  1. I agree with you. It would be more appropriate to pray that she passed quickly from a fatal disease. Our country would get the same benefit without the controversy or her suffering.
  2. So righties (and even lefties for that matter) should not be bitching about the reckless spending that's going on? You support all the trillion dollar or near that number proposals and "acts" that are being rammed through congress at breathtaking speed?
  3. For the few liberals that read this board, defend your party here. Why is this a good thing?
  4. They have zero regard for the annual deficits or the national debt. Zero. Push their agenda at all cost to stay in power. It is nothing short of criminal in my book.
  5. He's worse than that along with many others. It's a shame and a sham that he can't sell his plan on its merits.
  6. He feels we need to extend unemployment? Maybe he doesn't know that currently the unemployed can get benefits for 99 weeks! Nearly 2 years. This past week we got a love letter from the state of Illinois telling us that our unemployment insurance rate is inceasing by 600% for the next 3 years. No joke! We have 12 employees and have had one unemployment claim in our 6 year history. At the end of 3 years if we don't have more claims, we will have paid into the system more than double the maximum maximum that this individual can draw and benefits past 26 weeks is a federal mandate that supposedly is funded by federal dollars. Another scam. It's nothing more than a $20k per year tax increase thinly disguised. Points 2-5 above simply sound like Stimulus I.
  7. This is disgusting. Fukking Dems only know one way to solve anything. Spend, tax, tax, spend. It is the solution to any issue or challenge. November 2010 can't get here fast nough and we must get to the polls in big numbers. Those lacking common sense stay home.
  8. Yeah, but no QB has ever overcome Dick Jauron. Nobody. Can't be done.
  9. Looking at who we elect to public office (and re-elect) supports your premise.
  10. OK, you or anyone else that watched tonight's game and even a couple of LV or Florida UFL games, make your case now that those teams couldn't beat the Bills or Jets tonight or a handful of NFL teams on any given Sunday. That Bollinger or JP wouldn't be better than the likes of Kellen Clemmons or a number of QBs in the NFL. As you make your case, talk to me about the $110+ million dollar NFL payrolls compared to under $20 million for those teams. I'll answer as to why many of the UFL players aren't on NFL rosters. There are plenty of lousy NFL GMs, scouts and coaches. The NFL has some embarrassing teams, Bills included.
  11. I have no problem with civil unions for gays. I have a much bigger problem that they grow up to be whiny liberal loons that cry for every lefty cause out there. Any man willing to insert his penis in another man's anus over and over should be tougher minded. Not everyone is tough enough to do that. Certainly not me.
  12. I think you should make a big campaign donation to Chris Dodd.
  13. Not if we keep electing Democrats (or Republicans for that matter) with zero fiscal responsibility.
  14. Yes, fans have a birth right to watch all their team's games on TV for free.
  15. This is one issue where you think both parties would agree with the numbers being what they are. Stop the fuc$ing spending!!!
  16. Probably. Cries of racism are best saved for actual acts of racism.
  17. To me DJ would be more like a sleeping pill than a tornado.
  18. Completely agree. If you're trying to send a message and to build consensus, stick to the facts. My gosh, you could fill many billboards with numbers to support the cause.
  19. I guess it's the entrepreneur in me that sees it otherwise. I give the founders of the league a lot of credit for getting it started. I watched about 5 games and came away with a good impression of the play on the field, the coaching, officiating and TV coverage. No it wasn't always up to NFL standards but they working with much smaller budgets and it's a startup. I'd like to see it succeed and it provides a nice opportunity for fans to see games at a much lower cost and for palyers to play that otherwise wouldn't. If there was a team here in Chicago, I'd take my family to see a game.
  20. You don't think that has anything to do with the fact that ESPN broadcasts NFL games and a competing network broadcasts UFL games?
  21. NFL GMs and coaches will decide if he can cut it or not. Nonetheless, He's got a football championship on his resume. Good for him.
  22. You can say what you want about JPs faults, but you're not giving him his due. He played 6 games, 123/198, 62.1%, 1388, 9 TDs, 2 INTs. That's a 94+ rating. Not bad and tonight he's a champion. He played well for his team. Bollinger had better numbers and was impressive through the season, but had a tough game today. Not saying either of these guys are NFL starters, but playing in the UFL this year and playing well should give them some opportunities for NFL contracts. Nice job overall for the season by both of them IMO.
  23. I had 2 of those also. I was changing cars back then like people changing their underwear. I called them "last owner cars" because I knew when I bought them I would be the last owner.
  24. Have you looked at the Federal Income tax brackets? Take a look and let me know where the upper income earners are getting a break and the penniless are getting soaked. Better yet, here they are below for your convenience. Single on left, joint on the right. This is Fed tax only. State tax not shown. Marginal Tax Rate Single Married Filing Jointly 10% $0-$8,350 $0-$16,700 15% $8,350-$33,950 $16,700-$67,900 25% $33,950-$82,250 $67,900-$137,050 28% $82,250-$171,550 $137,050-$208,850 33% $171,550-$372,950 $208,850-$372,950 35% > $372,950 > $372,950
