Let's see, allowing them to unionize would give the them right to strike which means the entire air travel system could come to a grinding halt over a labor contract. Sure, isolated. - Why did the White House send HSS Janet Napolitano and White House spokesperson Robert Gibbs out on the Sunday news programs to say "the system worked."? Because the system did work, it was airport security that failed. Sorry Charlie, they had enough on this guy for a while to rescind the visa. - Why did Napolitano then go on television Monday morning to say that "the system didn't work."? Because unswayables like you would have a !@#$ing conniption if she didn't act "tough on terror." My god, have you listened to this women speak? There is no reason to be high or low on the move. Only the results matter. We'll need a year to make any judgement. Let's spare ourselves all the energy needed to prematurely grade the front office moves, coaching hires, draft, free agent signings and the pre-eason.

Does Janet Napoleatano (however she spells it) make you feel safe? She makes you feel confident that under her leadership Homeland Security will improve? You yourself as President would have looked at all the possible candidates for the job and would have picked her?

I won't go to great lengths to defend teachers but the biggest problem I see in schools is parents. We measure the quality of schools usually by standardized test scores and graduation rates. The numbers for inner city schools are usually horrible compared to suburban schools even when they teach the same subjects from the same textbooks. Big difference between the two are parents and the expectations they set for their kids and the supervision the parents provide. This also effects the hiring process. Quite frankly, many teachers don't want the inner city jobs and not because of money. Personal responsibility on the part of parents and adults is our greatest opportunity to improve education IMO and you can apply the same to nearly every social problem.

Agree. Parity in the NFL? I don't see it except among the middle 1/3 of the teams or so and many games are not close to within 2-3 plays unless all of those are scores. Bills are at least 7 starters (difference makers) and a bunch of coaches (more difference makers) from being a contender. You're not getting that in less than 3 drafts and assuming you make good coaching choices too.

Yes, those in the airport failed. From what I'm reading, we had info on this guy and the visa should have been revoked on that alone. He should not have been sold a ticket in the first place. Apparently we don't have the technology in place to identify these people and deny them plane tickets or any other access into our country. These jokers love to blow up planes and it looks to me like they could blow up 50 of them in one day if they planned accordingly. Scary. At what point do we hold the government of their citizenship responsible? I know Nigeria is a wreck, but if I'm the President, I hold that government responsible as well.

She's worse than that. If you were the President, wouldn't you want a tough minded and experienced person in this job? Someone with a military or intelligence background rather than a career lawyer and politician who has an open border mindset? Janet has to be one of Obama's worst appointees in terms of qualifications. Another Clinton retread who leans very far left. Al Quaeda and company must be laughing their asses off at her. She's an embarrassing pick for this position.

I'm still waiting for anyone from the left side on this board to make a sound defense with facts and numbers of Obama's policies. The President has complete control over his own actions and decisions. Being dealt a tough hand does not support poor decisions and solutions to the hand you're dealt. Dick Jauron inherited a bad team, made many decisions in nearly 4 years that you could argue left the team in even worse shape.

Forget the previous 8 years. Over and done. That doesn't excuse Obama's wreckless fiscal policies and his assault on the productive class as he pushes his agenda for social and economic justice no matter what the cost. Why would we reward those that came here illegally and have already broken our laws? On principle alone you don't do that. If we give them amnesty, should we also give thieves amnesty and not prosecute them and allow them to keep what they have stolen?
