9/11 masterminds to be tried in Lower Manhattan

Leahy is a joke. Always has been. -
more "unintended consequences"; credit card fee's
keepthefaith replied to Magox's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Yeah, but the banks have to find new sources of revenue since the credit card reform Obama and company rammed down their throats. If not they'll have to cut costs and lay people off increasing unemployment and slowing the economy which will reduce consumer spending and credit card use which will further reduce bank revenue and cause more layoffs. We better pay those fees. -
Why the Bills are attractive for a Big Name Coach

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ There will only be about 6 of these jobs available in the next 3 months. Get one while you can. I do think Ralph will compete to get a good one. He has no time to waste. -

I applaud you for making the effort to buy American made products. Personally I think this adinistration and a number of industries are missing on a great opportunity to promote a "buy American" effort. We're a free market economy for the most part and we don't protect our industries from foreign competition but there is no reason why we can't become loyal consumers. Congrats on getting a job. Being out 6 months is not bad in this economy. We've got lots of oil in Alaska, American made. -
Yeah, he loves to fish and hates cold weather.

New Gallup Poll on Health Care Reform
keepthefaith replied to Magox's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
No. Buried in nearly every Obama policy (and many not buried very deep) is economic assistance for minorities. His plan is to provide what he calls "economic justice" to minorities. Don't call me a racist. These are his words as he stated in an interview before he was elected to the senate. He stated that one of the failures of the civil rights movement was that it provided for social justice but fell short of providing economic justice or compensation to minorities. He's clearly carrying this out in his stimulus, mortgage bailout and health care programs. -
Mine are solid. Let's call it a tie.

Today at 3:30 in the afternoon on AM1000 in Chicago, local radio guys were discussing their top 5 coaching candidates to replace Lovie Smith in Chicago. Lovie has no been fired yet. One of the guys had Marv as number 3 on his list of coaching candidates. True!

Best Plan yet!!!! by Jason LaCanfora (NFL Channel)
keepthefaith replied to Craiger93's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's up to Ralph. Hopefully he told Brandon, "I'm tired of losing." "Go out and get us the best GM, personnel and coaching staff we can find, and I don't care what it costs!" -
Expect Jauron to be fired tomorrow

Well, we were off by 1 day. Ralph isn't quite as quick as he once was. -

He (or she for all we know) is not worth it. I haven't seen one post from the big kitty that addresses an issue with facts. All typical lib argumentative responses to deflect from the topic. None of the libs on this board will support their views with facts. They simply attack the other side with unsubstantiated rants to support the lib agenda without facts, numbers or evidence. You have to wonder how so many are committed to a leftist agenda that deep down inside they can't support with a shred of common sense. I'm still waiting for any lib around here to tell us why (with facts and numbers) why we should get on board with this Obama/Pelosi/Reid piece of shyt agenda. -

Obama sells out America again
keepthefaith replied to Alaska_Darin_Is_Gay's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Too soon to tell but the White House and Congress are polarizing voters and losing the independents (based on polls) with the damage being done with all the monster bills. We know the simulus is an expensive bust. The various bailouts are unpopular, cap and trade is not popular, their health care reform will create a lot of ill (pun intended) will and the deficits that they have forecasted will grow well beyond the forecasts as they are based on unrealistic numbers. They still have a great opportunity to screw up the immigration problem and get a lot of new taxes passed. Add to this unpopular wars that are moving slowly at best and the lack of respect Obama is getting from the world's bad guys and I think this all spells trouble for even the best Obama campaign. Frankly, I think the door will be quite open and we can only hope we get a change to a fiscal conservative who will put us on the very long road to recovery. -
You're forgetting that there was no time to read and review the bill. It was critical that Congress vote on it as soon as they did. With only 1200 pages devoted to the $800 billion dollar monster, it's easy to understand why some details would be overlooked.

I would advise you to keep some of this to yourself. It's like you're having a garage sale of your personal virtues.

These districts will probably exist after the White House does their thing with the census.

I'd take the bet if we didn't have to count on the poor judgment of so many when casting their vote. Frankly, even with that I think Barack will have his hands full. So far he's setting himself up to fail. I can't see a success yet from the larger policies he's supporting. Palin won't be his opponent. Huckabee has so much that Barack doesn't. 1. Common sense 2. A grasp of fiscal responsibility 3. 11 years as a governor, actually managing and leading a large organization 4. No ties to wacky left wing minority groups, terrorists, unions or criminals -

Obama's accomplishments? Before or after he was elected? Rodman looks to have been a much better ball player than what we're seeing from Obama as a President or a Senator for that matter. -

We deny entry to people with other diseases like Tuberculosis. My guess is that Obama knows we will treat people with AIDS for free. A little payback for his African friends that he visited on two taxpayer funded trips. That's more important than protecting U.S. citizens from risk and saving precious taxpayer dollars. Kumbaya. -
Just when you think one party has gained the upper hand (dems), they hand the ball to the opposition like a Rob Johnson sack and fumble. Friggin Dems can't help themselves when it coms to spending and even in the face of horrible budget deficits they cling to their bad habits with the strength of epoxy. Gonna be tough to buy votes in 2010 with all the red ink.

That is funny. Sad but funny. I hope somebody here has the balls to step up to the plate and take an honest swing at this. We'll see. -
Have you noticed how Democrat elected officials, the media and libs like yourself mock the tea party movement and never address the issues that got the movemet started? Let's take the wreckless spending that is going on in Washington that is a core issue of this movement. Have you yourself heard the issue, looked at the issue and come to your own honest conclusion? If so, care to put that conclusion right here? Do you think that just possibly there is some merit to the concern being expressed? Do you think it might be wise for people to take a serious look at that issue and provide a serious response?
