  1. I see your point. The attackers made a decision to do what they did, but we really don't know why. Their character sucks and that's the problem. Lousy character comes in all shapes, sizes, ages and races.
  2. I don't think race has any thing to do with this situation. The character of the attackers is the story.
  3. Exactly and government culture isn't exactly conducive to "customer satisfaction". All industries have a culture and the government services culture (at least what we see from the public point of view) is not one known for common sense, responsiveness and quality of service.
  4. Agree States should fund (at least the majority) of Medicaid costs and administer their own benefits. Frankly since we have such a political divide in this country we should push more benefits and laws out to the states and let their residents and voters determine such things. As for the risk money holder, I much prefer to have a private insurance company that has to compete for my business and satisfaction as the provider over the government. If I'm unhappy with the service I get from my insurance company, I (or their collective customers) can scream bloody murder and/or take my business elsewhere to get results. If you're unhappy with the government as the gatekeeper, leverage is nil and unfortunately my life experiences with government overwhelmingly support this view.
  5. Single payer would likely stipulate coverage levels so where's the choice in that? How would it be funded? What does one do when they aren't happy with the service provide by their government? If the government wants to offer Medicare to anyone that wants it at any age and have people pay for that coverage themselves and not create budget deficits in the process, I'm all for it. Let the rest of us that prefer to do it privately do that.
  6. Women voters and young voters are ruining this country. Many have taken the bait dangled by Dems.
  7. Uh, no. People want choice and would prefer not to have a Post Office-like organization orchestrating their health care. For the time being I prefer to buy health insurance from Fedex or UPS instead. Hopefully I'll be healthy enough not to rely on Medicare too much when the time comes.
  8. Yesterday I accused you of having no sense of smell. Today I'm saying you of having no sense of decency. You flat out suck.
  9. He has no sense of smell. Doesn't know when something stinks.
  10. Makes you appreciate a head coach in professional sports (who are under a microscope at all times) that stands in front of the camera minutes after a painful loss and takes the blame, explains what happened and makes no excuses - even when they know their own job and popularity are on the line.
  11. So previous bad behavior makes it just? How Obama and Co. have handled this is totally unacceptable. It was B.O. who said during his 2008 campaign and after that election that he would have the most transparent administration ever. That was his first lie unless you consider the ease at which we can all see his lies as the transparency he intended.
  12. Trump's a love him or dislike him kinda guy. I think he'd be a very good owner but there may be others without the polarizing personality that would be more agreeable to the owners.
  13. Democrats should follow the advice of one of their party leaders, Hillary, and not be at all concerned with the bridge incident. After all, what difference does it make at this point.
  14. Lets nominate and elect Condi Rice. We can check off 3 boxes with her election. Black, female and competent.
  15. Politically speaking, there is too much Bush baggage and Jeb should realize that and stay away. Republican voters need to select someone that will govern well AND can win a general election. I doubt Jeb can do the latter. He can blame his brother.
  16. "Under the requirements, anyone on an official trip is forbidden to drink alcohol in the 10 hours leading up to an assignment." Yeah but once the assignment starts, drinking might be allowed so what's the big deal?
  17. To speculate what might happen this soon and without intimate knowledge of the trust and the legal expertise to explain it isn't very useful There are many scenarios that could play out over a period of years. The Bills aren't going anywhere anytime soon. The last thing the family and team leadership need right now is any media attention on this. I'm sure the Bills will be making public statements to the community in the coming weeks and months. Speculation on this is about as useful as a mock draft done by people who know little about football.
  18. Well when you take the teeth out of the law that'll soften the blow. Extending enrollment and eliminating mandates means the law isn't so much the law - for now. Political delays might help dems sidestep the issue for a while but only short term. Obama is simply kicking the can down the road in the truest of DC fashion.
  19. She should run for pres.
  20. As long as the ACA provides free or heavily subsidized coverage to millions, I doubt Obama and co. care a rats ass about rising rates or fewer choices for the majority. Deficits and unisured people won't bother him either.
  21. He was quite a humble guy given his wealth and high profile position. Do people remember that for years he drove an old Ford Taurus when he was in town? I always admired him for that.
  22. Ralph had a great run and had a very positive influence on WNY. Tough loss.
  23. Seems about right. Russia's actions shall have no impact on the advancement of socialist policies in the U.S. Nothing trumps the Obama agenda.
