Best wishes to Eric for a full recovery and for the Bills as well.

Unsubstantaiated Rumor about Trent Edwards
keepthefaith replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's rather mean spirited especially if he is having problems due to the concussions. We don't know. -
My guess is Jauron saw it coming. He knows what it looks like.

JP Losman and the Loco's vs Sentinels 9pm EST, Tonight
keepthefaith replied to a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not saying that. Just said he'd be back in the NFL, as a backup at least. Just my opinion after seing him play a couple games. He looks good. -
Maybe there was an incident along the way, but he does not show that he has the intestinal fortitude needed at the QB position IMO. You don't see much leadership from the guy and he appears to play with more fear than confidence. Bad traits for a QB. He spent to much time with Jauron.

Some of us care. Brooks Bollinger the FL QB is having a great season and I'd bet he'll be in an NFL uniform next year. JP is having a good year also. Has about a 100 QB rating. Hope he does well in his last 2 games this year. -

Obama's Presidency will be historical in about 3 years if he continues the assault. -

Both parties debated the topic before the last election, but I will give Democrats credit for moving the issue out into the open. Doesn't sound to me like you've heard or read about the Republican proposed alternatives. Also doesn't sound to me like you looked closely at the issue and what the Dems are proposing. There are some alarming components of the thing that would concern anyone. Cost, taxation, limiting choices, cutting benefits, creation of 110 new government agencies, adding substantially to the deficit, who benefits and who doesn't. Hard to believe that any American would not be troubled by what has been proposed unless you stand to gain from it and don't care what that costs, who pays and who makes the choices. -

How many times would somehave to read it in order to understand 2000 pages of tangled and twisted legal mumbo jumbo. Then, after reading it several times and finally understanding it, how much time would be needed to discuss the contents in order to consider what the bill does and does not provide? How much time to consider what changes should be made? How much time to hear and address the questions, comments and suggestions from all 100 Senators? How much time then to determine what changes should be incorporated? How much time for all of the revisons to reviewed? Points are these: Reading it is nowhwere near enough and just reading and understanding it is a very large task. If ample time to do what is described above (which is months at least) is not provided then rest assured that proper review and revisions aren't taking place. Biggest problem of all of course is the bill itself and what it contains. -

Yup, try to watch at least a little each day. Also watch other networks, some of which lean more in your direction. Typically if you channel surf 2-3 news channels you'll find each network reporting on some different things. Not just the big headliners which they all cover. Fox is the only network that has has the courage to consistently challenge the debacles going on in Congress and the white house. O'Reilly has a great show and of course you're aware that FOX is getting very high ratings and climbing. You should watch O'reilly once in a while. Might help your equalibrium. Did you happen to see the MSNBC coverage of Palin's signing in Michigan? The part where they report that only white people are at the signing? What did you think of that?

Tell us why it shouldn't be stalled? It's 2000 pages of far reaching change and expense. Shouldn't it be closely studied? What do you like about it? -

Hey Joe, Republicans have offered a number of ideas to reform health care. Some look like good common sense ideas. I would really challenge you to take a close look at the proposed health care reform and conclude for yourself even privately that what's proposed is a good solution, the best we can do. The right way to fix the system. Look at the real costs and how it's assembled. I'd be surprised if you gave it an honest look and came to the conclusion that it's a good way to go. One that's worth the cost, what it adds to the deficit and the controls it will exert on businesses and individuals. -
FAR TOO FEW are paying attenion. Far too few that are paying attention are making enough noise. I recall that Bush had an approval rating of under 20% during his last year or so in office. The point is this, those numbers say that even Republicans didn't like the job he was doing. At what point do Democrats look at what the heck is going in with this Congres and the White House and start voicing objection and disapproval? How bad does it have to get before poll numbers reflect disapproval across party lines? Certanly any thinking Democrat has to look at all the spending and start wondering (out loud) what the heck they're doing. Right? The Doc fix bill is a blatant piece of deceit and shows that the house Dems will stop a nothing to pass this ugly and bloated health care reform. It's outrageous. Looks to me that the party of "It's OK as long as I don't have to pay for it" cares not about the cost or the trickery used to get it done. It's simply about winning, winning at all cost.
