  1. Isn't Trump the subject of dozens of law suits as we speak? True.
  2. Not going to Defend Trump's character but there is a difference between consensual sex between adults long before being a President and luring an intern into your office while being President. In the private sector, no CEO that gets a hummer in their office from an intern keeps their job once that becomes public. Bill was lucky to stay in office IMO.
  3. Agree. Nothing wrong with selective viewing of women of the proper age though.
  4. Photoshop is the 2nd best invention ever behind only yoga pants.
  5. I don't see the folly in companies buying back their own stock. Private companies go public, public companies at times buy back their own stock and sometimes public companies (like Dell) buy out shareholders and go private. Private companies buy and sell stock (to and from other private investors) all the time. Seems to me that all of this is fine a long as they play by the rules. Companies should make their own decisions on what they do with their profits. If they are stingy to workers then those workers will leave for greener pastures. We are seeing the labor force tighten now and wages are beginning to rise which is a good thing and It'll probably take another calendar year before we see the impact of the corporate tax cuts. As I talk to people who work in a variety of businesses and those that work for public companies or very large private companies, I'm hearing pretty much across the board that the employers are doing something for their workers. Companies that aren't struggling that is. Even our tiny company at the end of last year paid out some bonuses to everyone.
  6. We need to bring back fistfights after school. Those actually solved a lot.
  7. No I said I agreed with you on the responsible government comment, although you and I probably don't define that the same. Social services since the new deal have risen steadily since. Just look at state and federal spending for since that time. It's consumed a greater portion of the economy over the years. Federal numbers here. https://www.usgovernmentspending.com/entitlement_spending
  8. I was with you through the responsible government part.
  9. Me too. My kids all were spanked from time to time. All were involved in tough competitive and in some cases risky competitive activities for years (the kind very few parents would allow) and all worked for $ at a young age outside of the house. All did their own school work with not much help from Mom and Dad and we didn't give them money very often for things they wanted once they got into their teens. They paid from their own pocket. And yes it has paid off. However, we are surrounded in our community with families that operate very differently.
  10. To answer the title of this thread, to a great extent yes we are.
  11. Ever notice that Obama never plainly states what he wants? What changes to this country and this earth does he want to see specifically? He never puts his cards on the table and exposes the global communist that he is.
  12. Has anyone considered the possibility that Melania is aware with Donald's marital transgressions and might be OK with it? It was part of the package from day 1?
  13. Both parties should be done but in order for that to happen, a majority of Americans have to be paying attention and have to care. The vast majority and I mean vast majority aren't and don't. Some think they do (pay attention and care) but they really aren't. The closest thing we've had in my lifetime to a real movement for change was the tea party which got pounded into near irrelevancy by the MSM and even some Republican pols. Unfortunately even though the Democrat party has taken some shots in recent years (losing more elections) my painful belief is that our country is moving left on a steady basis and that will begin to show in election results as early as 2020. It's going to take a catastrophic economic event before people wake up IMO. Until then buying votes with other people's money will probably win. You can argue that Trump won on that same strategy with tax cuts as a leading policy and with fiscal responsibility being a distant 5th or 6th on his agenda.
  14. That belief is understandable given the billions of $ spent propping her up and the additional many billions worth of free PR provided by the media. Her story would make for a great upper level college marketing case study. How to build the perception of a positive brand from mostly negative accomplishments and characteristics.
  15. Even more reason for Bill not to like Donald.
  16. Don't need no stinkin' rules. Let it rip.
  17. Are you saying that if Trump continues piggish behavior with women, the economy will tank?
  18. A big position of need for this team. The only starting caliber receiver on the roster is KB, so they need two more unless Zay Jones can correct both his lackluster play and whatever else is troubling him now. He's a big risk at the moment.
  19. We all know that Trump isn't leaving office and that removing him from office isn't the goal of the left until 2020. I'm afraid you're stuck with the kid from Queens for a few more years. Republicans are looking pretty smart politically actually having nominated Trump from a field of 16 candidates and pushing him over the finish line in 2016. As bad as Hillary was it would be hard to say that most of the other 15 candidates would have also defeated her. Would you agree or do you think Hillary would have been shellacked by any of them?
  20. Zuckerberg is and has been a complete tool.
  21. Greatest invention in my lifetime.
  22. Yes. Last night I looked up all the QBs drafted over the past 12 years or so. It's easy to do right here. http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldraft?type=position Paging through the picks over the years clearly shows that higher 1st round picked QBs are better than those picked below them and the deeper you go in the draft the less likely it is to find a keeper. Past the 2nd round there aren't many. You can argue that some of the guys drafted didn't get as much opportunity as others. However, there are plenty of 1st round QB's that never played up the expectations so there is risk picking anywhere, just less risk in the first half of the 1st round.
  23. I don't know how any team could pass up Barkley if he is available anywhere from #1 and down. Even if you have a RB named McCoy on your team. Dead serious.
