  1. Yeah the government does manufacture metal coins and paper money. If I'm not mistaken a good amount over the past few years of "extra money" has been printed and given to evil bankers of all people. That money is making the rich richer. How can you and your liberal friends put up with that? You should be screaming bloody murder. Liberals making the rich richer?
  2. The ACA gets blamed now for all of the increases which isn't entirely fair criticism, but given all the other untruths that were told about the bill, it's just.
  3. I'm gonna rationalize your response on your long term use of heavy medication. Tell her to become a hair dresser. You actually have to touch the person to perform the service. Hard to automate that or make it in China.
  4. I think you meant, He doesn't deal in reality.
  5. Here are just a few off the top of my head. Like shooting fish in a barrel. $19T debt Even further diminished relations with many nations An increased number of unemployed (not the published percentage number, the actual number of people looking for work) Substantially more people on government assistance A debacle of a health insurance solution SS, Medicaid and medicare in worse fiscal shape Millions more illegal immigrants in the country Low consumer confidence Low business confidence Higher taxes The lowest confidence in government ever The lowest international respect for America ever Anyone else, feel free to pile on.
  6. Obama was very vocal about the mess he felt Bush left for him. Look at the bag of crap Obama will leave for the next President! That bag gets heavier every day.
  7. Obama continues to raise his own bar on reckless decisions. It is breathtaking.
  8. Dareus and Hughes should invest in a recreational drag race car and get some training. Great off-season fun and cheaper than racing on the street, crashing and getting arrested.
  9. They are both bad but in very different ways. Bush's decision (yes he did get bi-partisan approval) looks pretty bad given the outcome and the lost American lives. That weighs quite heavily to me. That and he spent his entire presidency managing wars and not getting much else done worth noting. He badly damaged his party. Obama makes the wrong decision at nearly every turn, plays politics with everything and deliberately deceives the public often. The sum of his blunders gets him equal to Bush in my book. If not for the loss soldiers in Iraq, Obama would be taking the cake here Obama is shooting holes in his party now. Whichever party is in power generally !@#$s up.
  10. I believe that portions of the liberal media are looking at their ratings, their profits or losses and the polls and stubbornly coming to the conclusion that they will have to start being critical of this administration.
  11. It would be much cleaner and simpler to repeal the entire piece of crap and then pass a simple short bill or two to retain the very little in obamacare that is worth saving.
  12. Even better if the explosive type is inserted.
  13. I don't know if we've seen the premiums completely yet. At our renewal time last July we were offered a renewal through the end of 2014 instead of just 1 year and we took that option at a modest increase (about 20% increase, modest my ass). We won't see rates for a plan that meets the new HHS requirements until very late this year. Possibly after the election, so there must be something in the law or one of Obama;s executive orders that allowed for this to happen. If others did something similar then there will be a big point of pain at the end of this year.
  14. This is a tough call. For sure we want to get our guy out of there. We paid a very high price. Very high. It's hard to envision the 5 terrorists going back and not engaging in more terrorist activities. Hard to believe that Qatar will keep these guys under control for the long term. The risk of other Americans being held for the same reason goes way up. As long as we're in the trading people for people business, I'd call Mexico tomorrow and work a trade of 10 million of theirs for our former Marine that is in custody.
  15. Universities now go way out of their way to recruit and graduate more "minority" engineers. They frequently have lower academic admission standards and throw a lot of money at minority and woman students. Even with that they aren't getting big numbers in terms of minority students applying. The opportunity is there both to get educated and hired. Where my son who is currently an engineering student goes to school, a kid from Pittsburgh with 1 parent from PA and the other from South America is considered a minority student (he's as white as they come) and gets preferential tuition, class registration and a guaranteed internship. Now is that fair and just?
  16. The liberalization of America continues. Government knows best.
  17. I found his spin to be pretty thin and obvious. I wouldn't call him good at spin but he gets an A for effort. Don't know how the guy slept at night given the crap he put out there every day.
  18. Shouldn't Google hire whoever they feel are the best candidates? Why does color or gender matter? Given how diverse our country is becoming shouldn't we be at a point where we move past race and gender metrics and look at qualifications only? Who and what is a minority at this point? Doesn't Google have other more important business challenges than worrying about the composition of their workforce?
  19. I find it hard to believe that an Irish woman (McNorton) would yell out the phrase "molly wop yo ass".
  20. Look, it's clear we need more spending, more debt and much higher taxes. Otherwise this economy will simply stagnate forever. Why can't this do nothing Congress get on board!?
  21. Clearly written by a liberal who dislikes Trump. Frankly, Buffalo fans would benefit more from Trump being President than they would as him being the Bills Owner.
  22. Reading this thread and several of the others dealing with new ownership is really entertaining. Seems that a number of "fans" have a really troubling disdain for wealthy successful people. To those of you that have that view (including those of you that will now deny having that view), here's a newsflash: The next Bills owner or owner group will be wealthy folks. Expect some ego and a profit motive and remember that every year a rich owner wins the Superbowl (with the lone exception being the Green Bay Packers).
  23. I get that people look at this crime and on the surface want to stop people from having guns, but when you dive into the issue and weigh all the concerns in support of rights and protection, there just is no easy answer to the problem. Some small percentage of people are going to act irresponsibly with just about anything whether it be a gun, car, alcohol, drugs, knife, chemicals or even their big mouths for that matter. I don't think eliminating gun rights, re-enacting prohibition or eliminating free speech improves our way of life.
  24. Someone who wants to do what Roger did will find a way without a gun. Build a bomb, start a fire, mow down a bunch of people with a car or other means. I don't think removing the convenience of a gun reduces these attacks much unfortunately. Like many bad things, it usually takes a series of occurrences to end in this bad result. In this case there were missed opportunities to intervene by the therapist, parents and police. They made an effort but it fell short. That will be looked at very closely if the media can get off the knee-jerk gun control mantra.
