  1. Emotions have settled , Bills are in this despite a Int and have a possession to start the 2nd half. Two really good teams .. this will play out to come down to the last minute. Classic game ! Go Bills !!
  2. media is all over it because it's JBJ.. They know nothing. I agree , regardless of what they say they intend to move the team. The fans will never trust them and it would be a seven year NFL disaster.
  3. Jaws is an idiot. He doesn't know what JBJ plans to do. You would think he would be smart enough not to speculate on this subject. He just can't help himself.
  4. A group with intention to move the team would out bid any group committed to stay. The evaluation gap is just too big between TO and Buff to big to expect the WNY group to compete. However, the numbers are so big that the relocation group would have to feel extremely confident they could win legally or get the NFL owners vote for relocation. Nobody is going to roll the dice over 500 million. I expect that was the framework of JBJ lunch conversation with Goodell and what Trump was so adamant that he wouldnt overpay.
  5. The 400 million penalty or any other monetary number written into a contract isn't the obstacle. It's getting the votes from other owners and knowing you will get them before you overpay.
  6. Trent didnt have a chance last year. He has shown enough potential to get one more shot. Chan Gailey will make him a solid starter in this league.
  7. With Stover as the kicker I would have eliminated the kick option completely. With Manning as the QB and the Saints offense clicking... I would have gone for it.
  8. The GM is responsible for the coach. Who is responsible for preparing the players. A couple bad coaching observations from last nights game. - The decision to go conservative at the end of the half was poor. - The decision to kick a 52 yard fg that was way out of range for his kicker was poor - Similar to the 90 Bills, they abandoned the run when it was obviously working - They should have called a TO before the 4th & goal at the end of the game - They were outcoached. One other note -- Nobody is giving the Saints kicker credit. Making three 40+ field goals in a SB is clutch!
  9. There is no question in my mind that Bill Polian is one if not the greatest GM in NFL history. His Bills and Colts teams were dominant for almost an entire decade. However, I think his biggest flaw is his ability to pick a great coach. Levy was a great leader and kept the personalities of the Bills teams in check. However, he was not the best at constructing a gameplan and was often outcoached especially in the big game. Dungy was the same, they beat a weak Chicago team with QB that basically gave the game away. The Colts were again outcoached last night. As great as Polian is at picking a talented roster, he doesnt seem to put enough stock in having the best coach. I admire his loyaly, but there is a good arguement that not having the stones to pull the trigger on a coach that doesnt maximize the players talent is Polian's biggest weakness.
  10. The both get in. Carter gets in first because he has been a high profile broadcaster since he retired. He is more connected than Andre Reed and this is the difference maker. Plus, we had two get in last year... a little hiatus from Bills fans dominating the weekend last year is okay with the HOF. We still have Reed, Tasker and possibly Bennet to go in from the Super Bowl years and then at least 15 years on nobody!
  11. I am glad to see he has turned his life and career around. However, I think there is still a screw or two loose. I wouldn't be surprised to see Anthony with a blatant late hit to Manning that sends him out of the game. He is still a mental midget and the entire defense is charged up becasue of Greggo's comments. Go Colts.
  12. The Bills played the Saints very close until late in the fourth quater. This was early in the year, and points to the fact that this team wasn't that bad before all the injuries hit.
  13. If motivated, he is a force.
  14. Players will come here, but we will obviously need to have the best financial offer. Players are different than coaches, especially entering their second or third contract. While winning is important, they understand that they need to maximize their earning during their short playing career. Not too many will walk from a contract that will clearly pay them more. I am not saying that Willfork is our guy, but to say no big name free agents would come to Buffalo is incorrect and typical cry baby mentality that our fan base has.
