  1. Several hours later, nobody who is gay has claimed to have been offended by the comment. Apparently it wasn't offensive to the gay people that visit here.
  2. I read another article that said that Lang and others didn't fight back because school rules state that retaliation is punishable at the same level as an instigator. I'm surprised that a bunch of wrestlers didn't take care of Byers but we don't know the actual setting in which this ocurred.
  3. It would be terrific for the domestic auto makers to regain a lot of their lost market share. However, Honda, Toyota, Nissan and other foreign makes employ a lot of Americans with assembly, engineering and marketing operations here. In addition a significant portion of the parts in American cars are produced outside of the US. Job-wise, the pickup we could expect from greater market share by American makes would not be as big as one might think. I look at other industries like electronics and wonder why we can't produce more of that here. Flat screen TVs for example are produced (I believe) without a lot of manual labor. It would seem to me that products built with greater use of automation could be produced with less cost disparity. We've got to keep more cash right here at home.
  4. OK, anyone present who is gay and is offended - please speak up.
  5. He's got Robert Gibbs to do the talking for him. No worries there.
  6. It might help our balance of trade if we simply exported felons.
  7. 12/12 also. Thank you Fox News. If I were an MSNBC watcher, surely I would have failed.
  8. Hands free= eyes on road. Not hands free = eyes on device. At least it solves part of the problem.
  9. Free pass? This will cost them dearly financially. I don't think this issue is worth even a moment of time in front of Congress. There are some defects, recalls are being done, the problems are being fixed. Move on.
  10. I think it's a good law. Texting, email, GPS and music are "phone" functions and large distractions from driving. They ought to restrict shaving, eating and blowjobs while driving too.
  11. Have you seen how Obama voters drive? They need the helping hand of a government program to perform that simple procedure.
  12. Sentence was a bit light IMO given there is a previous record. Kid was cut another break as far as I'm concerned.
  13. Nice idea locking in the rate and giving a strong incentive to get and keep coverage. You gonna be anywhere near Washington on Thursday?
  14. It's far more complicated than I suggested, but a dose of self sufficiency in our society and among our beloved Congress would go a long way. As for the meeting, I expect both parties to present many of the same ideas they have already expressed and neither side to yield much.
  15. Here's the simple fix. Everyone is responsible for maintaining their own health and funding their own insurance policy (coverage of their choice from provider of their choice). If you want to be self insured, go ahead. Just don't expect anyone to bail you out if you can't pay.
  16. I think Congress should look at some of their own recent products (stimulus bill, etc) and recall those.
  17. Sounds like going to the grocery store and buying cans of tuna fish is more cost effective.
  18. OK, but I look forward to his reply. Should be a beauty.
  19. Comedy might be the best fit for Keith. He's on the verge of that now. He can't believe his own B.S.
  20. You can't actually believe what you wrote here, can you? You really think the rich are unproductive? How did they get rich? The poor are productive? How then do they stay poor?
  21. The big hangup is that Obama and the far left want free health care coverage for the unproductive class at the expense of the productive class. That's what they want, but they just won't come out and say that. They'll never get a Republican to support anything that looks like this and they themselves won't support the Republican ideas that address rising costs because those proposals alone don't provide coverage to their audience. Politically the Dems lose either way on this. They piss off the far left without providing a free public option and they lose the independents and center-left if they pass an expensive to tax payers program that benefits primarily the unproductive class, unions, etc... They'll inflame the right either way which will increase Republican turnout in November. The Dems are too committed to their spend and tax solution to find a truly winning solution.
  22. My guess is that as a contractor the IRS came after him for the employers portion of FICA. He had fallen on hard times, didn't have the dough and got pissed. That and he might have a bit of a drug habit. A nut.
  23. Did you read his entire manifesto? This guy's not a right winger as you imply.
  24. http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/799.html 3.5 minutes.
