NAACP says blacks have lower credit scores
keepthefaith replied to uncle_chappy's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Exactly. It is a reflection of character and character matters. Same as a driving record which is also used often as a screening tool. -
Maybe the mods will move this thread, but for now I'm gonna bloody your nose. First of all for those on the left, note that most Republicans were also very disappointed with Bush, so no argument there. You're not gonna get any traction pointing the finger at Bush. None. He sucked, we know that. Obama is on record that he supports a single payer health care system, that he believes in a bottom up economy and that large businesses need to be heavily regulated. He vigorously supported an $800 billion stimulus package that has not and will not work even though it was not supported by the majority of Americans and even though top economists said it was a poor approach to our problem. He is now supporting and championing a large, tax laden, expensive government takeover of our health care system. He has done these things and others at a level of expense that greatly acclerates and deepens our national debt. He is pushing his agenda of social and economic justice (his words not mine) at any and all cost. Hisactions support all of this as fact. I challenge you to defend the actions and decisions of this President (as positives) with numbers and facts when weighing the costs and the benefits. . I challenge you to defend how tax increases and spending money we don't have benefits our nation a a whole. I challenge you to defend his actions as the best possible solutions to the issues he is adressing and has addressed.

+2 on the avatar. It's the truest statement on the entire board. Obama doesn't hide his socialist agenda. He's quite open about it.
-
This makes perfect sense (to Obama). You can't tax people or organizations that can't afford to pay, and you need money to further your agenda. Who better to tax than those uncooperative fat cat bankers?
-
Perot did a nice job a presenting problems and solutions with actual numbers and facts. What a concept. It's ridiculous that we don't demand more of that from politicians. Managing to the numbers.

Sounds to me like he is doing what he thinks is best for his career. He might feel that another couple years as an OC might make him a stronger candidate and demand for him might be higher then. He might not view the Buffalo job as one with the best opportunitiy. You have a lousy roster, a very old owner with no apparent succession plan and a potential lockout looming. All of this is potentially disruptive to building a winning program. He looks like a smart guy to me in how he is handling this, preferring to wait for other oportunities. Looks like the Bills are getting a similar response from several candidates for likely the same reasons.

obama pledges 100 million to haiti
keepthefaith replied to uncle_chappy's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Rest assured, we'll be spending billions in Haiti over the next several years. Helping them now is a must, but my strong hunch is that Obama and co. will see this as more than a sort term relief effort over the long haul. -
Amish & other sects can opt out of mandatory HC

So in other words, those that can't afford it have to have it but since they can't afford it someone else has to pay. -
The next Bills head coach will be:

_____________________, a relative unknown in the coaching ranks, accepted the head coaching job in Buffalo after weighing offers from both the Raiders and Bills. ______________ stated in his presser that he felt the Bill's ownership was more stable than that of the Raiders. "Ralph unlike Al Davis is still able to walk without the use of a cane or walker" said _________________. -

I too admire the Amish. Really do. My guess is that soon there will be a large number of inner city Amish exposed that we never knew about. -

Sheep? Come on, defend the actions of your party this past year. Give us the merits of their leadership and actions. Point out for us "sheep" the results. -
Source: Frazier next Bills HC
keepthefaith replied to buffalo1983's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While most fans want to see Cowher be the guy, the fact is, there are guys who have never been head coaches in the NFL who will be very good head coaches when they get the chance. Frazier might be one of those guys if hired. We don't know. Problem is that 10 years of losing and living through the Williams/Malarkey/Jauron years mean that a guy like Frazier will be judged before he holds his first minicamp. -
Will ANYONE take the Bills' HC job?
keepthefaith replied to OldTimer1960's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You as coach would probably mandate that all the players receive the same pay and get equal playing time. -

keepthefaith replied to EasternOHBillsFan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Right now, liberals are looking very much like sheep. It would be very difficult for a thinking person to look at the solutions being crafted in Congress so far this year and after taking a close look at them, support them on their merits. Impossible really. When so many continue to support obvious bad policies and overly expensive solutions, they do take on the appearance of sheep. Bush had an approval rating of under 20% as I recall late in his 2nd term. That to me is evidence that many Republicans recently were not sheep. -
Hawaii can't afford special election
keepthefaith replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Many of those players who play in the Superbowl each year pass on going to the Pro Bowl the week after. Many players didn't like the lengthy travel or the long gap between the end of the season (for those players that don't participate in the playoffs) and the pro bowl game. It'll probably save the NFL some money in these difficult economic times. -
Will ANYONE take the Bills' HC job?
keepthefaith replied to OldTimer1960's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
EZ does it. Sometimes the road to your destination is a bit rough. When they've actually hired someone, you can comment then. Until then we have to hang in there and let this play out. -

Give us some examples of these lies. -
Well you've bottomed out hopfully which is not a bad place to be when things go to shyt. 20 days or get out of the house? Might be too late but I'd get on the horn with the bank and make a deal. Maybe they let you go interest only for a while. One day at a time but make them count. Time to eat matches and shyt fire.
-
If they can be counted in the process we might also be able to handcuff them.
