It's amazing how many of the "can't miss" or highly regarded college QBs don't do well in the NFL. Hardest job in sports.

Bush vs Obama: Who's Worse?
keepthefaith replied to Dorkington's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Meanwhile, Obama is surging ahead in this poll. -
You have to give Hillary some credit for knowing what a wreck the Obama 2nd term would be and for getting off that bus at a very good time.

Marrone open to bringing in another viable QB.
keepthefaith replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. I think most of the Bills players themselves would be shocked if another QB wasn't brought in after final cuts. Stay tuned. -
It's his status in Acedemia which reduces his credibility. In the real world where things get done, professors and scholars don't have the same influence as those who have actually accomplished things.

Obama has said he wants justice to be served so I hope the Brits don't kill him before The U.S. can capture him and try him in a U.S. court.

Could be a long grace period for ISIS. Switzerland wasn't given UN member status until 2002 and their last aggression (except for a civil war) was in 1815. http://www.un.org/en...rs/growth.shtml http://en.wikipedia....ing_Switzerland

Yes, evaluate EJ, the players and the coaches at the end of the season. -
Why Does Al Sharpton Need Police Officer's Name?
keepthefaith replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Everybody wakes up in the morning and through the course of each day make many decision on what to do, what to say and what to think. Some people just make 100's, 1000's and even 1,000,000's of better decisions than others over the course of a lifetime. Right now I'm questioning my decision to invest the time it took to post this. -
Terrible article. The team is worth whatever real buyers will pay for it not what some armchair QB investment writer thinks. $800-$900 for the Bills means the big franchises like NE and Dallas more than double that at the same ROI. The real sale number could be less once they get deep into due diligence and any shortcomings of the franchise are exposed and negotiated.

Bush vs Obama: Who's Worse?
keepthefaith replied to Dorkington's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
In your world Dick Jauron was an excellent head football coach for the Bills because he won so many more games than did Hank Bullough. -
1. No they will not try because they realize there are far too many eyes on this thing and an effort to cover up is too risky. I am 100% sure they will not attempt a cover up but it wouldn't be a stretch at all for cops to "have each other's back" in a less visible case. 2. I do not believe that Eric Holder will file Federal civil rights charges against the officer as the burden of proof (that the shooting ws racially motivated) is a high bar. I'm 80% sure of this. If the feds are able to file other non-race related charges against the officer, then I am only 50% sure. I'm 100% sure that Holder wants charges filed locally as it gets him off the hook for what might be a very difficult decision and case to pursue Federal charges and yes I realize you didn't ask that.

Bush vs Obama: Who's Worse?
keepthefaith replied to Dorkington's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Ya know one of the points in my post was to forget about what the likes of Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush and heck George Washington have done. Put Congress aside as well. Drop the comparisons of which President did the worst things and just take a fair look at the performance of the guy in the White House now. Look simply at the issues he's confronted and the decisions and actions he has or hasn't taken. Maybe I should have said it more clearly for you. My apologies. -
Bush vs Obama: Who's Worse?
keepthefaith replied to Dorkington's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I'm a righty and disapproved of Bush on many things during his presidency. Probably true of many here. Where's the blind loyalty in that? Obama's poll support has dipped well into the range where many people that voted for him disapprove, so there are at least some out there that have shed the blinders and are seeing things for what they are. It wouldn't take much of a man to look at even just recent events like the border fiasco and the late response to ISIS and conclude at the very least that Obama's asleep at the switch or even worse is deliberately ignoring these problems. Heck. we can wind back the clock several years and easily find a couple dozen more big blunders that he owns. -
Bush vs Obama: Who's Worse?
keepthefaith replied to Dorkington's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
So Obama's horrible performance is justified because Bush was horrible? I expect the opinion media crowd to simply attack the other side as a way of doing their business. However, here at PPP we're free to actually evaluate and even critique the performance of the politicians and party we each support. We don't have to blindly defend our guys or gals because we don't have to worry about ratings or our relationships with the politicians themselves. -
Why Does Al Sharpton Need Police Officer's Name?
keepthefaith replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
As a cop you know the law and you should also know that the law doesn't always get interpreted or enforced exactly as written. There will likely be a mountain of legal muscle on the victim's side not to mention political muscle. The victim doesn't need a winning case for charges to be filed. They simply need enough to convince a 3/4 majority of jurors that it's worth pursuing. For these reasons I think charges will be filed. We'll see how it progresses. -
Why Does Al Sharpton Need Police Officer's Name?
keepthefaith replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Your reading comprehension is atrocious. I have never said that I think he should be criminally charged or that I want him charged. I've stated several times that I believe he will be charged. -
Why Does Al Sharpton Need Police Officer's Name?
keepthefaith replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
You haven't debunked anything. I'm simply stating what I believe will happen. If you feel that this will never result in charges being filed against the officer, fine. I see it going the other way and not because I disagree with you, but because of how I think the legal process will play out on this one and who is involved. I could very well be wrong. We'll see where it goes. -
Why Does Al Sharpton Need Police Officer's Name?
keepthefaith replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The officer hasn't given his story publically yet as far as I know and the decision to charge or not will be based on evidence presented to a grand jury. If 9 of 12 of those people feel there is evidence to support a charge, he gets charged. The looters mean nothing. I'm simply stating what I think will happen. I believe he'll be charged. -
Why Does Al Sharpton Need Police Officer's Name?
keepthefaith replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I've simply stated stated what I believe will be the outcome of this situation. I never said what my position is and won't until I see more facts, but I think the officer will have a very hard time explaining why he shot this person 6 times and twice to the head. I think the chances of the officer not being charged are slim to none. I don't see Mr. Holder letting this slide and I think the local authorities will be under intense pressure to bring charges and let the court, lawyers and jurors sort it out. -

keepthefaith replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
You may be 100% correct but back to my original point which is that I think the officer will ultimately be convicted of something. Highly likely he'll be charged if for no other reason than public pressure and I can see a plea or some conviction from there. The whole thing sucks for all involved.
