  1. The more dangerous ruling to me was the one that supported that everyone has to buy health insurance or pay the fine(tax).
  2. Still relevant today.
  3. It sucks but I think we have to wait for Q2 numbers to see where we are at YTD. Q2 could be a big positive and could cancel the poor Q1 numbers. Of course we then have to wait for the Q2 revision.
  4. The media's lack of coverage of this and the several other rotten to the core situations is breathtaking. You would think from a business standpoint, reporting the truth and covering the truly big stories would be good for the media business. Fox has to be laughing their asses off having a near monopoly on many big stories.
  5. Koskinen testified the other day that experts tried to recover data from her drive but they had found bad sectors on the drive and were unable to recover any data. This is utter BS as you can recover data from a drive with bad sectors easily using some rather ordinary utilities. You won't get it all but probably a large majority of it can be recovered in a few hours. Now who out there if they had a work hard drive fail doesn't ask the IT people to restore their email, contacts, etc onto the new hard drive when the computer is fixed? Most people these days would go batshit if their hard drive failed and then found out that IT couldn't or wouldn't restore all of the files.
  6. Yeah. Usually you would think that a comp plan at this level would be pretty well spelled out in black and white. Maybe not in this case.
  7. What's really disappointing is to see that those who painted him as a socialist like we've never seen in this country before his first election are turning out to be spot-on.
  8. I'll be there. This will be a tough one for the Bills. I'd be more confident if the game were later in the season after the Bills and coaches had more experience with each other. Bears by 13.
  9. Forces of nature caused the Earth to come out of the ice age a looonnnggg time ago. Those forces then stopped and our climate was to maintain itself for eternity with no variation. Then man came along and started burning things which is now causing change. Had man not done this, there would be no change in the climate. Is this what we are supposed to believe is true?
  10. I've often said we should have a flatter tax code and actually charge people for the government they have (collect what you spend and that includes SS and Medicare) and then we'll have taxpayers take a greater interest in gov't spending and agencies such as the IRS.
  11. Gosh, you'd think we were there now, at the point the media would drop an avalanche on him. They've got a lot of material to work with right now on not only the IRS thing but so many other issues. As much bad policy and practice as I can ever recall in my lifetime yet the majority of the media remains silent. I think Obama would have to be involved in a sex scandal before the media would bring him down. Not because that's any worse than what's going on now but because it would sell.
  12. You should be correct but I don't think there are enough voters that are aware of this or the several other horrendous acts coming out of this white house. Probably about 40% of the population will support Obama and Democrats no matter what he or they do and they simply feel that the end justifies the means. Of the remaining 60% probably only a third of those are actually paying attention to news and since there is little coverage except from Fox, these issues are probably only getting through to 20% of the public. Many of them are loyal Republicans so the numbers that are swayed is pretty small IMO.
  13. Hope she runs. She is the kook of kooks.
  14. Being uneducated and having a criminal record may be grounds for long term disability due to "mental illness".
  15. Nobody is against Americans getting health care. The debate is over who should pay, how it should be acquired and what choices people and employers should have.
  16. Obama, smartest guy in the room is sending 300 "advisors" to Iraq. How many people does it take to tell the Iraqi's that their army is too small and what army they do have sucks?
  17. You forgot fundraising.
  18. Obviously, the Lerner email and email of several others is very incriminating and has been deliberately destroyed.
  19. It's ridiculous that the Iraqi military can't get rid of a few hundred trouble makers after all the training and equipment we provided. Have they no pilots, jets, helicopters and tanks?
  20. It's fair to question our decision to do what we did in Iraq 10 years ago. The question now is what should be done and how and when. The when was probably months ago unless we plan to do nothing. The big question is will Obama fix or !@#$ up what Bush !@#$ed up.
  21. I find it hard to believe that an agency such as the IRS does not have very disciplined archival and redundancy systems and practices in place given the nature of their business.
  22. I heard much of the press conference. Obama sounded pretty reasonable and communicated his position pretty well I thought. A sense of urgency seemed lacking but let's see if we take any prudent action and create a good outcome on this one.
  23. What clothing would you recommend for her? Frankly, with her physique, what difference does it make?
