  1. Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State - Cardinals Rome Odunze, Washington - Giants Ladd McConkey, Georgia - 49ers Brian Thomas Jr., LSU - Bills Xavier Worthy Texas- Chiefs
  2. Coleman has no separation skills. That's not going to work for Allen.
  3. I think this is a silly argument. Kincaid has now proven himself and will likely get the lions share of tight end targets. We will run a lot more 12 personnel and disguise run/throw options better with Knox back.
  4. Dude, you were a lot more rational and measured with your responses when you lived in Portland. It's a long season. Enjoy the story.
  5. If Keenum is cut by the Texans, we apparently lose the Edmunds 3rd round pick. We need to either ensure the Texans keep him or we need to trade for him - Joe B says 6th or 7th but he might actually be worth a 4th to us in that scenario.
  6. Congenital? Congenial maybe? 🙂
  7. Not sure if this was mentioned among the discussion about jumping the Cowboys to get our pick but I heard a Peter King interview yesterday and he said that KC was also targeting Kincaid in the 1st.
  8. Van Ness should be a top 15 pick. I think other than JSN, I'm not sure I go WR in the first (even though I like Addison and Flowers). I'd pick Van Ness if this unlikely situation came up.
  9. He's been brought here to be a wide receiver. He's had 9 fumbles in less than 100 touches. Every one of them came as a returner. He's not going to be playing special teams unless it's an emergency.
  10. I love Milano's game but he's not a good tackler. Joe Marino's podcast went through missed tackle rates for every defender and Milano's was atrocious - way worse than Edmunds. Although that problem may be endemic to our scheme.
  11. Link to Athletic article --- The battery of tests they had patients perform then are similar to the ones the athletes take now, only they’re modified to record the differences between brains that are merely healthy and ones that work on another level. Ally says the results are predictive. He couldn’t give out Purdy’s exact score because it’s privileged information but said it was in the “mid 90s.” That’s about where Brees, the former Saints quarterback famous for lightning-fast decision-making, scored and where two of the top passers in the league now, the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes and the Bills’ Josh Allen, also landed. The Bengals’ Joe Burrow took the test while at LSU and agreed to allow S2 to disclose the information. Of course he did — he scored in the 97th percentile. --- The article goes on to say that safety, cornerback and linebacker are the other positions where heightened awareness and response time are reflected in scores and correlate with success.
  12. Our zone scheme works when: 1. We play average or worse QBs 2. We have Von Miller causing pressure in under 3 seconds When we don't, we need some creativity on defense and McD and Frazier need to see what other teams do before they implement a change. And that's kinda sad.
  13. Actually, no! The Bengals have preached aggressiveness and have taken the ball first since the early weeks of the season. They have supreme confidence in their offense h kinda like our offense of the last 2 late seasons (not this one obviously)
  14. Dr Pepper is mostly Dr Bronner's peppermint soap with all the natural ingredients missing.
  15. Sorry if this was posted elsewhere but I thought, of all the brief write-ups I've read of the Bills game, this was the best. From football outsiders: What Happened: The Bills took an early 17-0 lead, then indulged in their all-too-common urge for autoerotic asphyxiation. Three Josh Allen turnovers, a few not-quite-caught Allen bombs, and some missed tackles later, the Bills trailed 24-20 midway through the third quarter while Skylar Thompson and the Dolphins looked on in awkward astonishment. A Kaiir Elam interception and Cole Beasley touchdown gave the Bills back the lead, but they weren't done choking themselves for jollies: coordinator Ken Dorsey broke out the Nothing But Hero Balls game plan to "protect" that lead, and the Dolphins pulled within a field goal on a Jeff Wilson touchdown run to cap a long drive. That's when Mike McDaniel's hybrid edibles kicked in and he forgot what sport he coached. McDaniel began calling timeouts because he did not like the defensive formation as if he were Mike Krzyzewski. With no timeouts left when trailing by three, McDaniel took forever to get a fourth-and-1 call into the huddle, resulting in a delay-of-game penalty that led to a Bills defensive stop which (essentially) iced the game. https://www.footballoutsiders.com/walkthrough/2023/bills-vs-bills-bengals-survive-giants-leap-forward
