  1. I like the Vikings to go to the Superbowl in the NFC if they get a first round bye. Being in Chicago and seeing/hearing Singletary in recent years was enough to convince me the guy would be a winner as a head coach. In addition to his passion, he's a bright guy, commands respect and is a tireless worker. Big miss that the Bills didn't interview him when Jauron was hired IMO. Modrak and Guy, it's been nice knowing ya. Bills have to get solid on the O-line in a hurry. #1 priority in my book. QB = 1a, DL = 1b. Ralph being so old and the uncertainty of the future of the team is a big limitation in hiring a coach IMO. Top coaches want stable ownership. Ralph could easily be gone or unable to lead in a couple years. I predict Ralph will annouce intentions to sell at least a portion of the team in less than a year. I have my reasons for believing this. No facts just a strong hunch. I have never believed him when he stated he would not sell the team before his death.
  2. Do our country a favor and stay home on each election day.
  3. Will make an attempt at a serious answer to your idea. 1. We can't trust them to leave when they're done eating. 2. Our current immigration system has requirements for coming here short and long term, none of the peple here illegally have met that criteria and they have come here in numbers far greater than our nation allows or wants. 3. Giving them SS numbers rewards their illegal behavior with something extremely valuable, US citizenship. 4. Our economy cannot afford to provide the services that illegals are consuming (education, health care and criminal justice to name a few). 5. No jobs should be filled by people that came here illegally as opposed to American citizens. 6. The Mexican culture and the character of Mexicans is far different from Americans. Corruption and deceit are more prevailant. That's not being racist, it is what it is. We don't need more of that culture here. 7. Can't think of a single benefit to the US in granting amnesty compared to requiring them all to leave.
  4. Yes, I believe Trent like many other ex or soon to be ex-bills will do better elsewhere. The Bills have not operated with a environment conduscive to winning in a long time. It's all in the numbers.
  5. A good case could be made that allowable immigration should be based to some extent on employment numbers. More unemployment = less immigration. Illegal immigration should never be tolerated. Another good case could be made to take the lleast productive 10% of Americans and ship them to Mexico. Simplest way to solve unemployment and reduce entitlement costs. Would light a fire under a lot of peple as well. We'd need better border security to keep them from coming back.
  6. You can't be for real.
  7. I never said the bulk of crime was committed by illegals, but if you do some research you'll find that the crime rate among hispanics (legal or otherwise) is quite high and that a lot of crime is commited by illegals. Baby boomers paid into Social Security and Medicare their entire working lives. They and their employers have paid for the benefits. The Feds haven't managed that money very well. There is no shortage of a workforce here, and you could argue that we have too many workers with unempoyment what it is. You can't be for more jobs and support illegal immigration. We need Americans only filling every job possible.
  8. I agree with some of this. Slavery, bringing people here for the wrong reason, has turned out very badly for our country. Illegal immigration, people here for the wrong reason, will have a similar result IMO. Americans overall resent that they are here due to the crime that is committed and the burdening of services. That's at the root of the racism or just animosity toward tis ethnic group. Illegal immigration is a huge negative that as been mostly ignored by both parties.
  9. Plenty. I've done business in Mexico, have employed Mexican (legal) immigrants in our business and have several as clients. Had some lanscaping done too! A poor experience overall.
  10. Yeah and still many do. From the reports of the Copenhagen meetings, one thing should be clear to Obama - he needs to focus on domestic issues plus the 2 wars and back burner all the climate crap. China and India don't care, poor nations want money and the likes of Chavez and others can't be reasoned with. Man made global warming is in question. This thing drops way down the prority list IMO but I'm more inclined to doubt Obama will see it that way.
  11. The big problem is the growth of the entitlement class compared to the productive class. You can analyze that by race, age or whatever. That is the most telling shift in our society IMO. The invasion (it is an invasion) of Mexican's over the past 4 decades or so (and the looming amnesty) looks like a disaster in the making. It will and already has resulted in the next wave of racism. There is great animosity among many Americans toward Mexican illegal immigrants because they have been able to come here for the wrong reasons, commit crimes, take jobs and consume taxpayer funded services. They would be more welcomed if they came here properly. Our Politicians are blind to this. Additionally we are importing a group of people who generally speaking have low education, low skills, low expectations and often low morality. Very bad for our country IMO.
  12. I live in a nice community that doesn't need gates which also describes the majority of our country on this earth. What fukin planet are you on?
  13. In the words of John Valby, "Al Gore you fukkin bore".
  14. I'd call 5 arrests major. Comparing him to wackos that get arrested 20+ times does not in my mind minimize the significance of being arrested 5 times. It is a sad ending for CH.
  15. How about we do this............ We split the country in 2 geographically, we let the libs choose which half they want. We put the politically conservative in one part and the libs in the other. Form 2 countries. Each country can continue wit the same constitution and form of government. The righties will take the military and agree to defend the lefties. The lefties can provide free health care and the full range of entitlements and special exceptions for all those that ask. The lefties can set taxation at whatever levels they see fit and take the unions and the ACLU and the liberal justices too. The righties will proceed with traditional conservative values and principles. We can split the national debt in two. I wish the lefties the best of luck.
  16. We need a one party govrnment now. A conservative party. We'll need it for consecutive decades in order to get the nation steered back into good economic waters and back to something that more closely reflects the principles of the constitution. The current regime is on a path similar to that of a liar. Once you tell a lie you usually have to commit several more. When the last lie is done, the truth becomes horrible (see Tiger Woods). Congress is writing spending bills one after another like a pathalogical liar lies. They can't help themselves and only know one way to solve most problems. Spend, borrow and tax. When this version of Congress writes their last big spending bill, the truth will be excruciatingly painful.
  17. You're being waaaayyy too polite. Worse than the fear he preaches every time he's pushing trillion dollar agendas is the severely bent truth he speaks. He continues to use the phrase "deficit neutral" when describing both the house and senate health care bills. They aren't. He conveniently avoids the real numbers. I thinks it's fair to call him a liar.
  18. Just one liberal group giving another liberal a pass. Nothing new.
  19. Shucks, we're giving the Chinese near $200 billion now for interest payments. Tell them to invest that in cleaner factories.
  20. What a turn of events. I make a wise crack and you ask a real queston. Usually I ask a question and you make a wise crack.
  21. And yes, Taunton is in the district represented by none other than Barney Frank. It begins to cast a light on the answer to a very difficult question: What kind of people vote for Frank?
  22. No. We good, you bad.
  23. If I were JP's agent, I would have advised him against signing with Oakland, unless it's a 3 week deal. Oakland doesn't look like a good place for any player to resurrect a career.
  24. Black Republicans are despised by the left as though they are "traitors". I believe Dr. King was a Republican and while he displayed extreme passion for equality (and for good reason), he also stood for personal responsibility. Something liberals don't understand.
